- यह अधिनियम छायाचित्र, चलचित्र, ध्वनि रिकार्डिंग, मरणोपरांत प्रकाशन, अनाम प्रकाशन, छद्म प्रकाशन, सरकारी कृतियाँ और अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय कृतियों पर 'भारत कॉपीराइट अधिनियम 1957 (अनुच्छेद पाँच)' के अनुसार प्रथम प्रकाशन तिथि से 60 वर्ष तक प्रभावी रहता है (जैसे 2025 में, प्रकाशन तिथि 1 जनवरी 1965 के कार्य सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र में माने जाएँगे)
