uparyukt sandarbh men 'hindoo' shabd ki jo vyutpatti di gee hai, vah hai 'hinn dooshayati s hindoo' arthath jo hin (hinata athava nichata) ko dooshit samajhata (usaka tyag karata) hai, vah hindoo hai. isamen sandeh nahin ki yah yaugik vyutpatti arvachin hai, kyonki isaka prayog videshi akramanakariyon ke sandarbh men kiya gaya hai.

vastav men yah hindoo shabd bhaugolik hai. musalamanon ko yah shabd faras athava eeran se mila tha. farasi koshon men 'hind' aur isase vyutpann anek shabd pae jate hain. jaise- hindoo, hindi, hinduvi, hinduvani, hindookush, hindasa, hindasan, hindabana, hindooecharkh, hindamand adi. in shabdon ke astitv se spasht hai ki 'hind' shabd moolat: farasi hai aur isaka arth bharatavarsh hai. bharat, faras (eeran) ka padosi desh tha. isalie vahan isake nam ka bahut prayog hona svabhavik tha. farasi men balkh nagar ka nam 'hindavar', isake pas ke parvat ka nam hindookush aur bharatiy bhasha aur snskriti ke lie 'hindaki' shabd milata hai. in shabdon ke prayog se yah nishkarsh nikalata hai ki farasi bolane vale log hind (bharat) se bhali-bhanti parichit the aur ve hindookush tak ke pradesh ko bharat ka bhag samajhate the.

hindoo shabd ka prayog

chhandasyenn mrityukale tyajanti nidn shakunta iv jatapaksha:..[8]

arthath "vyakti ko ved pavitr nahin karate, chahe ve chh: angon ke sath hi kyon n padhe gaye hon. mrityukal men manushy ko ved kaise chhod dete hain, jaise pnkh ugane par pakshi ghonsale ko".
