vyakaran [ snskrit (dhatu) janh + d, athava ji + d ] pulling- pita, janak, utpatti, janm.
vishesh farasi aur angrezi se ae shabdon ki ‘z’ dhvani, jo vartsy aur sngharshi tatha ‘s’ ka ghosh roop hai, hindi-bhashiyon dvara kahin ‘j’ aur kahin ‘z’ boli jati hai.

  • videshi dhvaniyon ko bhi devanagari lipi men shuddh likhane aur bolane men samarth hindibhashi ‘z’ aur ‘j’ ko bolane/likhane men truti nahin karana chahate, kyonki ‘jina’ aur ‘zina’, ‘jara’ aur ‘zara’, ‘naj aur ‘naz’ ityadi men arth ka bahut antar ‘j’ ke sthan par ‘z’ athava ‘z’ ke sthan par ‘j’ bolane likhane se ho jata hai.
  • ‘j’ varn men svaron ki matraen samany roop se judati hai inake anusvar–yukt roop tatha anunasik roop chndrabindu-yukt roop bhi banate hain.
  • shirorekha ke oopar matra hone par chndrabindu ke sthan par mudran adi men suvidha ke lie keval bindu (anusvar jaisa) ka prayog bhi prachalit hai (jonk –jonk) parntu isamen bindi ko pncham varn (nh) ke sthan par lagi bindi samajhane ka bhram ho sakata hai.
  • ‘jh’ se ‘j’ ka snyog arthath ‘jh’ ka dvitv ‘jj’ ke roop men hota hai (lajja, sajjit).
  • ‘j’ varn se pahale akar milane vale vynjanon men ‘nh’ aur ‘rh’ mukhy hain. ‘nh’ ka snyukt roop ‘nj’ hota hai (kanj, punj) aur ‘r’ ka snyukt roop ‘rj’ (varjan, tarjani).
  • ‘nh’ ke snyukt roop vale shabdon ko shirorekha ke oopar bindi lagakar likhana bhi prachalit hai. jaise- kanj-knj, punj-punj.
  • ‘j’ pahale akar pray: pray: ’jh’, ‘n’, ‘y’ aur ‘r’ se milata hai. in varnon se snyukt roop kramash: ‘jjh’, ‘gy’, ‘jy’ aur ‘jr’ hote hain. jaise- tujjh, gyan, rajy, vajr. inamen se ‘jh’ aur ‘n’ ka snyukt roop ‘gy’ kshetriy boliyon men shatabdiyon se ‘gy’ bola jata raha hai (gyan=gyan) jabaki vastav men yah ‘jh‌n’ hai (gyan=jh‌nan) aur snskritgy isaka shuddh uchcharan hi karate hain.
  • ‘j’ ke saman hi ‘z’ ke bhi snyukt roop samajhane chahie parntu ‘j’ aur ‘n’ se isaka snyog nahin hota.
  • [ snskrit (dhatu) janh + d, athava ji + d ] pulling- pita, janak, utpatti, janm, vishnu, moksh, mukti, vish, zahar, pishach, kanti, abha, veg.
  • samast (=samas vale) pad ke ant me judakar ‘j’ = ...se utpann’. jaise- varij = vir se utpann, malayaj = malay se utpann.[1]
