'tab vah balak ko bhootoan ko de deta haian, arthath bhautik tattvoan mean niyojit kar deta hai. guru shiksha deta hai 'jal pio, kam karo (guru ke ghar mean), agni mean samidha dalo, (din mean) n soo.' vah savitri mantr duharata hai. pahale bachche ke ane ke ek varsh uparant savitri ka path hota tha, phir 6 masoan, 24 dinoan, 12 dinoan, 3 dinoan ke uparant. kintu brahman bachche ke lie upanayan ke din hi path kiya jata tha, pahale pratyek pad alag-alag phir adha aur tab poora mantr duharaya jata tha. brahmachari ho jane par madhu khana varjit ho jata tha.[20]

brahmachary ashram

  • apastambadharmasootr[69] ke anusar brahman, kshatriy evan vaishy brahmachari ke lie vastr kram se patua ke soot ka, sanh ke soot ka evan mrigacharm ka hota tha.
  • kuchh dharmashastrakaroan ke mat se adhobhag ka vastr rooee ke soot ka (brahmanoan ke lie lal rang, kshatriyoan ke lie majith rang evan vaishyoan ke lie haldi rang) hona chahiean vastr ke vishay mean bahut matabhed haian.[70]
  • apastambadharmasootr[71] ne sabhi varnoan ke lie bhe d ka charm (uttariy ke lie) ya kambal vikalp roop se svikar kar liya hai.
  • adhobhag ya oopari bhag ke paridhan ke vishay mean brahman-granthoan mean bhi sanket milata hai.[72] jo vaidik jnan badhana chahe usake adhovastr evan uttariy mrigacharm ke, jo sainik shakti chahe usake lie rooee ka vastr aur jo donoan chahe vah donoan prakar ke vastroan ka upayog kare.[73]

dand kis vriksh ka banaya jay, is vishay mean bhi bahut matabhed raha hai. ashvalayanagrihyasootr[74] ke mat se brahman, kshatriy evan vaishy ke lie kram se palash, udumbar evan bilv ka dand hona chahie, ya koee bhi varn unamean se kisi ek ka dand bana sakata hai. apastambagrihy sootr[75] ke anusar brahman kshatriy evan vaishy ke lie kram se palash nyagrodh ki shakha (jisaka nichala bhag dand ka oopari bhag mana jay) evan badar ya udumbar ka dand hona chahie. yahi bat apastambadharmasootr[76] mean bhi payi jati hai. isi prakar bahut se mat haian jinaka udghatan anavashyak hai.[77] poorvakal mean sahare ke lie, achary ke pashuoan ko niyantran mean rakhane ke lie, ratri mean jane par suraksha ke lie evan nadi mean pravesh karate samay pathapradarshan ke lie dand ki avashyakata p dati thi.[78]

gautam[92], ashvalayanagrihyasootr[93], baudhayanagrihyasootr[94], manu[95], kathakagrihyasootr[96], bharadvajagrihasootr[97] tatha any logoan ke mat se brahman, kshatriy evan vaishy bachche ke lie kram se munj, moorva (jisase pratyancha banati hai) evan patua ki mekhala (karadhani) honi chahie. manu[98] ne paraskaragrihyasootr evan apastambadharmasootr[99] [100] ki bhaanti hi niyam kahe haian kintu vikalp se kaha hai ki kshatriyoan ke lie mooanj tatha loh se guanthi huee ho sakati hai tatha vaishyoan ke lie soot ka dhaga ya jue ki rassi ya tamal (san) ki chhal ka dhaga ho sakata hai. baudhayanagrihyasootr[101] ne mooanj ki mekhala sabake lie many kahi hai. mekhala mean kitani gaanthe honi chahie, yah praveroan ki sankhya par nirbhar hai.
