gunjan kavi sumitranandan pnt ka kavy-sngrah hai. isaka prakashan sanh 1932 men hua tha. ise kavi pnt ne apane pranon ka 'unman-gunjan' kaha hai. yah snkalan 'vina' 'pallav' kal ke bad kavi ke naye bhavoday ki soochana deti hai. isamen ham use manav ke kalyan aur mngalasha ke naye sootr kavyabaddh karate pate hain. kalpana aur bhavana ka vah uddabh pravah jo 'pallav' ki rachanaon ke unmadak banata hai, 'gunjan' men nahin hai. ek akarshak komal abhijaty se snkalan ki rachanaen otaprot hain.

1922 aur 1927 ki rachanaen

do-char rachanaon ko chhodakar jo 1922 aur 1927 ki rachanaen hain ya jinaka rachanakal kuchh pahale 1918 tak jata hai, shesh rachanaen 1932 ki hi srishti hain. yah varsh pnt ke kavi-jivan ka mod kaha ja sakata hai kyonki isase unaki snvedana, abhivynjana tatha chintan ko nayi disha milati hai. 'madan-dahan'[1] ke bad nootan anng ka yah janm svayn kavi ke svastivachan ka vishay bana hai.

pragitatmakata

grnth 45 gitiyan snkalit hain. inamen pragitatmakata ke sath sngit ki svar-lahari bhi milegi. vastut: inamen anek rachanaen 'gan' ki koti men ayengi. naye gitakanth ne bhasha-shaili, chhand aur moortt-vidhan sabhi dishaon men naya samarambh prastut kiya hai. in pragiton men antas ka madhury, bhavabodh, saundary-sambhar evn git-vilas asha aur mngal ke svar-sandhan ke dvara sarthak hua hai. 'jyotsna' men roopak ke rng men dhalakar jis manav-kalyanakamana ko yojanabaddh kiya gaya hai, usaka pratham unmesh 'gunjan' ki gitiyon men hi milega. 'pallav' kal ki kalpana-prachurata hamen keval ek rachana 'apsari' men milati hai, jisamen kavindr ravindr ki 'urvashi' ki chhaya spasht hai parntu jisamen ek bhinn koti ki mayavini manasi ko moorttiman kiya gaya hai, jo adimakal se manushy़ ki saundary-chetana ko ukasati rahi hai. manav ne apane charon or jo kalpana, rahasy aur saundary ka chhaya-jagat bichhaya hai, vah isi chhaya-moorti ki den hai. isilie rachana ke samapan par kavi kahata hai-

"jag ke sukh-dukh, pap-tap, trishna-jvala se hin.
jara-janm-bhay-maran-shuny, yauvanamiy, nityanavin.
atal vishv-shobha-varidhi men, majjit jivan-min.
tum adrishy apsari, nij sukh men tallin".

parntu yahan kavi indrajali kalpana se niche utar kar aise snyat bhav-chitron ko hi chunata hai, jo hamare chir parichit ayamon se bhinn nahin hain.

shreshthatam rachanaen

'gunjan' ki shreshthatam rachanaen hain- 'naukavihar', 'ek tara', 'adhuban', 'bhavi patni ke prati' aur 'chandani'. in rachanaon men kavi ki atmik tallinata prakritik saundary tatha roopatmak snketon ke bhitar se naya rasabodh jagrat karane men saphal huee hai. virat, vishrrikhalit aur kshipragati se badalate hue upamanon ke sthan par snyat kalpana chitr aur amoorttavidhan hamen barabar ashvast rakhate hain, kinchinmatr bhi jhakajhorate nahin. is rachana men pnt ka kavy abhijaty ki ek sidhi aur chadh gaya hai. usaka atmaniyntran ashchary janak hain. bhavanaon ki badh jaise utar gayi ho aur tarun kavi naye sharadakash ke ujjval vaibhav ko ardhy-dan de raha ho. 'chandani' par do rachanaen hain aur use ham kavi ki sampratik chetana ka bahy pratik kah sakate hain.

'gunjan' men kavi ka prakriti-kavy adhik prakritik ho gaya hai. usamen varny vishay khulata hai, upamaon ki jhadi men mund nahin jata. prakriti ki sahaj, prasann, shant chitrapati 'gunjan' men milegi kyonki vahi kavi ke naye bhavaparivarttan ke anukool hai. madhumas par likhi huee kuchh rachanaon men varn ki chatulata bhi hai. parntu vah kridamatr n hokar yauvan ki antarik sampannata ki hi dyotak hai. is snkalan ki doosari visheshata milan-sukh aur premollas sambandhi kuchh gitiyan hai, jo sambhog-shrringar ke ritikalin svaroop se bhinn nayi bhavamadhuri se otaprot hain. ye rachanaen kavi ka man:kalp hi kahi ja sakati hain. in akankshamadhur rachanaon men jis nari-moorti ka ahvan hai, vah 'bhavi patni ke prati' aur 'roopatara, tum poorn prakam' rachanaon men pushpit hua hai. 'gunjan' ki ye kavitaen kavi ke 'uchchhvas', 'ansoo' prabhooti vipralambh kavy ki poorak hain. sambhavat: pichhali rachanaon se adhik sahaj hone ke karan ye lokapriy bhi adhik hain. 'gunjan' ki tisari disha kavi ka darshanik chintan hai jo vedanti hokar bhi svanubhoot saty ke prakash se jyotirman hai.

atmasadhana sadhana prakriti-saundary se age badhakar manav-saundary tak pahunchati hai. isamen jivan ke anand, ullas, sahaj snvedan tatha madhury ka prakash bhara gaya hai. sab kuchh jaise jadoo ki chhadi se sundar aur sarthak ban gaya hai. is sundarata ka kendr manav hai, jo prakriti ke anand, ullas aur saundary ka mool uts hai. isi manav ko pnt ne apani mngal-kamana samarpit ki hai. yah thik hai ki 'gunjan' ki mngal-kamana arnirdisht hai, usamen kisi prakar ka tntr ya 'vad' darshit nahin hota, parntu kavi ke sahaj, saumy, prasannacheta vyaktitav ke madhyam se prakriti aur manav ke samast sundar aur shobhan ayamon ka snkalan svat: ho jata hai.
