brahm puran, gitapres gorakhapur ka avaran prishth

'brahm puran' ganana ki drishti se sarvapratham gina jata hai. parantu isaka tatpary yah nahin hai ki yah prachinatam hai. kal ki drishti se isaki rachana bahut bad men huee hai. is puran men sakar brahm ki upasana ka vidhan hai. isamen 'brahm' ko sarvopari mana gaya hai. isilie is puran ko pratham sthan diya gaya hai. karmakand ke badh jane se jo vikritiyan tatkalin samaj men phail gee thin, unaka vistrit varnan bhi is puran men milata hai. yah samast vishv brahm ki ichchha ka hi parinam hai. isilie usaki pooja sarvapratham ki jati hai.

puranon men pratham

vedavetta mahatma vyasaji ne sampoorn lokon ke hit ke liye pahale brahm puran ka snkalan kiya. vah sab puranon men pratham aur dharm, arth, kam evn moksh denevala hai. usamen nana prakar ke akhyan aur itihas hain. usaki shlok-snkhya das hazar batayi jati hai. munishvar! usamen devataon, asuron aur daksh adi prajapatiyon ki utpatti kahi gayi hai. tadanantar usamen lokeshvar bhagavan soory ke punyamay vnsh ka varnan kiya gaya hai, jo mahapatakon ka nash karane vala hai. usi vnsh men paramanandasvaroop tatha chaturvyoohavatari bhagavan shriramachandr ji ke avatar ki katha kahi gayi hai. tadanantar us puran men chandravnsh ka varnan aya hai aur jagadishvar shrikrishn ke papanashak charitr ka bhi varnan kiya gaya hai. sampoorn dvipon, samast varshon tatha patal aur svargalok ka varnan bhi us puran men dekha jata hai. narakon ka varnan, sooryadev ki stuti aur katha evn parvatiji ke janm tatha vivah ka pratipadan kiya gaya hai. tadanantar daksh prajapati ki katha aur ekamnakakshetr ka varnan hai.

narad! is prakar is brahm puran ke poorv bhag ka niroopan kiya gaya hai. isake uttar bhag men tirthayatra-vidhipoorvak purushottam kshetr ka vistar ke sath varnan kiya gaya hai. isi men shrikrishnacharitr ka vistarapoorvak ullekh hua hai. yamalok ka varnan tatha pitaron ke shraddh ki vidhi hai. is uttar bhag men hi varnon aur ashramon ke dharmon ka vistarapoorvak niroopan kiya gaya hai. vaishnav-dharm ka pratipadan, yugon ka niroopan tatha pralay ka bhi varnan aya hai. yogon ka niroopan, sankhyasiddhanton ka pratipadan, brahmavad ka digdarshan tatha puran ki prashnsa adi vishay aye hain. is prakar do bhagon se yukt brahm puran ka varnan kiya gaya hai, jo sab papon ka nashak aur sab prakar ke sukh dene vala hai. isamen soot aur shaunak ka snvad hai. yah puran bhog aur moksh dene vala hai. jo is puran ko likhakar vaishakh ki poornima ko ann, vastr aur abhooshanon dvara pauranik brahman ki pooja karake use suvarn aur jaladhenusahit is likhe hue puran ka bhaktipoorvak dan karata hai, vah chandrama, soory aur taron ki sthitikal tak brahmalok men vas karata hai. brahman! jo brahm puran ki is anukramanika (vishay-soochi) ka path athava shravan karata hai, vah bhi samast puran ke path aur shravan ka phal pa leta hai. jo apani indriyon ko vash men karake havishyann bhojan karate hue niyamapoorvak samooche brahm puran ka shravan karata hai, vah brahmapad ko prapt hota hai. vats! is vishay men adhik kahane se kya labh? is puran ke kirtan se manushy jo-jo chahata hai, vah sab pa leta hai.

is jagath ka pratyaksh jivanadata aur kartta-dhartta 'soory' ko mana gaya hai. isalie sarvapratham soory narayan ki upasana is puran men ki gee hai. soory vnsh ka varnan bhi is puran men vistar se hai. soory bhagavan ki upasana-mahima isaka pramukh pratipady vishay hai.

chaudah hazar shlok

sampoorn 'brahm puran' men do sau chhiyalis adhyay hain. isaki shlok snkhya lagabhag chaudah hazar hai. is puran ki katha lomaharshan soot ji evn shaunak rishiyon ke snvad ke madhyam se varnit hai. 'soory vnsh' ke varnan ke uparant 'chandr vnsh' ka vistar se varnan hai. isamen shrikrishn ke alaukik charitr ka vishesh mahattv darshaya gaya hai. yahin par jamboo dvip tatha any dvipon ke varnan ke sath-sath bharatavarsh ki mahima ka vivaran bhi prapt hota hai. bharatavarsh ke varnan men bharat ke mahattvapoorn tirthon ka ullekh bhi is puran men kiya gaya hai. isamen 'shiv-parvati' akhyan aur 'shri krishn charitr' ka varnan bhi vistarapoorvak hai. 'varah avatar ','nrisinh avatar' evn 'vaman avatar' adi avataron ka varnan sthan-sthan par kiya gaya hai.

konark

sooryadev ka pramukh mandir udisa ke konark sthan par hai. usaka parichay bhi is puran men diya gaya hai. us mandir ke bare men puranakar likhata hai-"bharatavarsh men dakshin sagar ke nikat 'audr desh' (udisa) hai, jo svarg aur moksh- donon ko pradan karane vala hai. vah samast gunon se yukt pavitr desh hai. us desh men utpann hone vale brahman sadaiv vandaniy hain. usi pradesh men 'konadity' namak bhagavan soory ka ek bhavy mandir sthit hai. isamen soory bhagavan ke darshan karake manushy sabhi papon se chhutakara pa jata hai. yah bhog aur moksh- donon ko dene vala hai. magh shukl saptami ke din soory bhagavan ki upasana ka vishesh parv yahan hota hai. ratri bit jane par prat:kal sagar men snan karake dev, rishi tatha manushyon ko bhali-bhanti tarpan karana chahie. navin shuddh vastr dharan kar poorv disha ki or munh karake, tamrapatr athava ark patron se bane done men til, akshat, jaliy rakt chandan, lal pushp aur darpan rakhakar soory bhagavan ki pooja karen."

soory pooja prakaran men puranakar kahata hai-

pranidhay shiro bhoomyan namaskarn karoti: y:.

tatkshanath sarvapapebhyo muchyate natr snshay: ॥(brahm puran 21/19)

arthath jo prani apane mastak ko bhoomi par tekakar sooryadev ko namaskar karata hai, vah usi kshan samast papon se chhutakara pa jata hai. isamen namamatr ko bhi snshay nahin hai.

soory ki upasana sagar tat par Om namo narayan mantr ke jap dvara karani chahie. yah mantr samast manorathon ki siddhi dene vala hai. sagar tirtharaj kahalata hai. jab tak usake mahattv ka varnan nahin kiya jata, tab tak any tirth apane mahattv ko lekar garjana karate rahate hain.

tavadh garjanti tirthani mahatmyai: svai: prithakh prithakh.

yavann tirtharajasy mahatmyn varnyate dvijai ॥ (brahm puran 29/16-17)

bharatavarsh

puranon ki parampara ke anusar 'brahm puran' men srishti ke samast lokon aur bharatavarsh ka bhi varnan kiya gaya hai. kaliyug ka varnan bhi is puran men vistar se upalabdh hai. 'brahm puran' men jo kathaen di gee hain, ve any puranon ki kathaon se bhinn hain. jaise 'shiv-parvati' vivah ki varnan any puranon se bhinn hai. is katha men dikhaya gaya hai ki shiv svayn vikrit roop men parvati ke pas jakar vivah ka prastav karate hain. vivah pakka ho jane par jab shiv barat lekar jate hain to parvati ki god men panch mukh vala ek balak khelata dikhaya jata hai. indr krodhit hokar use marane ke lie apana vajr uthate hain, parntu unaka hath utha ka utha rah jata hai. tab brahma dvara shiv ki stuti karane par indr ka hath thik hota hai. vivah sampann hota hai. lekin any kathaon men parvati svayn tapasya karake shiv ki svikriti prapt karati hain. yahan panch mukh vale balak se tatpary panch tattvon se hai. parvati svayn adya shakti ki pratik hain. shiv bhi svayn pnchamukhi hain. unaka hi bal roop parvati ki god men sthit dikhaya gaya hai.

isi prakar gngavataran ki katha bhi kuchh alag hai. isamen gautam rishi apane ashram men moorchchhit gay ko chaitany karane ke lie shiv ki stuti karake gnga ko shiv ki jataon se mukt karake late hain. tabhi gnga ko 'gautami' bhi kaha jata hai.

'brahm puran' men paramparagat tirthon ke atirikt kuchh aise tirthon ka bhi varnan hai, jinaka sthan khoj pana atyant kathin hai. udaharanarth kapot tirth, paishach tirth, kshudha tirth, chakr tirth, ganima sngam tirth, ahalya sngamendr tirth, shvet tirth, vriddha sngam tirth, rin pramochan tirth, sarasvati sngam tirth, revati sngam tirth, ram tirth, putr tirth, khadg tirth, anand tirth, kapila sngam tirth adi . ye sabhi tirth gautam rishi se sambandhit hain.

vichitr kathaain

in tirthon se judi bahut-si vichitr kathaon se yah puran bhara pada hai. kuchh kathaen upadesh parak hain aur kuchh betuki jan padati hain, jaise-sarama kutiya ki katha aur vriddha sngam tirth ki kathaen.

chakshu tirth ki katha men dharm paksh ka samarthan karane vala manikundal namak vaishy, mitr ke dvara thage jane par bhi ant men sabhi kasht door kar pane men saphal ho jata hai. is puran men 'yog' ke lie chitt ki ekagrata par bal diya gaya hai. keval padmasan lagakar baith jane se yog nahin hota. yogi ka man jab kisi karm men asakt nahin hota, tabhi use sachcha anand prapt hota hai. 'atmgyan' ko mahattv dete hue puranakar batata hai ki kam, krodh, lobh, moh, bhay aur svapn adi doshon ko tyag kar manushy apani indriyon ko vash men karake atmgyan prapt kar sakata hai. 'gyan yog' karm yog aur sankhy yog-donon se badhakar hai.

jis prakar jal men sncharan karane vala pakshi jal men lipt nahin hota, usi prakar atmayogi vyakti snsar men samast karm karate hue bhi videharaj janak ki bhanti karm men lipt nahin hota. bhagavan vishnu ke shrikrishn avatar ke sath sath is puran men vishnu ke dattatrey, parashuram aur shriram ke avataron ki katha bhi prapt hoti hai. snbhal men hone vale kalki avatar ka bhi ullekh is puran men hai. isake atirikt shraddh, pitrikalp, vidya-avidya adi ka varnan bhi is puran men prapt hota hain is puran men jitane vistar se gautami nadi ki mahima ka varnan hua hai, vaisa kisi any puran men upalabdh nahin hota. lagabhag adha puran gomati nadi ya godavari nadi ki pavitrata, divyata aur mahatta adi se bhara pada hai. gnga ko hi uttar men 'bhagirathi' aur dakshin men 'godavari' arthath 'gautami gnga' ke nam se pukara jata hai.

godavari ke udgam se lekar sagar men girane tak ke marg men tatavarti tirthon ka bada hi manohari, chitramay aur kavyamay chitran is puran men kiya gaya hai. un tirthon ke sath-sath rochak kathaen bhi judi huee hain, jaise- kapot-vyadh akhyan, anjana-kesari aur hanuman ka akhyan, dadhichi akhyan,sarama-pani akhyan, nagamata kadroo evn garud mata vinata ki katha adi. 'brahm puran' ke tirthon ka mukhy uddeshy gautami gnga ke mahattv ka pratipadan karana hi pratit hota hai.
