shakt arthat 'bhagavati shakti ki upasana'. shakt dharm shakti ki sadhana ka vigyan hai. isake matavalnbi shakt dharm ko bhi prachin vaidik dharm ke barabar hi purana manate hain. yah bat ullekhaniy hai ki is dharm ka vikas vaidik dharm ke sath hi sath ya sanatan dharm men ise samaveshit karane ki zaroorat ke sath hi hua. yah hindoo dharm men pooja ka ek pramukh svaroop hai, jise ab 'hindoo dharm' kaha jata hai, use tin antahpravahit, parasparavyapi dharaon men vibhajit kiya ja sakata hai. vaishnavavad, bhagavan vishnu ki upasana; shaivavad, bhagavan shiv ki pooja; tatha shaktavad, devi ke shakti roop ki upasana. is prakar shaktavad dakshin eshiya men vibhinn devi paramparaon ko namit karane vala am shabd hai, jisaka samany kendr bindu deviyon ki pooja hai.

shakti ki pooja

shakti ke anuyayiyon ko aksar 'shakt' kaha jata hai. shakt n keval shakti ki pooja karate hain, balki usake shakti–avirbhav ko manav sharir evn jivit brahmand ki shakti ya oorja men snvardhit, niyntrit evn roopantarit karane ka prayas bhi karate hain. vishesh roop se mana jata hai ki shakti, kundalini[1] ke roop men manav sharir ke guda adhar tak sthit hoti hai. jatil dhyan evn yaun–yaugik anushthanon ke zariye yah kundalini shakti jagrit ki ja sakati hai. is avastha men yah sookshm sharir[2] ki sushumna se oopar ki or uthati hai. marg men kee chakron ko bhedati huee, jab tak sir ke shirsh men antim chakr men pravesh nahin karati aur vahan par apane pati-priyatam shiv ke sath harshonmadit hokar nahin milati. bhagavati evn bhagavan ke pauranik snyojan ka anubhav harshonmadi–rahasyatmak samadhi ke roop men manon–daihik roop se kiya jata hai, jisaka visphoti paramannd kaha jata hai ki kapal kshetr se umadakar harshonmad evn gahanannd ki badh ke roop men niche ki or poore sharir men bahata hai.

manyata

hinduon ke shakt sampraday men bhagavati durga ko hi duniya ki parashakti aur sarvochch devata mana jata hai[3] yah puran vastut: 'durga charitr' evn 'durga saptashati' ke varnan ke lie prasiddh hai. isilie ise shakt sampraday ka puran bhi kaha jata hai. shastron men kaha gaya hai- 'matar: sarvabhootanan gav:' yani gay samast praniyon ki mata hai. isi karan ary snskriti men panape shaiv, shakt, vaishnav, ganapaty, jain, bauddh, sikkh adi sabhi dharm-snpradayon men upasana evn karmakand ki paddhatiyon men bhinnata hone par bhi ve sab gau ke prati adar bhav rakhate hain. hindoo dharm ke anek sampradayon men vibhinn prakar ke tilak, chandan, haldi aur kesar yukt sugandhit padarthon ka prayog karake banaya jata hai. vaishnav golakar bindi, shakt tilak aur shaiv tripundr se apana mastak sushobhit karate hain.

dharm grnth

shakt sampraday men devi durga ke snbndh men 'shridurga bhagavat puran' ek pramukh grnth hai, jisamen 108 devi pithon ka varnan kiya gaya hai. unamen se bhi 51-52 shakti pithon ka bahut hi mahattvapoorn sthan hai. isi men durga saptashati bhi hai.

darshan

shakton ka yah manana hai ki duniya ki sarvochch shakti stren hai. isilie ve devi durga ko hi eeshvar roop men poojate hain. duniya ke sabhi dharmon men eeshvar ki jo kalpana ki gee hai, vah purush ke saman ki gee hai. arthat eeshvar purush jaisa ho sakata hai, kintu shakt dharm duniya ka ekamatr aisa dharm hai, jo srishti rachanakar ko janani ya stren manata hai. sahi mayane men yahi ekamatr dharm striyon ka dharm hai. shiv to shav hai, shakti param prakash hai. halanki shakt darshan ki sankhy saman hi hai.

prachinata

sindhu ghati sabhyata men bhi matridevi ki pooja ke praman milate hain. shakt sampraday prachin sampraday hai. gupt kal men yah uttar-poorvi bharat, kambodiya, java, borniya aur malaya pray:dvipon ke deshon men lokapriy tha. bauddh dharm ke prachalan ke bad isaka prabhav kam hua.

hindoo astha ka pratibimb

saiddhantik ya lokapriy dharmik pravarg ke roop men shaktavad is hindoo astha ka pratibimb hai ki gramin evn snskrit ki kinvadantiyon ki asnkhy deviyan ek mahadevi ki abhivyaktiyan hain. amataur par mana jata hai ki mahadevi ki avadharana prachin hai. lekin aitihasik roop se shayad isaka kalankan madhy kal ka hai. jab atyadhik visham sthaniy evn akhil bharatiy paramparaon ka ekikaran saiddhantik roop se ekikrit dharmashastr men kiya jata tha. dharmashastr pravarg ke aitihasik aur saiddhantik roop se bhinn paramparaon men prayukt kiya ja sakata hai. madhyakalin puranon ki vibhinn deviyon ki pauranik kathaon se lekar do pramukh devi shakhaon ya shakt tntravad kulon[4] se poorvavarti evn vartaman, vastutah asnkhy sthaniy gramin deviyon tak hai.

lokapriyata

aitihasik roop se shaktavad dakshin eshiya ke bahari ilaqe men lokapriy raha hai. vishesh roop se kashmir, dakshin bharat, asam aur bngal men, halanki isake tantrik pratik aur anushthan kam se kam chhathi shatabdi se hindoo paramparaon men sarvavyapi rahe hain. hal men paramparagat pravasi bharatiy janasnkhya ke sath, kuchh bharat vidya shaikshik samuday men aur vibhinn navayug evn narivadonmukhi paramparaon ke sath, samanyatah pashchim men zyada lokapriy shirshak tntravad ya tntr ke antargat paramparagat, darshanik evn lokapriy shaktavad ke vividh svaroopon ne pravesh kiya hai.

shakt snskriti

krishn kal men braj men shakt snskriti ka prabhav bahut badha. braj men mahamaya, mahavidya, karoli, sancholi adi vikhyat shaktipith hain. mathura ke raja kns ne vasudev dvara yashoda se utpann jis kanya ka vadh kiya tha, use bhagavan shrikrishn ki pranarakshika devi ke roop men pooja jata hai. devi shakti ki yah manyata braj se saurashtr tak phaili hai. dvaraka men bhagavan dvarakanath ke shikhar par charchit sindoori akarshak devi pratima ko krishn ki bhagini[5] batalaya gaya hai, jo shikhar par virajaman hokar sada inaki raksha karati hain. braj to tantrikon ka aj se 100 varsh poorv tak pramukh gadh tha. yahan ke tantrik bharat bhar men prasiddh rahe hain. kamavan bhi raja kamasen ke samay tntr vidya ka mukhy kendr tha, usake darabar men anek tantrik rahate the.

uddeshy

sabhi sampradayon ke saman hi shakt sampraday ka uddeshy bhi moksh hai. phir bhi shakti ka snchay karo, shakti ki upasana karo, shakti hi jivan hai, shakti hi dharm hai, shakti hi saty hai, shakti hi sarvatr vyapt hai aur shakti ki sabhi ko avashyakata hai. balavan bano, vir bano, nirbhay bano, svatntr bano aur shaktishali bano. isilie nath aur shakt sampraday ke sadhak shaktiman banane ke lie tarah-tarah ke yog aur sadhana karate rahate hain. siddhiyan prapt karate rahate hain. shakti se hi moksh paya ja sakata hai. shakti nahin hai to siddh, buddhi aur samriddhi ka koee matalab nahin hai.
