svayan bhagavan vishnu apane dahine hath mean dakshinavarti shankh dharan karate hai. puranoan ke anusar samudr manthan ke samay yah shankh nikala tha. jise svayan bhagavan vishnu ji ne dharan kiya tha. yah aisa shankh hai jise bajaya nahian jata, ise sarvadhik shubh mana jata hai.

arthath shrikrishna bhagavan ne paanchajany namak, arjun ne devadatt aur bhimasen ne pauandr shankh bajaya. kuanti-putr raja yudhishthir ne anantavijay shankh, nakul ne sughosh evan sahadev ne manipushpak namak shankh ka nad kiya. isake alava kashiraj, shikhandi, dhrishtadyumn, raja virat, satyaki, raja drupad, draupadi ke paanchoan putroan aur abhimanyu adi sabhi ne alag-alag shankhoan ka nad kiya.[7]

shankh ki utpatti
