dhyan bharatiy darshan men snsar se mukti[1] ki or le jane vala ek chintan hai. yah chetan man ki ek prakriya hai, jisake dvara vyakti svayn ki chetana bahy jagath ke kisi chune hue sthal-vishesh par kendrit karata hai. dhyan se jivan men divyata ati hai, aur jab vyakti is divyata ka anubhav kar leta hai, to sari srishti use sundar pratit hone lagati hai. dhyan se vyakti jivan ki samast buraiyon se oopar uth jata hai aur is snsar ko sundar banane ke kary men snlagn ho jata hai.

mahattv

dhyan ka manav jivan men bada hi mahattv hai. dhyan vyakti ko aise kam ki or le jane se rokata hai, jisase ki use nicha dekhana pade. jab bhi aur jahan bhi mauqa mile, dhyan karana chahie. gnga kinare ya parvaton ki shrinkhalaon men lagaya gaya dhyan adhik phal deta hai. aisi pavitr jagahon men kiya hua koee bhi kary kee guna hokar phalit hota hai. jis prakar se pahadon aur ghatiyon men avaz dene par usaki pratidhvani sunaee deti hai, usi tarah pavitr sthanon par kiya hua koee bhi karm isi tarah se pratiphalit hota hai. chahe vah bura ho ya achchha ho, vah vapas avashy milata hai.

upasana ka sadhan

sakar aur nirakar donon hi ki upasanaon men dhyan sabase avashyak aur mahattvapoorn sadhan hai. shribhagavan ne gita men dhyan ki badi mahima gayi hai. jahan–kahin unaka uchchatam upadesh hai, vahin unhonne man ko apane men (bhagavan men) pravesh kara dene ke liye arjun ke prati agya ki hai. yogashastr men to dhyan ka sthan bahut ooncha hai hi. dhyan ke prakar bahut se hain sadhak ko apani ruchi, bhavana aur adhikar ke anusar tatha abhyas ki sugamata dekhakar kisi bhi ek svaroop ka dhyan karana chahiye. yah smaran rakhana chahiye ki nigu‍rn–nirakar aur sagun–sakar bhagavan vastav men ek hi hain. ek hi paramatma ke anek divy prakashamay svaroop hai.

abhyas mudra

shrimadbhagavadagita ke chhathe adhyay ke gyarahaven se terahaven shlok tak ke varnan ke anusar ekant, pavitr aur sattvik sthan men siddh svastik, padmasan ya any kisi sukh–sadhy asan se baithakar nind ka dar n ho, to ankhen moondakar, nahin to ankhon ko bhagavan ki moorti par lagakar athava ankhon ki drishti ko nasika ke agr bhag par jamakar pratidin kam–se–kam tin ghnte, do ghnte ya ek ghnta, jitana bhi samay mil sake, savadhani ke sath lay, vikshep, kashay, rasasvad, alasy, pramad, dambh adi doshon se bachakar shraddha–bhaktipoorvak tatparata ke sath dhyan ka abhyas karana chahiye. dhyan ke samay sharir, mastak aur gala sidha rahe aur ridh ki haddi bhi sidhi rahani chahiye. dhyan ke liye samay aur sthan bhi sunishchit hi hona chahiye.
