kushth athava 'kodh' (aangrezi: Leprosy) ek rog hai, jisaki ganana sansar ke prachinatam jnat rogoan mean ki jati hai. isaka ullekh charak aur sushrut ne apane granthoan mean kiya hai. uttar saiberiya ko chho dakar sansar ka koee bhag aisa nahian tha, jahaan yah rog n raha ho. kiantu ab thande jalavayu vale pray: sabhi deshoan se is rog ka unmoolan kiya ja chuka hai. yah ab adhikashant: kark rekha[1] se lage garm deshoan ke uttari aur dakshini patti mean hi simit hai aur uttari bhag ki apeksha dakshini bhag mean adhik hai.

rog ke prakar

ayurved ke anusar kushth chaudah prakar ke kahe ge haian aur usake aantargat tvacha ke shvet roop dharan karane ko bhi kushth kaha gaya hai. kiantu adhunik vijnan use kushth se bhinn manata hai. kushth samanyat: tin prakar ka hi hota hai-

  1. 'tantrika kushth'[4] - isamean sharir ke ek athava anek avayavoan ki sanvedanashilata samapt ho jati hai. suee chubhone par bhi manushy kisi prakar ka koee kasht anubhav nahian karata.

  3. 'mishrit kushth' - isamean sharir ke avayavoan ki sanvedanashilata samapt hone ke sath-sath tvacha mean chakatte bhi p date haian aur gaanthe bhi nikalati haian.

lakshan

chikitsa

ayurved mean kushth rog ki chikitsa ke liye mukhyat: khadir aur babachi ka upayog hota hai. sushrut mean isake lie bhallak tel ka upayog bataya gaya hai. chalamogara ka tel khane aur lagane ka bhi vidhan hai. chalamogara ke tel ka prayog is rog mean adhunik chikitsak bhi karate haian. ithail, estar, promin, salphraton, aisoneks aur streptomaisin is rog ki mukhy aushadhiyaan haian.[2]
