'ling puran' shaiv sampraday ka puran hai. 'ling' ka arth shiv ki jananendriy se nahin apitu unake 'pahachan chihn' se hai, jo agyat tattv ka parichay deta hai. is puran men ling ka arth vistar se bataya gaya hai. yah puran pradhan prakriti ko hi ling roop manata hai-

pradhann prakritishchaiti yadahurlingayuttamamh.

gandhavarnarasairhinn shabd sparshadivarjitamh ॥ (ling puran 1/2/2)

arthath pradhan prakriti uttam ling kahi gee hai jo gandh, varn, ras, shabd aur sparsh se tatasth ya varjit hai.

katha bhag

'ling puran' ka katha bhag 'shiv puran' ke saman hi hai. shaiv siddhanton ka atyant saral, sahaj, vyapak aur vistrit varnan jaisa is puran men kiya gaya hai, vaisa kisi any puran men nahin hai. is puran men kul ek sau tirasath adhyay hain. poorvarddh men ek sau ath aur uttarardh men pachapan adhyay hain. isamen shiv ke avyakt brahmaroop ka vivechan karate hue unase hi srishti ka udbhav bataya gaya hai.

srishti ka prarambh

bharatiy vedon, upanishadon tatha darshanon men srishti ka prarambh 'shabd brahm' se mana jata raha hai. us brahm ka n koee akar hai aur n koee roop. usi 'shabd brahm' ka pratik chihn sakar roop men 'shivaling' hai. yah shiv avyakt bhi hai aur anek roopon men prakat bhi hota hai.

tin roop

bharatiy manishiyon ne bhagavan ke tin roopon- 'vyakt', 'avyakt' aur 'vyaktavyakt' ka jagah-jagah ullekh kiya hai. 'ling puran' ne isi bhav ko shiv ke tin svaroopon men vyakt kiya hai-

ekenaiv hritn vishvn vyapt tvevn shiven tu.

arthath shiv ke tin roopon men se ek ke dvara srishti (vishv) ka snhar hua aur us shiv ke dvara hi yah vyapt hai. us shiv ki aling, ling aur liganling tin moortiyan hain.

srishti

bhav yahi hai ki shiv avyakt ling (bij) ke roop men is srishti ke poorv men sthit hain. vahi avyakt ling pun: vyakt ling ke roop men prakat hota hai. jis prakar brahm ko poori tarah n samajh pane ke karan 'neti-neti' kaha jata hai, usi prakar yah shiv vyakt bhi hai aur avyakt bhi. vastut: agyani aur ashikshit vyakti ko avyakt brahm (nirgun) ki shiksha dena jab dushkar jan padata hai, tab vyakt moorti ki kalpana ki jati hai. shivaling vahi vyakt moorti hai. yah shiv ka parichay chihn hai. shiv ke 'arddhanarishvar' svaroop se jis maithuni-srishti ka janm mana ja raha hai, yadi use hi janasadharan ko samajhane ke lie ling aur yoni ke is pratik chihn ko srishti ke prarambh men pracharit kiya gaya ho to kya yah anupayukt aur ashlil kahalaega. jo log is pratik chihn men matr bhautikata ko talashate hain, unhen is par vichar karana chahie.

'ling puran' men ling ka arth onkar (Om) bataya gaya hai. is puran men shiv ke atthaees avataron ka varnan hai. usi prasng men andhak, jalndhar, tripurasur adi rakshason ki kathaon ka bhi ullekh hai.

srishti ka avirbhav

'ling puran' men srishti ki utpatti pnch bhooton (akash, vayu, agni, jal aur prithvi) dvara bataee gee hai. pratyek tattv ka ek vishesh gun hota hai, jise 'tanmatr' kaha jata hai. bharatiy manishiyon ke anusar, srishti srijan ka vichar jab brahm ke man men aya to unhonne avidya athava ahnkar ko janm diya. yah ahnkar srishti se poorv ka gahan andhakar mana ja sakata hai is ahnkar se panch sookshm tattv- shabd, sparsh, roop, ras aur gndh utpann hue. yahi tanmatr kahalae. inake panch sthool tattv- akash, vayu, agni, jal aur prithvi prakat hue. bharatiy siddhant ke anusar tattvon ke isi vikas kram se srishti ka avirbhav hota hai. yah siddhant hazaron varshon se vidvanon ko many hai.

brahmand

'ling puran' ke anusar sampoorn vishv men karodon ki snkhya men brahmand hain. pratyek brahmand ke charon or das guna jal ka avaran hai. yah jal se das guna adhik tez se avritt rahata hai. tez se das guna avaran vayu ka hai, jo tez ko dhake rahata hai. vayu se bhi das guna avaran akash ka hai, jo vayu ke oopar rahata hai. pratyek brahmand ke prithakh brahma, vishnu aur rudr (shiv) arthath kartta, dhartta tatha snharakartta hain. brahmandon ki yah kalpana vigyan sammat hai. kyonki badi-badi doorabinon se dekhane par anek sooryon ka pata chalata hai jinaka prakash prithvi par pahunchane men hazaron varsh lag jate hain.

'ling puran' is drishti se vigyan par adharit hai ki is snsar men jo bhi bhinnata (yatha-dharm, jati, sampraday, samuday, varg, gotr adi) dikhaee padati hai, vah sab hamare dvara kalpit hai. yadi mool roop se vichar kiya jae to manushy hi nahin, samast prani usi prakar se ek hain, jis prakar mutthi bhar ret ke sabhi kan ya kisi patr men bhare hue jal ki pratyek boond.

dharm ki vyakhya

'dharm' ki vyakhya karate hue yah puran kahata hai ki dharm aur adhyatm ka vastavik sar isi bat men nihit hai ki manushy apani snkirn drishti tyag kar samast praniyon se atmiy bhav ka anubhav kare. kaha gaya hai- atmavath sarvabhooteshu y: pashyati s pndit: arthath jo samast praniyon men atmiy bhav rakhata hai, vahi pndit hai.

vikas kram

is snsar men jitane bhi chhote-bade jad-chetan padarth dikhaee padate hain, ve sabhi pnchabhooton ke hi khel hain. 'ling puran' is tathy ko poori tarah se svikar karata hai. bharatiy drishti men 'sookshm se sthool ki or' jane ki pravritti dekhi ja sakati hai. isilie bharatiy manishiyon ne akash se prithvi tak ke vikas kram ko prakat kiya, jaisa ki oopar padarth nahin manate, varanh ve unhen unaki mool avastha ke roop men svikar karate hain. prithvi tattv men usaki 'thos avastha' hai. jal tattv se tatpary usaki 'taral avastha' se hai. agni tattv ka tatpary usaki 'ooshmata' se hai. vayu tattv ka ashay usake 'pravahaman svaroop' se hai aur akash tattv ka ashay usake 'sookshm tattv' se hai.

sarvajanik hit

'ling puran' men jo upadesh prapt hote hain, ve sabhi sarvajanik hit ke hain. sarvapratham is puran men sadachar par sarvadhik bal diya gaya hai. bhagavan shiv aise logon se prasann hote hain. jo snyami, dharmik dayavan, tapasvi, sadhu, snnyasi, satyavadi, vedon aur smritiyon ke gyata tatha sampradayik vaimanasy se door dharm men astha rakhate hon. vidya ki sadhana karane vala hi sadhu kahalata hai. kalyanakari karm hi dharm hai. satkarm hi manushy ko sadharan se asadharan banate hain.


puranakar raja kshup aur dadhichi rishi ki katha ke madhyam se brahmanon ki shreshthata ka pratipadan karata hai. donon ka prativad bhakt aur shiv-bhakt ke madhy yuddh ke roop men parivartit ho jata hai. ant men vijay dadhichi ki hoti hai, jinhen bhautikata se koee moh nahin hai. yahi dadhichi rishi indr ko vajr banane ke lie apani asthiyon tak ka dan de dalate hain.

yugon ka varnan

charon yugon ke varnan se puranakar srishti ke kramik vikas ko hi spasht karata hai. 'satayug' ke prani param tript the. unamen kisi prakar ka bhedabhav nahin tha. ve adhikatar parvaton aur kandaraon men rahate the. nishkam aur karmashil the. us samay varnashram vyavastha nahin thi. yah manushy ki adim avastha thi. unaki avashyakataen simit thin. prithvi se jal aur khady padarthon ko prapt karane ka gyan unhen hone laga. isi yug men varnon ka vibhajan hua. 'dvapar yug' men khady padarthon, striyon aur apane parivarik samudayon ki suraksha ke lie sngharsh badh ge. bhasha ka janm hua. gram, nagar aur rajy ban ge. 'kali yug' men jaise svarth pramukh ho gaya aur svayn ke pradarshan ki pravritti badh gee. acharanon ka palan dushkar pratit hone laga. parasparik simane, eershya aur duragrah badh gaya. log hinsak hone lage. vastav men yugon ka yah varnan manav vikas ki hi kahani hai, jo atyachar aur patan ki charam sthiti par pahunchakar nasht ho jati hai.

khagol vidya

khagol vidya par bhi 'ling puran' kafi vistrit prakash dalata hai. isamen bataya gaya hai ki chandrama, nakshatr aur grah adi sabhi soory se nikale hain tatha ek din usi men lin ho jaenge. soory hi tinon lokon ka svami hai. kal, ritu aur yug usi se utpann hote hain tatha usi men lay ho jate hain. jivani-shakti usi se prapt hoti hai.

dharmik sahishnuta

'ling puran' men dharmik sahishnuta par vishesh bal diya gaya hai. nagn rahane vale aur jal ko chhanakar pine vale ahinsavadi jain sadhuon ko yathochit adar diya gaya hai. sansarik kashton ki nivritti ke lie mukhy marg 'dhyan' ko bataya gaya hai. gyan dvara avidya jany kamanaon ko nasht kiya ja sakata hai.

yog

is puran men 'yog' ke panch prakar batae ge hain- mantr yog, sparsh yog, bhav yog, abhav yog aur mahayog. 'mantr yog' men mantron ka jap aur dhyan kiya jata hai. 'sparsh yog' men yogiyon dvara batae ge 'ashtang yog' ka varnan ata hai. 'bhav yog' men rajayog ki bhanti shiv ki man se aradhana ki jati hai. 'abhav yog' is snsar ko sarvatha shoony aur mithya manata hai. yah kshanabhngur hai. jandi hi samapt ho jane vala hai. 'mahayog' in sabhi prakar ke yogon ka snkalit evn kalyanakari svaroop hai.

'ling puran' ke any pratipady vishayon men shiv ki upasana, gayatri mahima, pnch ygy vidhan, bhasm aur snan vidhi, sapt dvip, bharatarsh ki varnan, jyotish chakr akhyan, dhruv akhyan, soory aur chandr vnsh varnan, kashi mahatmy, daksh-ygy vidhvns, madan dahan, uma svaynvar, shiv tandav, upamanyu charitr, ambarish charitr, aghor roop dhari shiv ki pratishtha tatha tripur vadh adi ka varnan shamil hai.

pnchamukhi brahma

pauranik drishti se 'ling puran' anek puranon se adhik shikshaprad aur sadupadesh parak hai. shiv tattv ki gambhir samiksha isi puran men prapt hoti hai. shiv hi pnchamukhi brahma ke roop men prakat hote hain. ve hi srishti ke niyanta aur snharak hain. vastut: shaiv mat ka pratipadan karate hue bhi 'ling puran' brahm ki ekata ka siddhant pratipadit karata hai. sabhi viddhan is tathy ko svikar bhi karate hain.
