pyare uddhav! yadi tum kadachith karmoan ke karta aur sukh-duahkhoan ke bhokta jivoan ka anek tatha jagath, kal, ved aur atmaoan ko nity manate ho; sath hi samast padarthoan ki sthiti pravah se nity aur yatharth svikar karate ho tatha yah samajhate ho ki ghar-ghat adi bahy akritiyoan ke bhed se unake anusar jnan hi utpann hota aur badalata rahata hai; to aise mat ke manane se b da anarth ho jayaga. (kyoanki is prakar jagath ke karta atma ki nity satta aur janm-mrityu ke chakkar se mukti bhi siddh n ho sakegi.) yadi kadachith aisi svikar bhi kar liya jay to deh aur sanvatsaradi kalavayavoan ke sambandh se hone vali jivoan ki janm-maran adi avasthaean bhi nity hone ke karan door n ho sakeangi; kyoanki tum dehadi padarth aur kal ki nityata svikar karate ho. isake siva, yahaan bhi karmoan ka karta tatha sukh-duahkh ka bhokta jiv paratantr hi dikhayi deta hai; yadi vah svatantr ho to duahkh ka phal kyoan bhogana chahega ? is prakar sukh-bhog ki samasya sulajh jane par bhi duahkh-bhog ki samasya to ulajhi ho rahegi. atah is mat ke anusar jiv ko kabhi mukti ya svatantrata prapt n ho sakegi. ab jiv svaroopatah paratantr hai, vivash hai, tab to svarth ya paramarth koee bhi usaka sevan n karega. arthath vah svarth aur paramarth donoan se hi vanchit rah jayaga . (yadi yah kaha jay ki jo bhalibhaanti karm karana janate haian, ve sukhi rahate haian, aur jo nahian janate unhean duahkh bhogana p data hai to yah kahana bhi thik nahian; kyoanki) aisa dekha jata hai ki b de-b de karmakushal vidvanoan ko bhi kuchh sukh nahian milata aur moodhoan ka bhi kabhi duahkh se pala nahian p data. isaliye jo log apani buddhi ya karm se sukh pane ka ghamand karate haian, unaka vah abhiman vyarth hai . yadi vah svikar kar liya jay ki ve log sukh ki prapti aur duahkh ke nash ka thik-thak upay janate haian, to bhi yah to manana hi p dega ki unhean bhi aise upay ka pata nahian hai, jisase mrityu unake oopar koee prabhav n dal sake aur ve kabhi marean hi nahian . jab mrityu unake sir par nach rahi hai tab aisi kaun-si bhog-samagri ya bhog-kamana hai jo unhean sukhi kar sake ? bhala, jis manushy ko phaansi par latakane ke liye vadh sthan par le jaya ja raha hai, use kya phool-chandan-stri adi padarth santusht kar sakate haian ? kadapi nahian. (atah poorvokt mat manane valoan ki drishti se n sukh hi siddh hoga aur n jiv ka kuchh purusharth hi rahega) . pyare uddhav! laukik sukh ke saman paralaukik sukh bhi doshayukt hi hai; kyoanki vahaan bhi barabari valoan se ho d chalati hai, adhik sukh bhogane-valoan ke prati asooya hoti hai—unake gunoan mean dosh nikala jata hai aur chhotoan se ghrina hoti hai. pratidin puny kshin hone ke sath hi vahaan ke sukh bhi kshay ke nikat pahuanchate rahate haian aur ek din nasht ho jate haian. vahaan ki kamana poorn hone mean bhi yajaman, rritvijh aur karm adi ki trutiyoan ke karan b de-b de vighnoan ki sambhavana rahati hai. jaise hari-bhari kheti bhi ativrishti anavrishti adi ke karan nasht ho jati hai, vaise hi svarg bhi prapt hote-hote vighnoan ke karan nahian mil pata .
