doob ghas

doob ya 'doorva' (vaigyanik nam- 'sainodan dektilan") varsh bhar paee jane vali ghas hai, jo zamin par pasarate hue ya phailate hue badhati hai. hindoo dharm men is ghas ko bahut hi mahattvapoorn sthan prapt hai. hindoo snskaron evn karmakandon men isaka upayog bahut kiya jata hai. isake ne paudhe bijon tatha bhoomigat tanon se paida hote hain. varsha kal men doob ghas adhik vriddhi karati hai tatha varsh men do bar sitambar-aktoobar aur faravari-march men isamen phool ate hai. doob sampoorn bharat men paee jati hai. bhagavan ganesh ko doob ghas priy hai. yah ghas aushadhi ke roop men vishesh taur par prayog ki jati hai.

pauranik katha

"tvn doorve amritanamasi sarvadevaistu vandita.
vandita dah tatsarvn duritn yanmaya kritam॥"

pauranik katha ke anusar- samudr mnthan ke dauran ek samay jab devata aur danav thakane lage to bhagavan vishnu ne mndarachal parvat ko apani jngha par rakhakar samudr mnthan karane lage. mndarachal parvat ke gharshan se bhagavan ke jo rom toot kar samudr men gire the, vahi jab kinare akar lage to doob ke roop men parinit ho gaye. amrit nikalane ke bad amrit kalash ko sarvapratham isi doob par rakha gaya tha, jisake phalasvaroop yah doob bhi amrit tuly hokar amar ho gayi. doob ghas vishnu ka hi rom hai, atah sabhi devataon men yah poojit huee aur agr pooja ke adhikari bhagavan ganesh ko ati priy huee. tabhi se pooja men doorva ka prayog anivary ho gaya.[1]

'bharatiy snskriti' men doob ko atynt mahattvapoorn sthan prapt hai. chahe 'nag pnchami' ka poojan ho ya vivahotsav ya phir any koee shubh mangalik avasar, poojan-samagri ke roop men doob ki upasthiti se us samay utsav ki shobha aur bhi badh jati hai.

doob ka paudha zamin se ooncha nahin uthata, balki zamin par hi phaila hua rahata hai, isalie isaki namrata ko dekhakar guru nanak ne ek sthan par kaha hai-

nanakani chaho chale, jaise nichi doob
aur ghas sookh jaega, doob khoob ki khoob.

hindoo dharm ke shastr bhi doob ko param-pavitr manate hain. bharat men aisa koee mangalik kary nahin, jisamen haldi aur doob ki zaroorat n padati ho. doob ke vishay men ek snskrit kathan is prakar milata hai-

"vishnavadisarvadevanan doorve tvn pritida yada.
kshirasagar snbhoote vnshavriddhikari bhav.."

arthath "he durva! tumhara janm kshirasagar se hua hai. tum vishnu adi sab devataon ko priy ho."

"ramn durvadal shyamn, padmakshn pitavasasa."

prayah jo vastu svasthy ke lie hitakar siddh hoti thi, use hamare poorvajon ne dharm ke sath jodakar usaka mahatv aur bhi badha diya. doob bhi aisi hi vastu hai. yah sare desh men bahutayat ke sath har mausam men upalabdh rahati hai. doob ka paudha ek bar jahan jam jata hai, vahan se ise nasht karana bada mushkil hota hai. isaki jaden bahut hi gahari panapati hain. doob ki jadon men hava tatha bhoomi se nami khinchane ki kshamata bahut adhik hoti hai, yahi karan hai ki chahe jitani sardi padati rahe ya jeth ki tapati dupahari ho, in sabaka doob par asar nahin hota aur yah akshunn bani rahati hai.[3]

panch durva ke sath bhakt apane pnchabhoot-pnchapran astitv ko gunatit ganesh ko arpit karate hain. is prakar trin ke madhyam se manav apani chetana ko paramatatv men vilin kar deta hai. ganesh ki pooja men do, tin ya panch durva arpan karane ka vidhan tntr shastr men milata hai. isake goodh arth hain. snkhyashastr ke anusar durva ka arth jiv hota hai, jo sukh aur du:kh ye do bhog bhogata hai. jis prakar jiv pap-puny ke anuroop janm leta hai. usi prakar durva apane kee jadon se janm leti hai. do durva ke madhyam se manushy sukh-du:kh ke dvndv ko paramatma ko samarpit karata hai. tin durva ka prayog ygy men hota hai. ye 'anav'[4], 'karman'[5] aur 'mayik'[6] roopi avagunon ka bhasm karane ka pratik hai.[2]

udyanon ki shobha

doob ko snskrit men 'doorva', 'amrita', 'annta', 'gauri', 'mahaushadhi', 'shataparva', 'bhargavi' ityadi namon se janate hain. doob ghas par usha kal men jami huee os ki boonden motiyon-si chamakati pratit hoti hain. brahm muhoort men hari-hari os se paripoorn doob par bhraman karane ka apana nirala hi annd hota hai. pashuon ke lie hi nahin apitu manushyon ke lie bhi poorn paushtik ahar hai doob. maharana pratap ne vanon men bhatakate hue jis ghas ki rotiyan khaee thin, vah bhi doob se hi nirmit thi.[3] rana ke ek prasng ko kavivar kanhaiyalal sethiya ne apani kavita men is prakar nibaddh kiya hai-

doob ghas ki shakha

arvachin vishleshakon ne bhi parikshanon ke uparant yah siddh kiya hai ki doob men protin, karbohaidret paryapt matra men milate hain. doob ke paudhe ki jaden, tana, pattiyan in sabhi ka chikitsa kshetr men bhi apana vishisht mahatv hai. ayurved men doob men upasthit anek aushadhiy gunon ke karan doob ko 'mahaushadhi' men kaha gaya hai. ayurvedacharyon ke anusar doob ka svad kasaila-mitha hota hai. vibhinn paittik evn kaphaj vikaron ke shaman men doob ka nirapad prayog kiya jata hai. doob ke kuchh aushadhiy gun nimnalikhit hain-

  • doob ghas ke ras ko hara rakt kaha jata hai, ise pine se enimiya thik ho jata hai.
  • nakasir men isaka ras nak men dalane se labh hota hai.
  • is ghas ke kadhe se kulla karane se munh ke chhale mit jate hai.
  • doob ka ras pine se pitt jany vaman[7] thik ho jata hai.
  • is ghas se prapt ras dast men labhakari hai.
  • yah rakt strav, garbhapat ko rokati hai aur garbhashay aur garbh ko shakti pradan karati hai.
  • kune vali doob pisakar mishri ke sath lene se pathari men labh hota hai.
  • doob ko pis kar dahi men milakar lene se bavasir men labh hota hai.
  • isake ras ko tel men paka kar lagane se dad, khujali mit jati hai.
  • doob ke ras men atis ke choorn ko milakar din men do-tin bar chatane se maleriya men labh hota hai.
  • isake ras men barik pisa nag keshar aur chhoti ilayachi milakar sooryoday ke pahale chhote bachchon ko nasy dilane se ve tndurust hote hai. baitha hua taloo oopar chadh jata hai.[8]
