sayan ka kathan hai ki 'sav' eeshvar (svami) ki tarah abhishikt hone ka vachak hai. 'brihaspatisav' mean niyojy hota ka vaishishty hai usaka khalvat (paristraji) hona aur bar-bar aankhoan ka unmilan aur nimilan karana. 'dashahotr' sanjnak homoan ka vidhan bhi taittiriy-brahman ka vaishishty hai. dvitiy kand ke chaturth prapathak mean katipay upahom bhi vihit haian, jo shraut ke sath hi smart krity bhi haian. isi kand ke shashth prapathak mean kaukili-sautramani ka vidhan bhi ullikhit hai. yah pashuyag hai, jisamean paanch pashu vihit haian- inhian ki 'sautramani' akhya hai. is yag mean taukm (vrihi), masar (bhune hue yav ka dadhimishrit mahin choorn), nagn (matthamishrit yav ka mota choorn) ke sath sura ke sansarjan ki vidhi bhi isamean vihit hai. nakshatreshtiyoan ke sandarbh mean devataoan ke roop mean taittiriy-brahman mean amba, dula, nitatni, shrayanti, meghayanti varshayanti aur chupunika ke nam aye hai.

taittiriy-brahman ka sarvadhik prasiddh akhyan maharshi bharadvaj se sambaddh hai, jo tritiy kand ke 10vean prapathak mean aya hai. isamean vedoan ke ananty ananta vai veda:[14] ka pratipadan hai. param tattv ke vivechan ki akhyayika[15] is brahman ko upanishadoan ke jnan-gaurav se vibhooshit karati hai. isake kuchh aansh is prakar haian- arun ke putr atyanh ke kisi brahmachari se dayyapati plaksh ne poochha-
'savitragni kisamean pratishthit hai'?
-'rajogun se pare.
usase pare kya hai?'
-'rajogun se pare drishyaman mandalatma hai'.
'yah agni kisamean pratishthit hai?'
-'saty mean'.
nachiketa ke akhyan ke sath hi prahlad aur agasty vishayak akhyayikaean bhi ullikhit haian. sita-savitri ki pranayakhyayika, ushash ke dvara priy ki prapti ke akhyan isaki rochakata mean abhivriddhi karate haian. srishti, yajn aur nakshatr-vishayak akhyan to pushkal pariman mean haian. devavishayak akhyanoan se devashastr ke vikas par achchha prakash p data hai.

srishti prakriya-srishti

prakriya ki drishti se taittiriy-brahman ke dvitiy kand (prapathak 2) mean sarvadhik samagri hai. rrigvediy-nasadiyasookt ka vishesh prabhav parilakshit hota hai. srishti se pahale kisi bhi vastu ki satta nahian mani gee hai. anabhivyakt namaroop (asath) ne hi yah ichchha ki ki maian sataroop mean ho jauan-
tadasadev sanmanoakurut syamiti.
usane tap kiya, jisase dhoom, agni, jyoti, archi, marichi, udar aur abhr ki kramash: srishti huee. strashta ki basti (mootrashay) ke bhedan se samudr utpann hua- isi karan samudr ka jal aj bhi apey samajha jata hai. tadanantar sab kuchh jalamay ho gaya. is par prajapati ko rulaee a gee ki jab maian kuchh bhi nahian kar sakata, kuchh bhi nahian rach sakata to meri utpatti hi kyoan huee? prajapati ke isi ashrujal ke samudr mean girane se prithvi bani. kalantar se antariksh aur dyulok bane. prajapati ke jaghanabhag se asuroan ki srishti huee. pun: prajapati ne tapasya ki, jisase manushyoan, devoan aur rrituoan ki srishti huee. is prakriya mean man ka yogadan sarvadhik raha-

sankalpit arth vala yah man hi shvovasy namak brahm hai-

srishti ki suraksha prakritik niyamoan ki sanraksha par nirbhar hai. inhean 'rrit' kaha gaya hai, jisaka atikraman koee bhi vastu nahian kar sakati. bhoomi aur samudr sabhi us par hi avalambit hai-
rritamev parameshthi. rritan natyeti kinchanh. rrite samudr ahit:. rrite bhoomiriyan shrita.[18]

achar-darshan

taittiriy-brahman ke anusar manushy ka acharan devoan ke saman hona chahie-'iti deva akurvath. ityu vai manushya: kurvate.'[19] saty-bhashan, vani ki mithas, tapomay jivan, atithi-satkar, sangathanashilata, sampatti ke paropakar-hetu viniyog, maans-bhakshan se door rahane tatha brahmachary ke palan par vishesh bal diya gaya hai. inake anushthan mean pramad ya aparadh karane par nishkapat bhav se prayashchitt ka vidhan hai. ahitagni vyakti ko kadapi asaty nahian bolana chahie, kyoanki tejomayata saty mean hi hai-'ahitagni: n anritan vadeth.' ugr vani bhookh aur pyas ki hetu hone ke karan mahapatak ke sadrish hai-'ashanayapipase h va ugran vach:.'[20] rrit aur saty ek hai-'tadritan tatsatyamh'[21] tatha 'rritan satyeadhayi satyamriteadhayi'.[22] saty vah hai, jo netroan se dekhakar bola jaye, kyoanki vani jhooth bol jati hai aur man mithya ka dhyan karane lag jata hai. isalie chakshu hi vishvasaniy hai. vyakti ko nirantar asaty se saty ki or badhane ka prayatn karana chahie, kyoanki vah manushyatv se devatv ki or agrasar hone ka dyotak hai-

shraddha bhi vishisht jivan-mooly ke roop mean ullikhit hai. lok ki pratishtha shraddha se hi hai. amrit ka dohan karati huee shraddha kamana ki bachheri hai. vah sansar ki palika hai-
shraddhaya devo devatvamashnute. kamavatasamrit duhana. shraddha devi prathamaja rritasyh. vishvasy bhartri jagat: pratishtha. taan shraddhaan havisha yajamahe[25]
taittiriy-brahman ke anusar ahitagni vyakti ko n to maansabhakshan karana chahie aur n stri-gaman hi karana chahie.[26] jis sampatti se yajnadi paropakar aur sarvajanin krityoan ka anushthan hota rahata hai, dan-puny hote rahate haian, usaka kadapi vinash nahian hota. n to use shatru le jate haian aur n shatru kshati pahuanchate haian-

taittiriy-brahman ke anusar manushy ka man hi sarvochch prajapati hai. sabhi kriyaean usi se sampann hoti haian, atev man ki shuddhi param avashyak hai-'man iv hi prajapati:'[29] tatha 'yen pootastarati dushkritani'[30] man ki shuddhi ke sandarbh mean bahuvidh kamanaoan ka parityag bhi avashyak hai, kyoanki ve samudr ke saman apar hai-'samudr iv hi kam:. naiv hi kamasyantoasti' is prakar taittiriy-brahman mean manushy ke chaturdikh abhyutthan aur udatt-drishti se jivan-path par arohan ke nimitt atyant prashast achar-darshan ki prastuti dikhalaee deti hai.
