  • mata ke garbh mean malin bhojan ke jo dosh shishu mean a jate haian, unake nivaran aur shishu ko shuddh bhojan karane ki prakriya ko annaprashan-sanskar kaha jata hai -

annashananmatrigarbhe malashadyapi shuddhayati.[1]

  • shishu ko jab 6-7 mah ki avastha mean pey padarth, doodh adi ke atirikt pratham bar yajn adi karake ann khilana praranbh kiya jata hai, to yah kary annaprashan-sanskar ke nam se jana jata hai. is sanskar ka uddeshy yah hota hai shishu susanskari ann grahan kare.
