jnan (prama) kya hai? jnan aur ajnan (aprama) mean kya bhed hai? jnan ke sadhan athava nishchayak ghatak kaun haian? in aur isi prakar ke kee any prashnoan ke uttar mean hi jnan ke svaroop ka kuchh parichay prapt kiya ja sakata hai. jnan apane ap mean vastut: ek nirapeksh saty hai, kintu jab usako paribhashit karane ka prayas kiya jata hai to vah vishleshak ki apani simaoan ke karan grahyavastha mean sapeksh saty ki paridhi mean a jata hai. phir bhi bharatiy manyataoan ke anusar kanad adi rrishi saty ke sakshat drashta haian. at: unhoanne jo kaha, vah pray: jnan ka nirapeksh vishleshan hi mana jata hai.

maharshi kanad ne jnan ki koee sidhi paribhasha nahian bataee. nyayasootr mean akshapad gautam ne jnan ko buddhi aur upalabdhi ka paryayavachi mana.[1] prashastapad ne jnan ke in paryayoan mean 'pratyay' shabd ko bhi jo da.[2] aisa pratit hota hai ki gautam, kanad aur prashastapad ke samay tak jnan ke sthan par buddhi shabd ka prayog hota tha. shivadity ne bhi atmashray prakash ko buddhi kaha hai.[3] at: nyay-vaisheshik mean buddhi ka jo vishleshan kiya gaya hai, usi ko jnan ka vishleshan man lena anupayukt nahian hoga. jnan ko hi shabdantar se prama aur vidya bhi kaha jata hai. vaisheshik mean jnata (atma), jnan aur jney ko prithakh-prithakh mana gaya hai. mimaansakoan ke anusar jnan atma ka karm hai. kintu nyay-vaisheshik ke anusar jnan atma ka gun hai. advait vedant mean jnan ya chaitany ko atma ka gun nahian, apitu svaroop ya svabhav mana gaya ho, kintu nyayavaisheshikoan ke anusar jnan atma ka svabhav nahian apitu agantuk gun hai. saankhy mean buddhi aur jnan ko alag-alag manate hue yah kaha gaya hai ki buddhi (mahattv) prakriti ka kary hai aur jnan usaka sadhan. kuchh pashchatty manishiyoan ne jnan ko man aur vishay ke bich ka ek sambandh bataya hai, par, jaisa ki pahale bhi kaha gaya, vaisheshik jnan ko atma ka gun manate haian, sambandh nahian. vishvanath panchanan ne bhi buddhi ke do bhed anubhooti aur smriti man kar anubhooti ke antargat pramanoan ka niroopan kiya. annanbhatt ne vaisheshikoan ke chintan ka sar sa prastut karate hue yah kaha ki-samast vyavahar ke hetubhoot gun ko buddhi ya jnan kahate haian.[4] buddhi ya jnan ya prama ka nishchay pramanoan ke dvara sampann hota hai.

praman ka svaroop

vyutpatti ki drishti se praman shabd pr upasargapoorvak manh dhatu se karan mean lyuth pratyay jo dane nishpann hota hai, jisaka arth hai- prama ka karanan praman ki paribhasha vibhinn darshanoan ke acharyoan ne vibhinn roop se ki hai. sautrantik tatha vaibhashik bauddhoan ne yah kaha ki praman vah hai, jisase samyak jnan ho. nagarjun praman ki satta nahian manate. dinnag ki parampara mean dharmakirti ne yah bataya ki vivakshit arth ko batane vala samyakh tatha avisanvadi jnan praman hai. jain parampara mean akalank ke anusar poorv anadhigat, vyavasayatmak samyakh jnan tatha hemachandr ke anusar poorvadhigat samyak jnan bhi praman hai. saankhy sootrakar yah manate haian ki asannikrisht arth ka nishchay karana prama hai aur usake sadhakatam karan praman haian. bhatt mimaansak agrihit arth ke jnan ko aur prabhakar anubhooti ko praman manate haian. vedant mean agrihitagrahitv ko praman ka mukhy adhar mana gaya hai.

nyayaparampara mean prachalit mantavyoan ka samahar karake praman ki vyapak paribhasha dete hue jayantabhatt yah kahate haian ki- 'vah samagri-sakaly hi praman hai, jo avyabhichari tatha asandigdh jnan ka janak ho aur jisamean jnan ke bodh aur abodhasvaroop samagr karanoan ka samavesh ho'.[5] achary kanad ne praman ke lie dosharahity avashyak bataya.[6] vallabhachary ne bhi saty jnan ko vidya kaha hai.[7] shridhar ne adhyavasay shabd ko bhi praman ki paribhasha mean jo da.[8] shankar mishr ne upaskar mean yah kaha ki praman vah hai jo jnan ka utpadak ho.[9]

praman ke bhed

vaisheshik darshan mean praman ke do hi bhed mane gaye haian- pratyaksh aur anuman. nyayaparampara mean pravartit any do pramanoan- upaman aur shabd- ka vaisheshikoan ne anuman mean hi antarbhav kiya hai. nyayaparampara mean bhi bhasarvajn (10vian shati) ne upaman ko prithakh praman nahian mana aur nyay ke shesh sab padarthoan ka vivechan bhi shesh tin pramanoan ke antargat kar diya.

pratyaksh ka svaroop aur bhed

indriyarthasannikarshajany jnan ki pratyakshata ka sanket vaisheshik sootr mean bhi upalabdh hai.[10] prashastapad ke kathanoan ka bhi yah sar hai ki pratyaksh shabd jnan samany ka vachak hai. pratyaksh ke do bhedoan ki or sanket karate hue prashastapad yah kahate haian ki pratyaksh mean vishay ka alochanamatr hota hai. unhoanne ek vaikalpik paribhasha yah bhi di hai ki atma, man, indriy aur vastuoan ke sannikarsh se utpann nirdosh tatha shabd dvara anuchcharit avyapadeshy jo jnan ho, vah pratyaksh kahalata hai. 'yah go hai'- aisa sunane par jo jnan hota hai, vah shabd ki atishayata hai, chakshu ki nahian. chakshu usamean gaun roop se sahayak hai. prashastapad ke in kathanoan mean pratyaksh ke savikalpak aur nirvikalpak in donoan bhedoan ke samany aur vishisht lakshanoan ka bhi samavesh ho gaya hai.[11] shridhar bhi pratyaksh ki 'akshamakshan pratity ya buddhirutpadyate tatpratyakshan pramanamh'- aisi paribhasha karate haian. akshashabd mean yahaan dhran, rasana, chakshu, tvakh, shrotr aur man inaka samahar hota hai, karmendriyoan ka nahian. pratyaksh jnan keval dravy, gun, karm aur samany ka hi hota hai, vishesh aur samavay ka nahian.[12] maharshi kanad aur maharshi gautam donoan ne hi indriyarthasannikarsh ko pratyaksh praman mana, kintu unhoanne isake nirvikalpak aur savikalpak in do bhedoan ka ullekh nahian kiya hai. bhashyakar prashastapad ne donoan ka saanketik ullekh kiya aur unaki paribhashaean bhi bataeean.

yah jnatavy hai ki nyayasootrakar dvara prayukt 'avyapadeshyamh' au 'vyavasayatmakamh' in do lakshan ghatakoan ke adhar par vachaspati mishr ne pratyaksh ke savikalpak aur nirvikalpak in do bhedoan ka spasht pravartan kiya. bauddhoan ke vichar mean nirvikalpak hi pratyaksh hai, jabaki vaiyakaran savikalpak ko hi pratyaksh manate haian. advait vedant ke anusar nirvikalpak shuddh sat ka grahan karata hai aur savikalpak gun karm adi se yukt sath ka. dharmarajadhvarindr ka yah kathan hai ki nirvikalpak sansarganavagahi jnan hai aur savikalpak vaishishtayavagahi jnan[13] nyay vaisheshik yah kahate haian ki pratyaksh ke in donoan bhedoan mean atma to ek hi hai, kintu avasthabhed ke karan namabhed hai. nirvikalpak pratham sopan hai aur savikalpak dvitiy.
nirvikalpak pratyaksh
prashastapad ke anusar nirvikalpak pratyaksh mean padarth ke samany aur vishisht gunoan ka sakshatkar to hota hai, kintu donoan ka bhed maloom nahian hota, isamean padarth ke svaroopamatr ka alochan hota hai. shridhar ke kathananusar bhi nirvikalpak pratyaksh vah hai jo svaroopamatr ke alochan se yukt ho.[14] vaiyakaran nirvikalpak pratyaksh ko pramanik nahian manate, kyoanki unake matanusar vah vyavaharik kriyakalap ke yogy nahian hota. kisi bhi padarth ka bodh usake nam ke sath hi hota hai. bina bhasha ke koee vichar nahian hota. kintu naiyayikoan aur vaisheshikoan ne vaiyakaranoan ke is mat ka khandan karate hue yah bataya ki gooange ko bhi padarthoan ka bodh hota hai. yadi roop aur nam ka tadatmy hota to andhe ko shrotr se roop ka grahan ho jata, par aisa nahian hota.
savikalpak pratyaksh
savikalpak pratyaksh mean sabhi dharm spasht roop se bhasit hote haian. jaise go ka nirvikalpak jnan hone ke anantar usake varn adi ka jo jnan hota hai, vah savikalpak kahalata hai. bauddh savikalpak ko jnan nahian manate, kyoanki unake mat mean vikalp kalpanajany aur bhrant hote haian. shridhar bauddhoan ke mat ka khandan karate hue yah kahate haian ki kambugrivadi roop ghat ki vilakshan pratiti, patadi padarthoan ki pratiti se vilakshan hoti hai, at: savikalpak pratyaksh pramanik hai. shivadity adi uttaravarti achary bhi prashastapad ke mat ka anuvarttan karate hue yah manate haian ki savikalpak se pahale nirvikalpak ki aur nirvikalpak ke anantar savikalpak ki satta manana yuktisangat hai.[15]

anuman ka svaroop aur bhed

'linamh parokshamh arthamh gamayati iti liangamh' vyutpatti ki drishti se liang ka arth hai paroksh jnan. vaisheshik sootrakar kanad yah kahate haian ki kary, karan, sanyogi, virodhi, evan samavayi adi ke adhar par, sambaddh liangi ka jo jnan hota hai vah laingik arthat anuman hai. kanad ne anuman ke lakshan mean hi is bat ka nirdesh kiya ki anuman

  5. samavay in paanch prakar ke hetuoan (apadeshoan) mean se, kisi ek se bhi kiya ja sakata hai.[16] vaisheshikoan ke mantavy ka sar yah hai ki anumiti ka karan liangajnan hai. kintu is sandarbh mean annanbhatt ka yah kathan bhi dhyan dene yogy hai ki liangajnan ko nahian, apitu liangaparamarsh ko anumiti ka karan mana jana chahie. kanad ne anuman ke bhedoan ka vivechan nahian kiya, kintu prashastapad ne yah bataya ki anuman ke

drisht anuman
jnat (prasiddh) aur sadhy mean jati ka atyant bhed n hone par arthat hetu ke sath pahale se hi jnat rahane vale sadhy, aur jis sadhy ki siddhi ki jati ho, usamean sajatiyata hone par jo anuman kiya jata hai, vah drisht anuman hai. jaise pahale kisi nagar sthit gay mean sasna ko dekhane ke bad anyatr van adi mean sasnavan prani ko dekha to anuman kiya ki vah go hai. jo vastu pahale liang ke sath dekhi jati hai vah prasiddh kahalati hai aur jo bad mean anumey ke roop mean dekhi jati hai, vah sadhy kahalati hai. yahaan prasiddh (jnat) go aur sadhy go mean jati ka bhed nahian hai. at: yah drisht anuman hai.
samanyatodrisht anuman
prasiddh (jnat) aur sadhy mean atyant jatibhed hone par bhi yadi unamean kisi samany ki anuvritti hoti ho to us anuvritti se jo anuman kiya jata hai, vah samanyatodrisht kahalata hai. jaise krishak, vyapari, rajapurush adi apane-apane karyoan mean pravritt hokar apane abhipret phal ko prapt karate haian. isase yah vidit hota hai ki pravritti, phalavati hoti hai aur liangasamany (phalavattv) ka svabhavik sambandh hai. koee varnashrami vyakti sandhyavandan prabhriti kisi dharmaparak kary mean pravritt hai to usase yah anuman lagaya jata hai ki is pravritti ka svargaprapti jaisa koee phal hai. kyoanki pravritti phalavati hoti hai. is prakar hetusamany aur phalasamany ki vyapti ke adhar par jo anuman kiya jata hai vah samanyatodrisht kahalata hai.

mimaansakadi pravartit any pramanoan ki antarbhootata

naiyayikoan ne pratyaksh, anuman, upaman aur shabd ye char praman mane haian. kintu vaisheshikoan ne shabd aur upaman ko prithakh-prithakh praman nahian mana. unhoanne upaman ko shabd mean tatha shabd ko anuman mean antarbhoot mana aur is prakar keval pratyaksh aur anuman ye do praman svikrit kiye. mimaansakapravartit anupalabdhi, arthapatti tatha pauranikoan adi dvara pravartit sambhav, aitihasik jaise pramanoan ka to nyay ke acharyoan ne hi khandan kar diya tha. at: unake pramanatv ke nirasan ki koee vishesh avashyakata vaisheshikoan ko pratit nahian huee. phir bhi shridhar ne nyayakandali mean inaka yuktipoorvak khandan kiya hai. annanbhatt ne tattv mimaansa ki drishti se vaisheshik nay ka anugaman karate hue bhi jnan mimaansa mean nyay ka anugaman kiya aur char praman mane. kintu annanbhatt ke vaisheshik nay ki pramanasambandhi is manyata par koee vishesh prabhav nahian p da ki praman do hi haian pratyaksh aur anuman.

sar aur samahar

naiyayikoan ke viparit praman ko ek svatantr padarth n manakar vaisheshikoan ne usako buddhi namak gun ke antargat samavisht kiya. prashastapad ne buddhi ke do bhed bataye- vidya aur avidya. vidya (prama) ke aantargat praman aur avidya (aprama) ke antargat sanshay, viparyay, anadhyavasay tatha svapn ka pariganan kiya. nyayasootr mean pariganit tark, sanshay adi ka bhi pray: anuman mean antarbhav karake vaisheshikoan ne unaka prithakh vishleshan nahian kiya. aprasiddh, asath aur sandigdh in tin ka hi hetvabhasoan ke roop mean pariganan kiya. is prakar jnanamimaansa sanbandhi katipay any sandarbhoan mean nyay-vaisheshik matoan mean bhinnata hai, phir bhi jnanamimaansa ke sandarbh mean unaka pramukh parthaky pramanoan ki sankhya par hi nirbhar mana jata hai.[17]
