| अन्य विवरण | मुख्य मंदिर से पश्चिम की ओर एक अशोककालीन प्रस्तर-स्तंभ है जिसकी ऊँचाई प्रारंभ में 17.55 मी. (55 फुट) थी। वर्तमान समय में इसकी ऊँचाई केवल 2.03 मीटर (7 फुट 9 इंच) है। स्तंभ का ऊपरी सिरा अब सारनाथ संग्रहालय में है। नींव में खुदाई करते समय यह पता चला कि इसकी स्थापना 8 फुट X16 फुट X18 इंच आकार के बड़े पत्थर के चबूतरे पर हुई थी। |
