yah bhi shukl yajurvediy upanishad hai. isamen kul char adhyay hain. isamen rishi paingal aur maharshi yagyvalky ke prashnottar ke madhyam se param kaivaly (brahm) ka rahasy varnit hain.

pratham adhyay

is adhyay men 'srishti ke srijan' ka bada hi vaigyanik aur spasht vivechan kiya gaya hai. rishi yagyvalky ne paingal rishi ko bataya ki poorv men keval 'sat' hi tha. vahi nity, mukt, avikari, saty, gyan aur anand se poorit sanatan ekamatr advait brahm hai. vah apane bhitar vilin sampoorn jagath ka avirbhav karane vala hai. hiranyagarbh men nivas karane vale us 'brahm' ne apani vishesh shakti se, tamogun vali ahnkar namak sthool shakti ko prakat kiya. usamen jo pratibimbit hai, vahi virat chaitany hai. usi ne pnchatattvon ke roop men apane apako prakat kiya v unase anant koti brahmandon aur lokon ki srishti ki. pnchabhooton ke rajogunayukt ansh se char bhag karake tin bhagon se panch prakar ke 'pranon' ka srijan kiya aur chauthe ansh se 'karmondriyan' banayin. isi prakar pnchabhooton ke satogun yukt ansh ko char bhagon men vibhajit karake usake tin bhagon se pnchavrityatmak' ant:karan' banaye au chauthe ansh se 'gyanendriyon' ka srijan kiya hai. usane apani sattv samashti se panchon indriyon ke palak devataon ka nirman kiya aur unhen brahmandon men sthapit kar diya. brahmand men sthit devagan us brahm ki ichchha ke bina spandanahin hi bane rahe. tab us brahm ne unhen chaitany kiya. vah svayn brahmand, brahmarandhr aur samast vyashti ke mastak ko vidirn karake usi men pravesh kar gaya. unake chaitany hote hi sabhi karm men pravritt ho gaye. yah chetana-shakti hi 'atm-shakti' kahalaee. ise hi 'jiv' kaha gay.

doosara adhyay

  • paingal rishi ne poochha-'samast lokon ki srishti, unaka palan aur ant karane vala eeshvar kis prakar jiv-bhav ko prapt hota hai?'
  • yagyvalky ne uttar diya-'sthool, sookshm aur karan sharir ka nirman pnchikrit pnch mahabhooton-prithvi, jal, agni, vayu aur akash dvara kiya gaya hai. prithvi se kapal, charm, asthi, mans aur nakhoon adi bane, jal se rakt, mootr, lar, pasina adi bana, agni se bhookh-pyas, ushnata, moh, maithun adi bane, vayu se chalana (gati) uthana-baithana, shvas adi bane aur akash se kam, krodh adi bane. sabake samuchchay ka sthool roop 'sharir' hai.'
  • rishi ne age bataya ki apnjikrit mahabhooton ke rajogun ansh se tin bhagon men 'pran' ka srijan kiya gaya. pran, apan, vyan, udan aur saman- ye panch 'pran' hain. nag, koorm, krikar, devadatt aur dhannjay- panch 'upapran' hain. hriday, asan(mooladhar), nabhi, kanth aur sarvang us pran ke sthan hain. akash adi pnchamahabhooton ke rajogun yukt ansh ke chauthe bhag se karmendriyon ka nirman kiya. isake satv ansh ke chauthe bhag se panch gyanendriyon ka nirman kiya.
  • dishaen, vayu,soory, varun, ashvinikumar, agni, indr, upendr, yam, chandr, vishnu, brahma aur shiv adi sabhi devagan in indriyon ke svami hain.
  • isake uparant 'annamay, 'pranamay,' 'manomay,' 'vigyanamay' aur 'anandamay' ye panch kosh hain. eeshvar sharir men sthit hokar inhin samast indriyon, koshon aur pranatattv ke dvara jiv ka palan karata hai. mrityu ke uparant ye sabhi kriyaen nasht ho jati hain aur jiv usi paramatma ka ansh banakar pun: paramatma ki divy jyoti men sama jata hai.

tisara adhyay

is adhyay men paingal rishi ne mahavakyon ka vivaran samajhane ke lie kaha, to yagyvalky ne kaha ki 'vah tum ho' (tattvamasi)', 'tum vah ho' (tvn tadasi), 'tum brahm ho' (tavn brahmasi), 'main brahm hoon' (ahn brahmasmi) ye mahavaky hain.

  • 'tatvamasi'- se sarvgy, mayavi, sachchidanand, jagath yoni arthath mool karan avyakt eeshvar ka bodh hota hai.
  • 'tattvamasi' aur 'ahn brahmasmi' ke arth par vichar karana shravan kahalata hai. shravan kiye arth ka ekant men anusandhan manan kahalata hai. donon ke dvara ekagratapoorvak chitt ka sthapan nididhyasan kahalata hai. jab chittavritti keval dhyey men sthir ho jaye, tab vah avastha samadhi kahalati hai. 'brahm' ka sakshatkar hote hi yogi jivanmukt ho jata hai.

chautha adhyay

is adhyay men 'gyaniyon ke karmon' ke vishay men prashn kiya gaya hai. usake uttar men rishi yagyvalky kahate hain ki 'indriy' aur 'man' se yukt hokar hi yah 'atma' bhokta ban jata hai. isake bad hriday men sakshat narayan pratishthit hote hain. yah sharir nashavan hai. isaka moh vyarth hai. at: jab tak is sharir ke sath sansarik upadhiyan judi hain, tab tak gyani vyakti ko guru ki seva karani chahie. gyanamrit se tript yogi ke lie koee kartavy shesh nahin rah jata. yadi koee kartavy shesh hai, to vah tattvavidh nahin hai. jab gyan ke dvara deh men sthit abhiman nasht ho jata hai aur buddhi akhand srishti men lin ho jati hai, tab gyani purush 'brahmgyan-roopi' agni se samast karm-bandhanon ko bhasm kar deta hai. gyani kahin bhi aur kaise bhi mrityu ko prapt kare, vah har sthiti men 'brahm' men lay ho jata hai.
main brahm hoon (ahamh brahmaasmi) yahi bhav mahatma purushon ke moksh ka adhar hai. bandhan aur moksh ke karan-roop, ye do pad hain. 'yah mera hai,' 'bandhan' hai aur 'yah mera nahin hai', 'moksh' hai. jab dvait bhav samapt ho jata hai, tabhi paramapad prapt hota hai. jo yah nahin janata, usaki mukti akash men mushtiprahar ke saman hai. jo is upanishad ka path karata hai, vah agni, vayu, adity, brahm, vishnu aur rudr ke saman pavitr hota hai. use das sahastr 'pranav' (onkar) nam ke jap ka phal prapt hota hain. gyani jan vishvavyapi bhagavan vishnu ke paramapad ke dyulok men vyapt divy prakash ki bhanti dekhate hain-

is prakar brahmanishth jivan-yapan karane vale gyani purush pramadadi se rahit hokar sadaiv shreshth karm karane vale vishnu ke paramapad ko prapt karate hain. is upanishad ka yahi sar tattv hai.
