vedon dvara vihit karmon ke char prakar hain– nity, naimittik, kamy aur nishiddh. atharvaved men aihik phal pradan karane vale kamy karmon par vishesh bal diya gaya, jo sadharan manushy ke lie sabase adhik upadey hain. samriddhi ki abhilasha se kie jane vale karm agar paushtik kahalae, to ashubh nivaran tatha abhichar ke uddeshy se kie jane vale karmon ko shantik ki sngya prapt huee. ygy ke poorn nishpadan ke lie jin char ritvijon ki avashyakata hoti hai, unamen se brahma nam ke ritvikh se is ved ka sakshath sambandh hai. snhitaon tatha brahmanon ki vividh vidhiyon ke sar–granthon ke roop men prastut rachana ko kalpasootr ya snkshep men sootr kaha jata hai. gopath brahman ke anusar atharvaved ki shaunakiy jajal, jalad tatha brahmavad shakhaon ke anuvakon, richaon evn sookton ka viniyog batane vale panch moolabhoot sootr hain– 1. tntrashik, 2. vaitan, 3. nakshatrakalp, 4. shantikalp tatha angiras kalp athava abhichar kalp. vedakalin achary dharm ke ygy pradhan hone ke karan ygy karane ki paddhati par kamanaon ki saphalata nirbhar mani gee, jisase ygy vidhiyon men prayukt vastuon ka prayukt vastuon ka tatkalin vyavaharon se gahara sambandh raha. yah sambandh kal evn sthal par adharit brahman–sampradayon ki simit parivartaniyata ke sath–sath bharatiyon ke samajik, sanskritik evn dharmik itihas par rochak prakash dalata hai.

shraut karm

'vaitan sootr' atharvaved se sambaddh shraut yagon ki janakari dene vala ekamatr upalabdh, atev mahattvapoorn sootr hai. is shrautasootr ki ath adhyayon men vibhajit, 43 kandikaon men ye shraut karm batalae ge hain– darshapoornamas, agnyadhey, ukthy, shodashi, atiratr, vajapey, aptoryam, agnichayan, sautramani, gavamayan, rajasooy, ashvamedh, purushamedh, sarvamedh, ekah, ahin tatha kamanaon ke anusar any ygyon ka vidhan. prastut shrautasootr ki visheshata– 'homanadishtananumantrayate' arthath; vihit homon ke anumantran ko brahma ko saunpane men hai jo any shrautasootron ki tarah anumantran ka adhikar yajaman ko pradan nahin karata. brahma ke sabhi karttavy is shrautasootr ke pahale hi adhyay men darshapoornamas ygy ke vivaran men pratipadit hain. karta yani yajaman ka yadi prithakh nirdesh nahin hain, to sabhi brahma ke hi karttavy hain jinamen purastaddhom, snsthitahom tatha any koee ahutiyan sammilit hain. katipay yajushh mantron ko chhodakar brahma ke anumantran se sambaddh pray: sabhi mantr atharvaved men chhandobaddh pae jate hain.

ajyatantr tatha pakatantr

atharvan karm ke do tantr hain– ajyatantr tatha pakatantr. ajyatantr men ajy agar pradhan havi hota hai, to pakatantr men charupurodashadi ko pradhanata prapt hai. ajyatantr ke anushthan ka kram niyamanusar hai:– kartta ka vishisht mantr jap, barhirlavan, vedi, uttaravedi, agnipranayan, vratagrahan, pavitrakaran, pavitr ki sahayata se idhm prokshan, idhmopasamadhan, barhi:prokshan, brahma ka asan grahan, barhistaran, stirn vedi ka prokshan. isake pashchath kartta ka asanasth hona, udapatr sthapan, ajy snskar, struv grahan, grah grahan, purastath hom, ajyabhag evn abhyatan hom. yahin poorvatantr samapt hota hai. uttaratantr pradhan hom ke anantar hota hai jisake anushthan ka kram yah hai:–

abhyatan hom, parvan hom, samriddhi hom, sntati hom, svishtakrith hom, sarvaprayashchittiy hom, skann hom. 'punamaintvindiyamh' mantr ki sahayata se hom, skannasmriti hom, snsthit hom, chaturgrihit hom, barhi hom, snstrav hom, vishnukram, vrat visarjan, dakshinadan aur isake pashchath brahma ka nishkaran.

pakatantr men yahi kram hota hai, sirf abhyatan hom nahin kiya jata.[1]

hom

atharvan shrautakarm ki visheshata purastaddhom evn snsthit hom men hai. purastaddhom ki ahutiyan agar pradhan hom ke pahale di jati hai, to snsthit hom ki usake bad men. jis pradhan hom ke karan ye hom sampann hote hain, us hom ke mantron ki sahayata se bhi in ahutiyon ko dene ke katipay acharyon ke maton ka ullekh vaitan sootr ke pahale adhyay ki chauthi kandika men kiya gaya hai. yah kary brahma dvara sampann karana hai aur har ek ahuti ke bad bad 'janath' shabd ko jodana avashyak hai. prastut sootr ke shrautakarm men bhoo:, bhuv:, sv:, janath, vridhath, karath, mahath, nath, shamh aur omh; in vyahritiyon ke viniyog ka kathan bhi vaishishtyapoorn hai.

virishtadhan

namakaran

vaitan sootr ka namakaran snbhavat: usamen ae pratham sootr 'ath vitanasy' ke adhar par hua hai. isamen bhagali, yuvakaushik aur mathar prabhriti acharyon ke maton ka namna ullekh hua hai. isamen shaunakiy atharvaved snhita ke 20ven kand men ullikhit mantron ka pramukh adhar liya gaya hai. garbe ke anusar isamen rigved ka 16 bar, vajasaneyiyon ka 34 bar tatha taittiriy shakhiyon ka 19 bar nirdesh hai. kaushik sootr ke sath isaka anek sandarbhon men sadrishy hai. udaharan ke lie donon hi poorvavarnit bat ko shlok se pusht karate hain– 'tadapi shlokau vadat:' ya 'athapi shlokau bhavat:'. sookton tatha richaon ko gan ke roop men nirdisht karane ki paripati bhi donon men saman roop se milati hai. vaitan sootr ke bhashyakar somadity apane akshepanuvidhi sngyk bhashy men donon ko ek hi vyakti ki rachana manate pratit hote hain.
