jab chitt prasann ho, indriyaan shant hoan, deh nirbhay ho aur man mean asakti n ho, tab satvagun ki vriddhi samajhani chahiye. satvagun meri prapti ka sadhan hai . jab kam karate-karate jiv ki buddhi chanchal, jnanedriyaan asantusht, karmeandiyaan vikarayukt, man bhrant aur sharir asvasth ho jay, tab samajhana chahiye ki rajogun jor pak d raha hai . jab chitt jnanedriyoan ke dvara shabdadi vishayoan ko thik-thik samajhane mean asamarth ho jay aur khinn hokar lin hone lage, man soona-sa ho jay tatha ajnan aur vishad ki vriddhi ho, tab samajhana chahiye ki tamogun vriddhi par hai . uddhavaji! satvagun ke badhane par devataoan ka, rajogun ke badhane par asuroan ka aur tamogun ke badhane par rakshasoan ka bal badh jata hai. (vrittiyoan mean bhi kramashah satvadi gunoan ki adhikata hone par devatv, asuratv aur rakshasatv-pradhan nivritti,, pravritti athava moh ki pradhanata ho jati hai) . satvagun se jagrath-avastha, rajogun se svapnavastha hoti hai. turiy in tinoan mean ek-sa vyapt rahata hai. vahi shuddh aur ekaras atma hai . vedoan ke abhyas mean tatpar bramhan satvagun ke dvara uttarottar oopar ke lokoan mean jate haian. tamogun se jivoan ko vrikshadiparyant adhogati prapt hoti hai aur rajogun se manushy-sharir milata hai . jisaki mrityu satvagunoan ki vriddhi ke samay hoti hai, use svarg ki prapti hoti hai; jisaki rajogun ki vriddhi ke samay hoti hai, use manushy-lok milata hai aur jo tamogun ki vriddhi ke samay marata hai, use narak ki prapti hoti hai. parantu jo purush trigunatit—jivanmukt ho gaye haian, unhean meri hi prapti hoti hai . jab apane dharm ka acharan mujhe samarpit karake athava nishkam bhav se kiya jata hai tab vah satvik hota hai. jis karm ke anushthan mean kisi phal ki kamana rahati hai, vah rajasik hota hai aur jis karm mean kisi ko satane athava dikhane adi ka bhav rahata hai, vah tamasik hota hai . shuddh atma ka jnan satvik hai. usako karta-bhokta samajhana rajas jnan hai aur use sharir samajhana to sarvatha tamasik hai. in tinoan se vilakshan mere svaroop ka vastavik jnan nirgun jnan hai . van mean rahana satvik nivas hai, gaanv mean rahana rajas hai aur juaghar mean rahana tamasik hai. in sabase badhakar mere mandir mean rahana nirgun nivas hai .anasakt bhav se kar karane vala satvik hai, ragandh hokar karm karane vala rajasik hai aur poorvapar vichar se rahit hokar karane vala tamasik haian. inake atirikt jo purush keval meri sharan mean rahakar bina ahankar ke karm karata hai, vah nirgun karta hai . atmajnanavishayak shraddha satvik shraddha hai, karmavishayak shraddha rajas hai aur jo shraddha adharm mean hoti hai, vah tamas hai tatha meri seva mean jo shraddha hai, vah nirgun shraddha hai . arogyadayak, pavitr aur anayas prapt bhojan satvik hai. rasanendriy ko ruchikar aur svad ki drishti se yukt ahar rajas hai tatha duahkhadayi aur apavitr ahar tamas hai . antarmukhata se—atmachintan se prapt hone vala sukh satvik hai. bahirmukhata se—vishayoan se prapt hone vala rajas hai tatha ajnan aur dinata se prapt hone vala sukh tamas hai aur jo sukh mujhase milata hai, vah to gunatit aur aprakrit hai .
