  • yajnavalky ne uttar diya-'sthool, sookshm aur karan sharir ka nirman panchikrit panch mahabhootoan-prithvi, jal, agni, vayu aur akash dvara kiya gaya hai. prithvi se kapal, charm, asthi, maans aur nakhoon adi bane, jal se rakt, mootr, lar, pasina adi bana, agni se bhookh-pyas, ushnata, moh, maithun adi bane, vayu se chalana (gati) uthana-baithana, shvas adi bane aur akash se kam, krodh adi bane. sabake samuchchay ka sthool roop 'sharir' hai.'
  • rrishi ne age bataya ki apanjikrit mahabhootoan ke rajogun aansh se tin bhagoan mean 'pran' ka srijan kiya gaya. pran, apan, vyan, udan aur saman- ye paanch 'pran' haian. nag, koorm, krikar, devadatt aur dhananjay- paanch 'upapran' haian. hriday, asan(mooladhar), nabhi, kanth aur sarvaang us pran ke sthan haian. akash adi panchamahabhootoan ke rajogun yukt aansh ke chauthe bhag se karmendriyoan ka nirman kiya. isake satv aansh ke chauthe bhag se paanch jnanendriyoan ka nirman kiya.

tisara adhyay

is adhyay mean paiangal rrishi ne mahavakyoan ka vivaran samajhane ke lie kaha, to yajnavalky ne kaha ki 'vah tum ho' (tattvamasi)', 'tum vah ho' (tvan tadasi), 'tum brahm ho' (tavan brahmasi), 'maian brahm hooan' (ahan brahmasmi) ye mahavaky haian.

  • 'tatvamasi'- se sarvajn, mayavi, sachchidanand, jagath yoni arthath mool karan avyakt eeshvar ka bodh hota hai.
  • 'tattvamasi' aur 'ahan brahmasmi' ke arth par vichar karana shravan kahalata hai. shravan kiye arth ka ekant mean anusandhan manan kahalata hai. donoan ke dvara ekagratapoorvak chitt ka sthapan nididhyasan kahalata hai. jab chittavritti keval dhyey mean sthir ho jaye, tab vah avastha samadhi kahalati hai. 'brahm' ka sakshatkar hote hi yogi jivanmukt ho jata hai.

chautha adhyay

maian brahm hooan (ahamh brahmaasmi) yahi bhav mahatma purushoan ke moksh ka adhar hai. bandhan aur moksh ke karan-roop, ye do pad haian. 'yah mera hai,' 'bandhan' hai aur 'yah mera nahian hai', 'moksh' hai. jab dvait bhav samapt ho jata hai, tabhi paramapad prapt hota hai. jo yah nahian janata, usaki mukti akash mean mushtiprahar ke saman hai. jo is upanishad ka path karata hai, vah agni, vayu, adity, brahm, vishnu aur rudr ke saman pavitr hota hai. use das sahastr 'pranav' (oankar) nam ke jap ka phal prapt hota haian. jnani jan vishvavyapi bhagavan vishnu ke paramapad ke dyulok mean vyapt divy prakash ki bhaanti dekhate haian-
