  • vaidik aur pauranik akhyanon ke anusar bhagavan shri soory samast jiv-jagat ke atmasvaroop hain. ye hi akhil srishti ke adi karan hain. inhin se sab ki utpatti huee hai.
  • pauranik sandarbh men sooryadev ki utpatti ke anek prasng prapt hote hain. yadyapi unamen varnit ghatanakramon men antar hai, kintu kee prasng paraspar milate-julate hain. sarvadhik prachalit manyata ke anusar bhagavan soory maharshi kashyap ke putr hain. ve maharshi kashyap ki patni aditi ke garbh se utpann hue. aditi ke putr hone ke karan hi unaka ek nam adity hua. paitrik nam ke adhar par ve kashyap prasiddh hue. snkshep men yah katha is prakar hai- ek bar daity-danavon ne milakar devataon ko parajit kar diya. devata ghor snkat men padakar idhar-udhar bhatakane lage. dev-mata aditi is har se du:khi hokar bhagavan soory ki upasana karane lagin. bhagavan soory prasann hokar aditi ke samaksh prakat hue. unhonne aditi se kaha- devi! tum chinta ka tyag kar do. main tumhari ichchha poorn karoonga tatha apane hazaraven ansh se tumhare udar se prakat hokar tere putron ki raksha karoonga.' itana kahakar bhagavan soory antardhan ho gaye.
  • kuchh samay ke uparant devi aditi garbhavati hueen. sntan ke prati moh aur mngal-kamana se aditi anek prakar ke vrat-upavas karane lagin. maharshi kashyap ne kaha- 'aditi! tum garbhavati ho, tumhen apane sharir ko sukhi aur pusht rakhana chahiye, parantu yah tumhara kaisa vivek hai ki tum vrat-upavas ke dvara apane garbhand ko hi nasht karane par tuli ho. aditi ne kaha- 'svami! ap chinta n karen. mera garbh sakshat soory shakti ka prasad hai. yah sada avinashi hai.' samay ane par aditi ke garbh se bhagavan soory ka prakaty hua aur bad men ve devataon ke nayak bane. unhonne devashatru asuron ka snhar kiya.
  • bhagavan soory ke parivar ki vistrit katha bhavishy puran, matsy puran, padm puran, brahm puran, markandey puran tatha sambapuran men varnit hai.
  • brahma, vishnu, mahesh adi devaganon ka bina sadhana evn bhagavatkripa ke pratyaksh darshan hona sambhav nahin hai. shastr ke agyanusar keval bhavana ke dvara hi dhyan aur samadhi men unaka anubhav ho pata hai, kintu bhagavan soory nity sabako pratyaksh darshan dete hain. isaliye pratyaksh dev bhagavan soory ki nity upasana karani chahiye.
  • vaidik sookton, puranon tatha agamadi granthon men bhagavan soory ki nity aradhana ka nirdesh hai. mantr mahodadhi tatha vidyarnav men bhagavan soory ke do prakar ke mantr milate hain. pratham mantr- Om ghrini soory adity Om tatha dvitiy mantr- Om hrin ghrini soory adity: shrin hrin mahyn lakshmin prayachchh hai.
  • bhagavan soory ke ardhyadan ki vishesh mahatta hai. pratidin prat:kal raktachandanadi se mandal banakar tatha tamrapatr men jal, lal chandan, chaval, raktapushp aur kushadi rakhakar sooryamantr ka jap karate hue bhagavan soory ko ardhy dena chahiye. sooryarghy ka mantr Om ehi soory sahastransho tejorashe jagatpate. anukampay man bhaktya grihanarghyn divakar hai. ardhyadan se prasann hokar bhagavan soory ayu, arogy, dhan-dhany, yash, vidya, saubhagy, mukti- sab kuchh pradan karate hain.

  • bhagavan virat ke netr se jinaki abhivyakti hai, jo lok lochan ke adhidevata hain, jo upasana karane par samast rogon, netr doshon, grah pidaon ko door karake upasak ki sampoorn kamanaon ko poorn karate hain, anadi kal se bharatiy karmanishth dvijadi jinhen pratidin apani ardhyanjali nivedit karate hain, jo samast sacharachar jagat ke jivanadata aur sampoorn praniyon ke aradhy hain, un jyotighan, jivan, ushnata aur gyan ke svaroop bhagavan sooryanarayan ko hamara shatash: pranipat.
  • drishy sooryamandal unaka ek sthool nivas hai. vishv men koti-koti soory mandal hain. vigyan akashagnga ke pratyek tarak ko soory kahata hai. hamare gagan ki akashagnga ke pichhe kitane hi niharika mandal hain. sab akashagnga hain. sab sooryon se jagamagati hain. koee nahin janata, unaki snkhya kitani hai. un sab sooryon ke adhishthata bhagavan narayan hi hain. shri sooryanarayan ki aradhana isi roop men aradhak karate hain.
  • maharshi kashyap lok pita hain. unaki patni devamata aditi ke garbh se bhagavan virat ke netron se vyakt sooryadev jagat men prakat hue. soory mandal ka drishy roop bhautik jagat men unaki deh hai. vishvakarma ki putri sngya se unaka parinay hua. sngya ke do putr aur ek kanya huee- shraddhadev vaivasvatamanu aur yamaraj tatha yamuna ji. sngya bhagavan soory ke tez ko sahan nahin kar pati thi. usane apani chhaya unake pas chhod di aur svayn ghodi ka roop dharan karake tap karane lagi. us chhaya se shanaishchar, savarni manu aur tapati namak kanya huee. bhagavan soory ne jab sngya ko tap karate dekha to use tusht karake apane yahan le aye. sngya ke badava (ghodi) roop se ashvinikumar hue. treta men kapiraj sugriv aur dvapar men maharathi karn bhagavan soory ke ansh se hi utpann hue.
  • pakshiraj garud ke bade bhaee vinata nandan arun ji bhagavan soory ke rath ko hankate hain. rath men sat ujjval ghode jute hain. aharnish yah rath poorn veg se chalata rahata hai.
  • saur siddhant bhi vastut: soory ko gatishil manata hai. vigyan ke mahanh vidvan abhi paraspar is sambandh men sahamat nahin hain. unaka anveshan chal raha hai. nity naye siddhant vahan banate ja rahe hain.
  • bhagavan soory apane rath par asin avishrant bhav se meroo ki pradakshina karate rahate hain. unhin ke dvara din, ratri, mas, ritu, ayan, varsh adi ka vibhag hota hai. vahi dishaon ke bhi vibhajak hain.
  • bhagavan soory ki upasana barah mahinon men barah namon se hoti hai. us samay unake parshad bhi parivartit ho jate hain. in parshadon men rishi, apsaraen, gandharv, rakshas, bhall aur nag hain.
  • rishi rath se age chalate hue bhagavan ki stuti karate hain.
  • gandharv gan karate hain.
  • apsaraen nachati hain.
  • rakshas rath ko pichhe se thelate hain.
  • bhall rathayojak banate hain aur
  • nag rath ko le chalate hain.

  • bhagavan soory sakshat narayan hain. un shruti dham ne vaji (ashv)-roop dharan karake maharshi yagyvalky ko shukl yajurved ka upadesh kiya.
  • shri hanuman ji ke vidya guru bhi vahi hain.
  • bharat men ravivar ka vrat khoob prakhyat hai. anek art usase saphalakam hote hain.

  • soory ko manav/avatar/devata manate hue usaka janm aditi (prakriti) se hua mana gaya hai.
  • soory ki do patniyan arthat sahachari batayi gayin hain.

  • chhaya ki kokh se shani ka janm hua. gunon men pita se viparit dharm-karttavy vala hone ke karan shani pita soory ke sath manamutav jaisa vyavahar karata bataya gaya hai, parntu soory putr ke avagunon ko to kudrishti se dekhata hai par putr ke sath tatsth bana rahata hai.
  • shrimadbhagavatapuran men soory ke vishay men vistar se varnan kiya gaya hai. soory ki sthiti batayi hai -

'andamadhyagatah sooryo dyavabhoomyoryadantaram.
sooryandagolayormadhye kotyah syuah panchavinshatiah॥'

  • svarg aur prithvi ke bich men jo brahmand ka kendr hai vahin soory ki sthiti hai.

'mriteand esh etasmin yad bhoottato martand iti vyapadeshah.
hiranyagarbh iti yaddhiranyandasamudbhavah॥'

is achetan men virajane ke karan ise 'martand' bhi kaha jata hai. yah jyotirmay(hiranyamay) brahmand se prakat hue hain isalie inhen 'hiranyagarbha' bhi kahate hain. soory hi disha, akash, dyulok (antariksh) bhoolok, svarg aur moksh ke pradesh , narak, aur rasatal aur any bhagon ke vibhagon ka karan hai. soory hi samast devata, tiryak, manushy, sarisrip aur lata-vrikshadi samast jiv samoohon ke atma aur netrendriyake adhishthata hain, arthat soory se hi jivan hai. 'sooryen hi vibhajyante dishah khn dyaurmahi bhida. svargapavargonaraka rasaukansi ch sarvashah॥' 'devatiryanmanushyanan sarisripasavirudham. sarvajivanikayanan soory atma drigishvarah॥'

soory ki sthiti

soory grahon aur nakshatron ka svami hai. soory uttarayan, dakshinayan aur vishuvat nam vali kramashah mnd, shighr aur saman gatiyon se chalate hue samayanusar makaradi rashiyon men oonche-niche aur saman sthanon men jakar din rat ko bada,chhota karata hai. jab mesh ya tula rashi par ata hai tab din-rat saman ho jate hain. tab pratimas ratriyon men ek-ek ghadi kam hoti jati hai aur din badhate jate hain. jab vrishchikadi rashiyon par soory chalate hain tab isake viparit parivartan hota hai. shrimadbhagavapuran men soory ki parikrama ka marg nau karod, ikyavan lakh yojan bataya hai. samay ke sath soory ko spasht karane ke lie rupak hai:'soory ka snvatsar nam ka ek chakr (pahiya) hai, usamen mah roopi barah are hain, ritu roopi chhah nemiyan hain aur tin chaumase roopi tin nabhiyan hain.'

jyotish men soory

jyotish ke anusar soory sabase tejasvi, pratapi aur sat aur tamo gun vala grah kaha gaya hai. yah atma ka karak aur hriday evn nadi snsthan ka adhipati hai. soory samast brahmand ka kendr jyotish men bhi mana gaya hai. prachin gyan ka har vishay manavikaran aur roopak ke madhyam se spasht kiya gaya milata hai. soory bhi isase achhoota nahin hai.

  • soory kritika, uttarashadha aur uttaraphalguni nakshatron ka svami hai.
  • kritika nakshatr gyanarjan, pashupalan, rog, anasakti, ashant aur tarkikata ityadi gun-pradhan bataya gaya hai.
  • uttarashadha chitrakala, safaee, yash-kirti, prgya, pushtata, garvilapan, dridhata aur nipunata jaise vishayon ka pradhan bataya gaya hai.
  • uttaraphalguni tej-smaranashakti, kala-kushalata, vyavahar-kushalata, ekantapremi, mata-pita ke sukh se vnchit jaise gunon ki pradhanata vala bataya gaya milata hai.
  • soory sinh rashi, jo kal-purush( samay ka manaviyakaran) ka amashay/ pet mana gaya hai aur ganana se panchavi rashi hai, ka svami mana gaya hai aur bhavon ke anusar panchavan bhav shiksha, sntan, shauq aur adat ka hai.
