satasee gosvami tulasidas ke dohon ka ek sngrah grnth hai. in dohon men se anek dohe 'dohavali' ki vibhinn pratiyon men tulasidas ke any grnthon men bhi milate hain aur unase liye gaye hai. bahut se 'ramacharit manas' aur 'ramgya prashn' se liye gaye hain.

'satasee' ki vibhinn pratiyon men usake kee path bhi milate hain. in pathon ka milan nahin kiya gaya hai, kintu inamen paraspar antar bahut hai. isaka sampadan kavi apane jivan kal men nahin kar saka tha. sambhavat: usake vividh vishayon ke kuchh sphut dohe hi the, jinhen alag-alag dhng se alag-alag vyaktiyon ne snkalit kar liya. isamen alag-alag vishayon ke 700 ke lagabhag dohe hain. isaki pratiyan prayah ek path ki milati hain. 'satasee' ka ek pramukh ansh 'dohavali' men bhi milata hai. 'satasee' ke shesh ansh shabd, roop, shaili tatha vichar dhara ki drishtiyon se us ansh se itane bhinn hain ki ve adhikatar prakshipt gyat hote hain. udaharan ke liye usake prarnbh ke hi nimnalikhit dohon ko dekha ja sakata hai-

namo namo narayan paramatam saradham.
jehi sumiran sidhi hot hai tulasi jan man kam॥

param purush par dham bar ja par apar n an.
tulasi so samujhat sunat ram soi niraban ॥

sakal sukhad gun jasu so ram kamana hin.
sakal kamaprad sarvahit tulasi kahahi pravin॥

jake rom rom prati amit amit brihmand.
so dekhat tulasi prakat amal suachal akhand॥

uparyukt prithakh dohe ka 'namo namo' tulasi grnthavali men anyatr nahin milata hai, yadyapi "nam" ke "namam", "namami" adi roop milate hain. vyakaran ki drishti se "sidhi" chity hai, "jan man kam" aur "sidhi" men ek hi hota hai. kriya ka karta ho sakata hai. doosare dohe men "paramadham" ke sath "var" anavashyak hi nahin nira bharati ka hai. samanarthiyon "apar" aur "an" men ek hi hona chahie tha, "samujhat" aur "sunat" prasng men anavashyak hi nahin, asngat lagate hain. tisare dohe men "sakal" ki punarakti chity hai. "so" asngat lagata hai, "jo" kadachit adhik sngat hota. chauthe dohe ka "rom rom", "ramavali" adi roop to tulasi grnthavali men milate hain, "rom rom" roop kahin nahin milata hai. punah isaki rachana-tithi jo nimnalikhit dohe men huee hai, vah bhi ganana men thik nahin ati hai.

madhav sit siy janam tithi satasaiya avatar॥"

is dohe ke anusar tithi snvat 1624 vaishakh shukl 9 (sita ji ki janmatithi) hoti hai, kintu ganana se is tithi ko guruvar n padakar ke budhavar padata hai. atah "satasee" apane satasee roop men tulasidas ji ki rachana nahin hai, usaka ek ansh hai, jo 'dohavali' men paya jata hai, tulasidas ki rachana mani ja sakati hai.[1]

'satasee' kisi ek vishay ki rachana nahin hai. isamen anekanek vishayon ke sphut dohe snkalit hue hain. kuchh chhnd kavi ke jivan ki anek ghatanaon se sambandhit hain. inaka mahattv kavi ke pramanik jivan vritt ke nirman men bahut adhik hai. 'kavitavali' ke chhndon ke bad 'satasee' ke in dohon se hi kavi ke jivan- vrit nirman men hamen ullekhaniy sahayata milati hai.
