'brahm puran' ganana ki drishti se sarvapratham gina jata hai. parantu isaka tatpary yah nahian hai ki yah prachinatam hai. kal ki drishti se isaki rachana bahut bad mean huee hai. is puran mean sakar brahm ki upasana ka vidhan hai. isamean 'brahm' ko sarvopari mana gaya hai. isilie is puran ko pratham sthan diya gaya hai. karmakand ke badh jane se jo vikritiyaan tatkalin samaj mean phail gee thian, unaka vistrit varnan bhi is puran mean milata hai. yah samast vishv brahm ki ichchha ka hi parinam hai. isilie usaki pooja sarvapratham ki jati hai.

puranoan mean pratham

vedavetta mahatma vyasaji ne sampoorn lokoan ke hit ke liye pahale brahm puran ka sankalan kiya. vah sab puranoan mean pratham aur dharm, arth, kam evan moksh denevala hai. usamean nana prakar ke akhyan aur itihas haian. usaki shlok-sankhya das hazar batayi jati hai. munishvar! usamean devataoan, asuroan aur daksh adi prajapatiyoan ki utpatti kahi gayi hai. tadanantar usamean lokeshvar bhagavan soory ke punyamay vansh ka varnan kiya gaya hai, jo mahapatakoan ka nash karane vala hai. usi vansh mean paramanandasvaroop tatha chaturvyoohavatari bhagavan shriramachandr ji ke avatar ki katha kahi gayi hai. tadanantar us puran mean chandravansh ka varnan aya hai aur jagadishvar shrikrishna ke papanashak charitr ka bhi varnan kiya gaya hai. sampoorn dvipoan, samast varshoan tatha patal aur svargalok ka varnan bhi us puran mean dekha jata hai. narakoan ka varnan, sooryadev ki stuti aur katha evan parvatiji ke janm tatha vivah ka pratipadan kiya gaya hai. tadanantar daksh prajapati ki katha aur ekamnakakshetr ka varnan hai.

narad! is prakar is brahm puran ke poorv bhag ka niroopan kiya gaya hai. isake uttar bhag mean tirthayatra-vidhipoorvak purushottam kshetr ka vistar ke sath varnan kiya gaya hai. isi mean shrikrishnacharitr ka vistarapoorvak ullekh hua hai. yamalok ka varnan tatha pitaroan ke shraddh ki vidhi hai. is uttar bhag mean hi varnoan aur ashramoan ke dharmoan ka vistarapoorvak niroopan kiya gaya hai. vaishnav-dharm ka pratipadan, yugoan ka niroopan tatha pralay ka bhi varnan aya hai. yogoan ka niroopan, saankhyasiddhantoan ka pratipadan, brahmavad ka digdarshan tatha puran ki prashansa adi vishay aye haian. is prakar do bhagoan se yukt brahm puran ka varnan kiya gaya hai, jo sab papoan ka nashak aur sab prakar ke sukh dene vala hai. isamean soot aur shaunak ka sanvad hai. yah puran bhog aur moksh dene vala hai. jo is puran ko likhakar vaishakh ki poornima ko ann, vastr aur abhooshanoan dvara pauranik brahman ki pooja karake use suvarn aur jaladhenusahit is likhe hue puran ka bhaktipoorvak dan karata hai, vah chandrama, soory aur taroan ki sthitikal tak brahmalok mean vas karata hai. brahman! jo brahm puran ki is anukramanika (vishay-soochi) ka path athava shravan karata hai, vah bhi samast puran ke path aur shravan ka phal pa leta hai. jo apani indriyoan ko vash mean karake havishyann bhojan karate hue niyamapoorvak samooche brahm puran ka shravan karata hai, vah brahmapad ko prapt hota hai. vats! is vishay mean adhik kahane se kya labh? is puran ke kirtan se manushy jo-jo chahata hai, vah sab pa leta hai. soory

is jagath ka pratyaksh jivanadata aur kartta-dhartta 'soory' ko mana gaya hai. isalie sarvapratham soory narayan ki upasana is puran mean ki gee hai. soory vansh ka varnan bhi is puran mean vistar se hai. soory bhagavan ki upasana-mahima isaka pramukh pratipady vishay hai.

chaudah hazar shlok

sampoorn 'brahm puran' mean do sau chhiyalis adhyay haian. isaki shlok sankhya lagabhag chaudah hazar hai. is puran ki katha lomaharshan soot ji evan shaunak rrishiyoan ke sanvad ke madhyam se varnit hai. 'soory vansh' ke varnan ke uparant 'chandr vansh' ka vistar se varnan hai. isamean shrikrishna ke alaukik charitr ka vishesh mahattv darshaya gaya hai. yahian par jamboo dvip tatha any dvipoan ke varnan ke sath-sath bharatavarsh ki mahima ka vivaran bhi prapt hota hai. bharatavarsh ke varnan mean bharat ke mahattvapoorn tirthoan ka ullekh bhi is puran mean kiya gaya hai. isamean 'shiv-parvati' akhyan aur 'shri krishna charitr' ka varnan bhi vistarapoorvak hai. 'varah avatar ','nrisianh avatar' evan 'vaman avatar' adi avataroan ka varnan sthan-sthan par kiya gaya hai.

konark

sooryadev ka pramukh mandir u disa ke konark sthan par hai. usaka parichay bhi is puran mean diya gaya hai. us mandir ke bare mean puranakar likhata hai-"bharatavarsh mean dakshin sagar ke nikat 'audr desh' (u disa) hai, jo svarg aur moksh- donoan ko pradan karane vala hai. vah samast gunoan se yukt pavitr desh hai. us desh mean utpann hone vale brahman sadaiv vandaniy haian. usi pradesh mean 'konadity' namak bhagavan soory ka ek bhavy mandir sthit hai. isamean soory bhagavan ke darshan karake manushy sabhi papoan se chhutakara pa jata hai. yah bhog aur moksh- donoan ko dene vala hai. magh shukl saptami ke din soory bhagavan ki upasana ka vishesh parv yahaan hota hai. ratri bit jane par prat:kal sagar mean snan karake dev, rrishi tatha manushyoan ko bhali-bhaanti tarpan karana chahie. navin shuddh vastr dharan kar poorv disha ki or muanh karake, tamrapatr athava ark patroan se bane done mean til, akshat, jaliy rakt chandan, lal pushp aur darpan rakhakar soory bhagavan ki pooja karean." tatkshanath sarvapapebhyo muchyate natr sanshay: ॥(brahm puran 21/19)

arthath jo prani apane mastak ko bhoomi par tekakar sooryadev ko namaskar karata hai, vah usi kshan samast papoan se chhutakara pa jata hai. isamean namamatr ko bhi sanshay nahian hai.

soory ki upasana sagar tat par Om namo narayan mantr ke jap dvara karani chahie. yah mantr samast manorathoan ki siddhi dene vala hai. sagar tirtharaj kahalata hai. jab tak usake mahattv ka varnan nahian kiya jata, tab tak any tirth apane mahattv ko lekar garjana karate rahate haian.

tavadh garjanti tirthani mahatmyai: svai: prithakh prithakh.

yavann tirtharajasy mahatmyan varnyate dvijai ॥ (brahm puran 29/16-17)

bharatavarsh

puranoan ki parampara ke anusar 'brahm puran' mean srishti ke samast lokoan aur bharatavarsh ka bhi varnan kiya gaya hai. kaliyug ka varnan bhi is puran mean vistar se upalabdh hai. 'brahm puran' mean jo kathaean di gee haian, ve any puranoan ki kathaoan se bhinn haian. jaise 'shiv-parvati' vivah ki varnan any puranoan se bhinn hai. is katha mean dikhaya gaya hai ki shiv svayan vikrit roop mean parvati ke pas jakar vivah ka prastav karate haian. vivah pakka ho jane par jab shiv barat lekar jate haian to parvati ki god mean paanch mukh vala ek balak khelata dikhaya jata hai. indr krodhit hokar use marane ke lie apana vajr uthate haian, parantu unaka hath utha ka utha rah jata hai. tab brahma dvara shiv ki stuti karane par indr ka hath thik hota hai. vivah sampann hota hai. lekin any kathaoan mean parvati svayan tapasya karake shiv ki svikriti prapt karati haian. yahaan paanch mukh vale balak se tatpary paanch tattvoan se hai. parvati svayan adya shakti ki pratik haian. shiv bhi svayan panchamukhi haian. unaka hi bal roop parvati ki god mean sthit dikhaya gaya hai. Parashurama]] isi prakar gangavataran ki katha bhi kuchh alag hai. isamean gautam rrishi apane ashram mean moorchchhit gay ko chaitany karane ke lie shiv ki stuti karake ganga ko shiv ki jataoan se mukt karake late haian. tabhi ganga ko 'gautami' bhi kaha jata hai.

'brahm puran' mean paramparagat tirthoan ke atirikt kuchh aise tirthoan ka bhi varnan hai, jinaka sthan khoj pana atyant kathin hai. udaharanarth kapot tirth, paishach tirth, kshudha tirth, chakr tirth, ganima sangam tirth, ahalya sangamendr tirth, shvet tirth, vriddha sangam tirth, rrin pramochan tirth, sarasvati sangam tirth, revati sangam tirth, ram tirth, putr tirth, khadg tirth, anand tirth, kapila sangam tirth adi . ye sabhi tirth gautam rrishi se sambandhit haian.

vichitr kathaaian

jis prakar jal mean sancharan karane vala pakshi jal mean lipt nahian hota, usi prakar atmayogi vyakti sansar mean samast karm karate hue bhi videharaj janak ki bhaanti karm mean lipt nahian hota. bhagavan vishnu ke shrikrishna avatar ke sath sath is puran mean vishnu ke dattatrey, parashuram aur shriram ke avataroan ki katha bhi prapt hoti hai. sanbhal mean hone vale kalki avatar ka bhi ullekh is puran mean hai. isake atirikt shraddh, pitrikalp, vidya-avidya adi ka varnan bhi is puran mean prapt hota haian is puran mean jitane vistar se gautami nadi ki mahima ka varnan hua hai, vaisa kisi any puran mean upalabdh nahian hota. lagabhag adha puran gomati nadi ya godavari nadi ki pavitrata, divyata aur mahatta adi se bhara p da hai. ganga ko hi uttar mean 'bhagirathi' aur dakshin mean 'godavari' arthath 'gautami ganga' ke nam se pukara jata hai.

godavari ke udgam se lekar sagar mean girane tak ke marg mean tatavarti tirthoan ka b da hi manohari, chitramay aur kavyamay chitran is puran mean kiya gaya hai. un tirthoan ke sath-sath rochak kathaean bhi ju di huee haian, jaise- kapot-vyadh akhyan, aanjana-kesari aur hanuman ka akhyan, dadhichi akhyan,sarama-pani akhyan, nagamata kadroo evan garu d mata vinata ki katha adi. 'brahm puran' ke tirthoan ka mukhy uddeshy gautami ganga ke mahattv ka pratipadan karana hi pratit hota hai.
