bhagavat puran, gitapres gorakhapur ka avaran prishth

is kalikal men 'shrimadbhagavat puran' hindoo samaj ka sarvadhik adaraniy puran hai. yah vaishnav sampraday ka pramukh granth hai. is granth men vedon, upanishadon tatha darshan shastr ke goodh evn rahasyamay vishayon ko atyant saralata ke sath niroopit kiya gaya hai. ise bharatiy dharm aur snskriti ka vishvakosh kahana adhik samichin hoga. saikadon varshon se yah puran hindoo samaj ki dharmik, samajik aur laukik maryadaon ki sthapana men mahattvapoorn bhoomika ada karata a raha hain.

is puran men sakam karm, nishkam karm, gyan sadhana, siddhi sadhana, bhakti, anugrah, maryada, dvait-advait, dvaitadvait, nirgun-sagun tatha vyakt-avyakt rahasyon ka samanvay upalabdh hota hai. 'shrimadbhagavat puran' varnan ki vishadata aur udatt kavy-ramaniyata se otaprot hai. yah vidya ka akshay bhandar hai. yah puran sabhi prakar ke kalyan dene vala tatha tray tap-adhibhautik, adhidaivik aur adhyatmik adi ka shaman karata hai. gyan, bhakti aur vairagay ka yah mahanh granth hai.

is puran men barah skandh hain, jinamen vishnu ke avataron ka hi varnan hai. naimisharany men shaunakadi rishiyon ki prarthana par lomaharshan ke putr ugrashrava soot ji ne is puran ke madhyam se shrikrishn ke chaubis avataron ki katha kahi hai.

is puran men varnashram-dharm-vyavastha ko poori manyata di gee hai tatha stri, shoodr aur patit vyakti ko ved sunane ke adhikar se vnchit kiya gaya hai. brahmanon ko adhik mahattv diya gaya hai. vaidik kal men striyon aur shoodron ko ved sunane se isalie vnchit kiya gaya tha ki unake pas un mantron ko shravan karake apani smriti men surakshit rakhane ka n to samay tha aur n hi unaka bauddhik vikas itana tikshn tha. kintu bad men vaidik rishiyon ki is bhavana ko samajhe bina brahmanon ne ise roodh bana diya aur ek prakar se vargabhed ko janm de dala.

'shrimadbhagavat puran' men bar-bar shrikrishn ke eeshvariy aur alaukik roop ka hi varnan kiya gaya hai. puranon ke lakshanon men pray: panch vishayon ka ullekh kiya gaya hai, kintu isamen das vishayon-sarg-visarg, sthan, poshan, ooti, manvantar, eeshanukatha, nirodh, mukti aur ashray ka varnan prapt hota hai (doosare adhyay men in das lakshanon ka vivechan kiya ja chuka hai). yahan shrikrishn ke gunon ka bakhan karate hue kaha gaya hai ki unake bhakton ki sharan lene se kirath hoon, andhr, pulind, pulkas, abhir, knk, yavan aur khas adi tatkalin jatiyan bhi pavitr ho jati hain.

puranon ke kram men bhagavat puran panchava sthan hai. par lokapriyata ki drishti se yah sabase adhik prasiddh hai. vaishnav 12 skndh, 335 adhyay aur 18 hazar shlokon ke is puran ko mahapuran manate hain. yah bhaktishakha ka advitiy grnth mana jata hai aur acharyon ne isaki anek tikaen ki hai. krishn-bhakti ka yah agar hai. sath hi uchch darshanik vicharon ki bhi isamen prachurata hai. paravarti krishn-kavy ki aradhya 'radha' ka ullekh bhagavat men nahin milata. is puran ka poora nam shrimadh bhagavat puran hai.

manyata

kuchh log ise mahapuran n manakar devi-bhagavat ko mahapuran manate hain. ve ise upapuran batate hain. par bahusnkhyak mat is paksh men nahin hain. bhagavat ke rachanakal ke snbndh men bhi vivad hai. dayannd sarasvati ne ise terahavin shatabdi ki rachana bataya hai, par adhikansh vidvanh ise chhathi shatabdi ka grnth manate hain. ise kisi dakshinaty vidvanh ki rachana mana jata hai. bhagavat puran ka dasavan skndh bhakton men vishesh priy hai.

srishti-utpatti

srishti-utpatti ke sandarbh men is puran men kaha gaya hai- ekoahambahusyami. arthath ek se bahut hone ki ichchha ke phalasvaroop bhagavan svayn apani maya se apane svaroop men kal, karm aur svabhav ko svikar kar lete hain. tab kal se tinon gunon- satv, raj aur tam men kshobh utpann hota hai tatha svabhav us kshobh ko roopantarit kar deta hai. tab karm gunon ke mahattv ko janm deta hai jo kramash: ahnkar, akash, vayu tej, jal, prithvi, man, indriyan aur satv men parivartit ho jate hain. in sabhi ke paraspar milane se vyashti-samashti roop pind aur brahmand ki rachana hoti hai. yah brahmand roopi andan ek hazar varsh tak aise hi pada raha. phir bhagavan ne usamen se sahastr mukh aur angon vale virat purush ko prakat kiya. us virat purush ke mukh se brahman, bhujaon se kshatrion se kshatriy, janghon se vaishy aur pairon se shoodr utpann hue.

rishiyon ko bhagavat katha sunate ugrashrava

virat purush roopi nar se utpann hone ke karan jal ko 'nar' kaha gaya. yah nar hi bad men 'narayan' kahalaya. kul das prakar ki srishtiyan bataee gee hain. mahattatv, ahnkar, tanmatr, indiyan, indriyon ke adhishthata dev 'man' aur avidya- ye chhah prakrit srishtiyan hain. inake alava char vikrit srishtiyan hain, jinamen sthavar vriksh, pashu-pakshi, manushy aur dev ate hain.

kal ganana

'shrimadbhagavat puran' men kal ganana bhi atyadhik sookshm roop se ki gee hai. vastu ke sookshmatam svaroop ko 'paramanu' kahate hain. do paramanuon se ek 'anu' aur tin anuon se milakar ek 'trasarenu' banata hai. tin trasarenuon ko par karane men soory kiranon ko jitana samay lagata hai, use 'truti' kahate hain. truti ka sau guna 'kalavedh' hota hai aur tin kalavedh ka ek 'lav' hota hai. tin lav ka ek 'nimesh', tin nimesh ka ek 'kshan' tatha panch kshanon ka ek 'kashta' hota hai. pandrah kashta ka ek 'laghu', pandrah laghuon ki ek 'nadika' athava 'dand' tatha do nadika ya dandon ka ek 'muhoort' hota hai. chhah muhoort ka ek 'prahar' athava 'yam' hota hai.

ek chaturyug (sat yug, treta yug, dvapar yug, kali yug) men barah hazar divy varsh hote hain. ek divy varsh manushyon ke tin sau sath varsh ke barabar hota hai.

pratyek manu 7,16,114 chaturyugon tak adhikari rahata hai. brahma ke ek 'kalp' men chaudah manu hote hain. yah brahma ki pratidin ki srishti hai. solah vikaron (prakriti, mahattatv, ahnkar, panch tanmatrane, do prakar ki indriyan, man aur pnchabhoot) se bana yah brahmandakosh bhitar se pachas karod yojan vistar vala hai. usake oopar das-das avaran hain. aisi karodon brahmand rashiyan, jis brahmand men paramanu roop men dikhaee deti hain, vahi paramatma ka paramadham hai. is prakar puranakar ne eeshvar ki mahatta, kal ki mahanata aur usaki tulana men charachar padarth athava jiv ki atyalpata ka vishadh vivechan prastut kiya hai.

pratham skndh

is puran ke pratham skndh men unatis adhyay hain jinamen shukadev ji eeshvar bhakti ka mahatmy sunate hain. bhagavan ke vividh avataron ka varnan, devarshi narad ke poorvajanmon ka chitran, raja parikshit ke janm, karm aur moksh ki katha, ashvatthama ka nindaniy krity aur usaki parajay, bhishm pitamah ka pranatyag, shrikrishn ka dvaraka gaman, vidur ke upadesh, dhritarashtr, gandhari tatha kunti ki tan gaman evn pandavon ka svargarohan ke lie himalay men jana adi ghatanaon ka kramavar kathanak ke roop men varnan kiya gaya hai.

dvitiy skndh

krishn arjun ko gyan dete hue

is skndh ka prarambh bhagavan ke virat svaroop varnan se hota hai. isake bad vibhinn devataon ki upasana, gita ka upadesh, shrikrishn ki mahima aur 'krishnarpanamastu' ki bhavana se ki gee bhakti ka ullekh hai. isamen bataya gaya hai ki sabhi jivatmaon men 'atma' svaroop krishn hi virajaman hain. puranon ke das lakshanon aur srishti-utpatti ka ullekh bhi is skndh men milata hai.

tritiy skndh

tritiy skndh uddhav aur vidur ji ki bhent ke sath prarambh hota hai. isamen uddhav ji shrikrishn ki bal-lilaon tatha any lila charitron ka ullekh karate hain. isake alava vidur aur maitrey rishi ki bhent, srishti kram ka ullekh, brahma ki utpatti, kal vibhajan ka varnan, srishti-vistar ka varnan, varah avatar ki katha, diti ke agrah par rishi kashyap dvara asamay diti se sahavas evn do amngalakari rakshas putron ke janm ka shap dena jay-vijay ka sanatkumar dvara shapit hokar vishnulok se girana aur diti ke garbh se 'hiranyaksh' evn 'hiranyakashipu' ke roop men janm lena, prahlad ki bhakti, varah avatar dvara hiranyaksh aur nrisinh avatar dvara hiranyakashipu ka vadh, kardam-devahooti ka vivah, sankhy shastr ka upadesh tatha kapil muni ke roop men bhagavan ka avatar adi ka varnan is skndh men kiya gaya hai.

chaturth skndh

is skndh ki prasiddhi 'purnjanopakhyan' ke karan bahut adhik hai. isamen purnjan namak raja aur bharatakhand ki ek sundari ka roopak diya gaya hai. is katha men purnjan bhog-vilas ki ichchha se navadvar vali nagari men pravesh karata hai. vahan vah yavanon aur gndharvon ke akraman se mana jata hai. roopak yah hai ki navadvar vali nagari yah sharir hai. yuvavastha men jiv isamen svachchhnd roop se vihar karata hai. lekin kalakanya roopi vriddhavastha ke akraman se usaki shakti nasht ho jati hai aur ant men usamen ag laga di jati hai.

roopak ko spasht karate hue narad ji kahate hain- "purnjan dehadhari jiv hai aur nau dvar vala nagar yah manav deh hai (nau dvar- do ankhen, do kan, do nasika chhidr, ek mukh, ek guda, ek ling). avidya tatha agyan ki maya roopi vah sundari hai. usake das sevak das indriyan hain. is nagar[1] ki raksha pnchamukhi sarp [2] karate hain. gyarah senapati[3], pap aur puny ke do pahie, tin gunon[4] vali rath ki dhvaja, tvacha adi sat dhatuon ka avaran tatha indriyon dvara bhog shikar ka pratik hai. kal ki prabal gati evn veg hi shatru gndharv chandaveg hai. usake tin sau sath gndharv sainik varsh ke tin sau sath din evn ratri hain, jo shanai:-shanai: ayu ka haran karate hain. panch pran vala manushy rat-din unase yuddh karata rahata hai aur harata rahata hai. kal bhayagrast jiv ko jvar athava vyadhi se nasht kar deta hai.

is roopak ka bhav yahi hai ki manushy apani indriyon ke upabhog se nirantar bhog-vilas men padakar apane sharir ka kshay karata rahata hai. vriddhavastha ane par shakti kshin hokar anek rogon se grast evn nasht ho jata hai. parijan usake parthiv sharir ko ag ki bhent chadha dete hain.

pncham skndh

pncham skndh men priyavrat, agnidhr, raja nabhi, rishabhadev tatha bharat adi rajaon ke charitron ka varnan hai. yah bharat jad bharat hai, shakuntala putr nahin. bharat ka mrig moh men mrig yoni men janm, phir gandak nadi ke pratap se brahman kul men janm tatha sindhu sauvir naresh se adhyatmik snvad adi ka ullekh hai. isake pashchath purnjanopakhyan ki bhanti roopak dvara praniyon ke snsar roopi marg ka sundar varnan kiya gaya hai. isake bad bharat vnsh tatha bhuvan kosh ka varnan hai. taduparant gngavataran ki katha, bharat ka bhaugolik varnan tatha bhagavan vishnu ka smaran shishumar namak jyotish chakr dvara karane ki vidhi bataee gee hai. ant men vibhinn prakar ke raurav narakon ka varnan yahan kiya gaya hai.

shashth skndh men narayan kavach aur punsavan vrat vidhi ka varnan janopayogi drishti se kiya gaya hai. punsavan vrat karane se putr ki prapti hoti hai. vyadhiyon, rogon tatha grahon ke dushprabhavon se manushy ki raksha hoti hai. ekadashi evn dvadashi ke din ise avashy karana chahie.

is skndh ka prarambh kanyakubj ke nivasi ajamil ujamil upakhyan se hota hai. apani mrityu ke samay ajamil apane putr 'narayan' ko pukarata hai. usaki pukar par bhagavan vishnu ke doot ate hain aur use paramalok le jate hain. bhagavat dharm ki mahima batate hue vishnu-doot kahate hain ki chor, sharabi, mitr-drohi, brahmaghati, guru-patnigami aur chahe kitana bhi bada papi kyon n ho, yadi vah bhagavan vishnu ke nam ka smaran karata hai to usake koti-koti janmon ke pap nasht ho jate hain. kintu is kathan men atishayokti dikhaee deti hai. parastrigami aur guru ki patni ke sath samagam karane vala kabhi sukhi nahin ho sakata. yah to jaghany pap hai. aisa vyakti raurav narak men hi girata hai.

isi skndh men daksh prajapati ke vnsh ka bhi varnan prapt hota hai. narayan kavach ke prayog se indr ko shatru par bhari vijay prapt hoti hai. is kavach ka prabhav mrityu ke pashchath bhi rahata hai. isamen vatrasur rakshas dvara devataon ki parajayas, dadhichi rishi ki asthiyon se vajr nirman tatha vatrasur ke vadh ki katha bhi di gee hai.

saptam skndh

saptam skndh men bhaktaraj prahlad aur hiranyakashipu ki katha vistarapoorvak hai. isake atirikt manav dharm, varn dharm aur stri dharm ka vistrit vivechan hai. bhakt prahlad ke kathanak ke madhyam se dharm, tyag, bhakti tatha nisprihata adi ki charcha ki gee hai.

is skndh men grah dvara gajendr ke pakade jane par vishnu dvara gajendr uddhar ki katha ka rochak vrittant hai. isi skandh men samudr manthan aur mohini roop men vishnu dvara amrit bantane ki katha bhi hai. devasur sngram aur bhagavan ke 'vaman avatar' ki katha bhi is skndh men hai. ant men 'matsyavatar' ki katha yah skndh samapt ho jata hai.

puranon ke ek lakshan 'vnshanucharit' ke anusar, is skndh men manu evn unake panch putron ke vnsh-ikshvaku vnsh, nimi vnsh, chndr vnsh, vishvamitr vnsh tatha puroo vnsh, bharat vnsh, magadh vnsh, anu vnsh, drahyu vnsh, turvasu vnsh aur yadu vnsh adi ka varnan prapt hota hai. ram, sita adi ka bhi vistar se vishleshan kiya gaya hai. unake adarshon ki vyakhya bhi ki gee hai. inhen bhi dekhen: sooryavnsh vriksh evn chandr vnsh vriksh

'poorvarddh' ke adhyayon men shrikrishn ke janm se lekar akroor ji ke hastinapur jane tak ki katha hai. 'uttarardh' men jarasndh se yuddh, dvarakapuri ka nirman, rukmini haran, shrikrishn ka grihasth dharm, shishupal vadh adi ka varnan hai. yah skndh poori tarah se shrikrishn lila se bharapoor hai. isaka prarambh vasudev devaki ke vivah se prarambh hota hai. bhavishyavani, kns dvara devaki ke balakon ki hatya, krishn ka janm, krishn ki bal lilaen, gopalan, kns vadh, akroor ji ki hastinapur yatra, jarasndh se yuddh, dvaraka palayan, dvaraka nagari ka nirman, rukmini se vivah, pradyumn ka janm, shambasur vadh, syamntak mani ki katha, janbavati aur satyabhama se krishn ka vivah, usha-aniruddh ka prem prasng, banasur ke sath yuddh tatha raja nrig ki katha adi ke prasng ate hain. isi skndh men krishn-sudama ki maitri ki katha bhi di gee hai.

ekadash skndh

ekadash skndh men raja janak aur nau yogiyon ke snvad dvara bhagavan ke bhakton ke lakshan ginae ge hain. brahmavetta dattatrey maharaj yadu ko upadesh dete hue kahate hain ki prithvi se dhairy, vayu se sntosh aur nirliptata, akash se aparichhinnata, jal se shuddhata, agni se nirliptata evn maya, chandrama se kshan-bhngurata, soory se gyan grahakata tatha tyag ki shiksha grahan karani chahie. age uddhav ko shiksha dete hue aththarah prakar ki siddhiyon ka varnan kiya gaya hai. isake bad eeshvar ki vibhootiyon ka ullekh karate hue varnashram dharm, gyan yog, karmayog aur bhaktiyog ka varnan hai.

dvadash skndh

is skndh men raja parikshit ke bad ke rajavnshon ka varnan bhavishyakal men kiya gaya hai. isaka sar yah hai ki 138 varsh tak raja pradyotan, phir shishunag vnsh ke das raja, maury vnsh ke das raja 136 varsh tak, shung vnsh ke das raja 112 varsh tak, kanv vnsh ke char raja 345 varsh tak, phir andhr vnsh ke tis raja 456 varsh tak rajy karenge. isake bad amir, gardabhi, kad, yavan, turk, gurund aur maun rajaon ka rajy hoga. maun raja 300 varsh tak aur shesh raja ek hazar ninyanave varsh tak rajy karenge. isake bad valhik vnsh aur shoodron tatha mlechchhon ka rajy ho jaega. dharmik aur adhyatmik kriti ke alava shuddh sahityik evn aitihasik kriti ke roop men bhi yah puran atyant mahattvapoorn hai.
