is upanishad ke prarambh men 'Omkar' ko hns ke roop men abhivyakt kiya hai aur usake vividh angon ka vishleshan kiya gaya hai. usake bad 'Om ' ki barah matraon ka ullekh karate hue unake sath pran ke viniyog (sambandh) ka phal sthapit kiya hai. taduparant anek prakaron aur sadhana ke dvara 'nad' anubhooti ke svaroop ko samajhaya gaya hai. ant men man ke lay hone ki sthiti ka varnan hain.

Omkar pranav-roop 'hns' hai

hns ka dakshin pnkh 'akar' hai aur uttar pnkh (bayan pnkh) 'ukar' hai tatha usaki poonchh 'makar' hai aur ardhamatra usaka shirshabhag hai. onkararoopi hns ke donon pair 'rajogun' evn 'tamogun' hain aur usaka sharir 'satogun' kaha gaya hai. usaki daeen ankh 'dharm hai aur baee ankh 'adharm' hai. hns ke donon pairon men bhoo-lok (prithivi) sthit hai. usaki jnghaon men bhuv:lok (antariksh) kendrit hai. sv:lok (svarg-oordhv) usaka kati pradesh hai aur mah:lok (anandalok) usaki nabhi men sthit hai. usake hridayasthal men janalok aur kanth men tapolok ka vas hai. lalat aur bhauhon ke madhy men 'satyalok' sthit hai. is prakar vidvanh sadhak pranav-roopi hns par asin hokar, arthath onkar ka gyan prapt kar karmanushthan tatha dhyan adi ke dvara 'Om' ka chintan-manan karata hua, sahastron-karondon papon se mukt hokar 'moksh' ko prapt kar leta hai.

Omkar ki barah matraen

onkar ki pratham matra agneyi hai, doosari matra vayavya (vayu ki bhanti) hai, tisari matra makar soory mandal ke saman hai, chauthi matra ardhamatra hai, jise varuni bhi kaha jata hai. in charon matraon men se pratyek matra ke tin-tin kal, arthath kala-roop hain. isilie Omkar ko barah kalaon se yukt kaha gaya hai. Omkar ki sadhana matr mantron ke uchcharan karane se poori nahin hoti. ise 'divy pran-roop' samajhakar apani anubhooti se janane ka prayas karana chahie.

in barah kalaon ki matraon men pratham matra ko ghoshini kaha gaya hai. doosari matra ko vidyunmatra, tisari ko patngi, chauthi ko vayuvegini, panchavin ko namadheya, chhathi se aindri, satavin ko vaishnavi, athavin ko shankari, nauvin ko mahati, dasavin ko dhriti, gyarahavin ko nari aur barahavin ko brahmi ke nam se jana jata hai. yadi sadhak Omkar ki pratham matra men apane pranon ka parityag kar deta hai, to vah bharatavarsh ka sarvabhaumik chakravarti samrat ho sakata hain. [1] yadi sadhak doosari matra men pranon ka utsarg karata hai, to vah mahanh mahimamandit 'yaksh' ke roop men utpann hota hai. tisari matra men pran tyagane par 'vidyadhar' ke roop men janm leta hai, chauthi matra men pran tyagane par vah 'gandharv' ke roop men, panchavin matra men 'tushit' tatha chhathi matra men devaraj indr ke 'sayujy pad' ko prapt karata hai. isi prakar satavin matra men bhagavan vishnu ke 'vaikunthadham' ko, athavin matra men pashupati bhagavan shiv ke 'rudralok' ko, navin matra men 'anandalok' ko, dasavin matra men 'janalok' ko, gyarahavin matra men 'tapolok' ko aur barahavin matra men pran tyagane par shashvat 'brahmalok' ko prapt karata hai. is param 'brahmalok' se hi agni, soory aur chandr adi jyotiyon ka pradurbhav hua hai. jab koee shreshth sadhak apane man ko niyantrit karake samast indriyon evn 'sat', 'raj' aur 'tam' adi tinon gunon se pare hokar 'paramatattv' men vilin ho jata hai, tab vah upamarahit, kalyanakari aur shant-svaroop ho jata hai. 'yogi' sadhak inhen hi kaha jata hai. [2] aisa sadhak athava yogi nirmal kaivaly pad ko prapt kar svayn hi paramatm svaroop ho jata hai aur brahm-bhav se asim anand ki anubhooti karata hai. at: kaha bhi hai- [3] he gyanavan purush! tum satat prayatn karate hue 'atma' ke svaroop ko pahachanane ka prayas karo. usi chintan men apane samay ko lagaon. prarabdh aur karmanusar jo bhi kasht athava kathinaiyan samane ayen, unhen bhogate hue khinn athava dukhi nahin hona chahie.

parabrahm ka 'nad' svaroop

'nad' dhvani ko kahate hain. Omkar-svaroop brahm ka atma ke sath tadatmy sthapit hote hi, shiv ke kalyanakari svayn prakash 'nad-roop' ki anubhooti hone lagati hai. abhyas dvara 'nad' ko anubhootijany banane ke lie yogi athava sadhak 'akar' aur 'makar' ko jitakar sampoorn 'Omkar' ko shanai:-shanai: atmasat kar leta hai aur 'turyavastha' ko prapt kar leta hai. abhyas ki prarambhik avastha men yah 'mahanad' (anahat dhvani) vibhinn svaron men sunaee padati hai. shanai:-shanai: abhyas se isake sookshm bhed spasht hone lagate hain. prarambh men yah dhvani samudr, megh, bheri tatha jharanon se utpann dhvaniyon ke saman sunaee padati hai. kuchh samay bad yah dhvani mridng, ghante aur nagade ki bhanti sunaee padati hai. ant men yah kinkini, vnshi, vina evn bhramar ki madhur dhvani ke saman sunaee padati hai. snyami purush ko chahie ki nad-shravan se bhinn vishay-vasanaon ko upekshit karake satat abhyas dvara man ko usi 'nad' men lagaye aur usi men raman karata rahe—[4] arthath yogi sadhak ko satat chintan karate hue samast chintaon ka parityag kar, sabhi tarah ko cheshtaon se man ko tatasth kar, us 'nad' ka hi anusandhan karate rahana chahie, kyonki isase chitt sahaj hi 'nad' men lay ho jata hai. jis prakar phoolon ka ras grahan karata hua bhramar, pushp-gandh ki apeksha nahin karata, usi prakar satat 'nad-lay' men dooba hua sadhak vishay-vasanaon ki akanksha nahin karata. vah ni:shabd ho jata hai aur usaka man paramabrahm ke paramatmatatattv ka anubhav karane lagata hai. jab tak nad hai, tabhi tak man ka astittv hai. nad ke samapan hone par man bhi 'aman,'arthath 'shoonyavat' ho jata hai- [5] is prakar satat nad ka abhyasarat yogi jagrat, svapn tatha sushapti adi avasthaon se mukt hokar sabhi prakar ki chintaon se mukt ho jata hai aur man-apaman se pare hokar samadhi dvara samast jad-sngam ka parityag kar 'brahmamay' ho jata hai-[6] 'nadabindoopanishad' ka yahi rahasyatmak gyan hai, jise sadhak ko sahaj bhav se grahan karana chahie.
