अन्य विवरण 'रोसेटा शिलालेख' प्राचीन मिस्र की सभ्यता से जुड़ा है। ये एक काले पत्थर का टुकड़ा है जो दो हज़ार वर्षों से भी अधिक पुराना है। इस पत्थर पर ग्रीक और प्राचीन मिस्र की भाषा में अभिलेख खुदे हैं। इस पत्थर के कारण ही प्राचीन मिस्र की भाषा को समझने में सबसे बड़ी मदद मिली थी।
