varahapuran (adhyay 82) mean ganga ki vyutpatti ‘gaan gata’ (jo prithvi ki or gee ho) hai. padm. (srishti khand, 60|64-65) ne ganga ke vishay mean nimn moolamantr diya hai-‘oan namo gangayai vishvaroopinyai narayanyai namo nam:.’ padm.
