| अन्य विवरण | भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के गोंडा-बहराइच ज़िलों की सीमा पर यह बौद्ध तीर्थ स्थान है। गोंडा-बलरामपुर से 12 मील पश्चिम में आधुनिक सहेत-महेत गांव ही श्रावस्ती है। पहले यह कौशल देश की दूसरी राजधानी थी, भगवान राम के पुत्र लव ने इसे अपनी राजधानी बनाया था, श्रावस्ती बौद्ध जैन दोनों का तीर्थ स्थान है, तथागत श्रावस्ती में रहे थे, यहाँ के श्रेष्ठी अनाथपिण्डिक ने भगवान बुद्ध के लिये जेतवन बिहार बनवाया था, आजकल यहाँ बौद्ध धर्मशाला, मठ और मन्दिर है। |
