taittiriy shakha ke chhah shrautasootr hain:– baudhayan, bharadvaj, apastamb, satyashadh (hiranyakeshi), vaikhanas aur vadhool. inamen baudhayan ka sthan pratham hai. satyashadh shrautasootr ke prarambhik ansh par mahadev ka ‘vaijayanti’ sngyk bhashy hai, jisake mngal shlokon men unhonne taittiriy shakha ke sootrakaron ko pranam kiya hai–

uparyukt padvon men vaijayantikar mahadev ne taittiriy shakha ke baudhayan, bharadvaj, apastamb, hiranyakeshi, vaikhanas, vadhool – in sootrakaron ka kram se nirdesh karake unhen pranam kiya hai. inamen baudhayan ka nam pratham hai.[1] aur any nam; vadhool ko chhodakar, aitihasik kram se bhi yukt hain. pahala nam bodhayan aur baudhayan – in do prakaron se hi likha gaya hai. vyakaran ki drishti se 'budh' shabd se gotrapatyadarshak baudhayan shabd siddh hota hai tab adivriddhi hoti hai, kintu prachin kal se bodhayan shabd hi sarvatr roodh hai.

in acharyon men bharadvaj se vadhool tak sootrakar kahalate hain, jabaki bodhayan ko pravachanakar ki sngya di gee hai.[2] achary shishyon ko snbodhit karake pravachan karata hai, jabaki sootrakar sootr–pranayan karata hai. sootrakar ke sammukh shishy upasthit nahin hote. vastav men hi baudhayan shrautasootr pravachan hi hai. usamen vistar hai, jabaki sootron ki rachana snkshipt hoti hai. vishay ke punarukt hone par bhi bodhayan snkshep nahin karate. bich–bich men vidhi ki pushti ke lie brahman vakyon ko uddhrit karate hain. aisa pratit hota hai jaise ki samane baithe hue shishyon ko samajhane ke lie achary har prakar se prayas kar rahe hon. avashyakata hone par abhinay ke dvara bhi vah kisi bat ko spasht karate hain. agnyadhan ke avasar par ahavaniy agni ki sthapana ke lie garhapaty agni se prajvalit kashth ko vah hath men pakad lete hain aur us kashth ko kram se oopar lete hain. pravachanakar ka prashn hai– 'ityagney harati arthavati arthayati.' is prakar apana dahina hath ooncha karake vah adhvaryu dvara ki jane vali vidhi batalate hain.

taittiriy shakha ki snhita

yadyapi bodhayan ke samay men taittiriy shakha ki snhita, brahman aur aranyak ka path sunishchit tha, to bhi sootr men bahusnkhyak mantr sakal path ke roop men uddhrit hain. is shakha ke any sootron men mantr pratik roop men pradarshit hain. baudhayan ke samay taittiriy shakha ka path supratishthit tha, isake anek praman sootr men milate hain. jab poorvapar mantron ka viniyog apekshit hai, tab pahale pratik uddhrit karake 'ityanuhrity' kahakar doosare mantr ka pratik path diya jata hai. agni–chayan–prakaran men jab agnichiti ki rachana poori hoti hai, tab chiti ke uttar paksh men antim ishtaka par taittiriy snhitagat rudradhyay[3] ke mantrochcharan ke sath ajakshir kar abhishek kiya jata hai. age chalakar any mantron[4] se vasordhara ki santat ahuti di jati hai. yahan keval snhita ke antargat anuvakon ka nirdesh kiya jata hai.

yajurved

yajurved adhvaryu–ved hai. ygy men adhvaryu aur usake sahayakon ke kary ka vivaran yajurved aur usase sambaddh granthon men milata hai. yadyapi ygy, vishesh roop se somayag men char pradhan ritvijh hote hain, to bhi unamen adhvaryu ka kary adhik mahattvapoorn hota hai. sayanachary ne taittiriy snhita–bhashy ke upodghat men likha hai ki tin vedon men se yajurved bhittisthaniy hai. yadi bhitti n ho to chitr kahan ankit kiya jae? yajurvediy sahity men adhvaryu ke sath hi yajaman aur brahma namak ritvik ka kary bhi niroopit hai.

sootr–rachana

yah kaha ja chuka hai ki baudhayan sootr pravachan roop men hai. shishy ke prashn poochhane par achary usaka vivaran dete hain, isalie is sootr men prakaran ko ‘prashn’ sngya di gee hai. kathan ka tatpary yadyapi vidhyartharoop hai, tathapi sootr–rachana men vartaman kal ka prayog kiya gaya hai. pray: sabhi sootr granthon men yahi shaili svikrit hai. vistrit vivaran ke phalasvaroop samagr vidhi spasht ho jati hai. han; jahan paribhashik pad ate hain, vahan subodhata ke lie any sadhan avashyak hote hain. pravachan hone ke karan isamen sootrachchhed nahin batalaya gaya hai. sootr to hain hi nahin, kintu subodhata ke lie sampadak ne vaky ke ant men oopari or rekha di hai. pratyek mantr ya mantr samooh poora–poora diya gaya hai. darsheshti men poorv din anushthan ka arambh hota hai aur doosare din pray: ishti samapt hoti hai. poornamaseshti bhi do dinon men vibhakt hoti hai, chahane par ek din men bhi poori vidhi ki ja sakati hai. isamen char ritvijh hote hain aur rigved tatha yajurved se hi kary sampann ho jata hai.

agnyadhey

doosare prashn men agnyadhey ka vivaran hai. brahman, kshatriy aur vaishy in tinon varnon ko shrautagniyon ki sthapana karane ka moolat: adhikar hai. vishesh yogyata vale nishad sthapati ko bhi ygy karane ka adhikar hai. yajaman apane ghar ke ek paksh men agnishala ki yojana karata hai tatha shulb sootrokt niyamon ke anusar agnyayatan aur vedi banaee jati hai. agni–sthapana ke lie vishesh mas aur nakshatr vihit hain. isamen grihasth hi adhikrit hain. yajurved ke sabhi shrautasootron men agnyadhey ki vidhi varnit hai, kintu baudhayanokt vidhi men kuchh visheshataen hain. yajaman jab somayag karata hai, tab use apane nivas se door nadi ya jalashay ke pas vistrit devayajan bhoomi ki ygy ke lie avashyakata hoti hai. somayag ke lie solah ritvijon ka chayan kiya jata hai. baudhayan sootr men agnyadhey ke avasar par hi devayajanayachan aur ritvigvaran karane ki vidhi hai. usamen kuchh vidhiyan aisi bhi hain jo baudhayan sootr ke sath hi

agnyadhey vidhi ki prachinata bhi batalati hain. agnyadhey vidhi ke pahale din gopitriygy karane ka vidhan hai, jo any sootron men pratipadit nahin hai. taittiriy shakha men to usaka adhar hi nahin hai. yah grihyakarmon men vihit shraddh ka prachin roop hai aur ek vaishishty poorn vidhi baudhayanokt agnyadhey ke sambandh men batalaee gee hai. baudhayan shrautagniyon ki sthapana ke poorv yajaman ki antarbahy shuddhi ke samarthak hain. isake lie unhonne anek upay batae hain. 'papmano vinidhay:' unamen se ek hai. yajaman ke antarik aur bahy papon tatha vikaron ko any tadvishisht vastuon aur praniyon men prasthapit kiya jata hai. etadarth sngrahit mantr ('sinhe me manyu:' tatha 'vyaghre meantaramay: prabhriti') hi 'papmano vinidhay:' kahalate hain. ye keval baudhayan shrautasootr men hi hain. agnyadhan ki yah visheshata hai ki usamen samagan hota hai. vaise to samagan somayag men hota hai, jahan tinon samagayak shastr–shnsan se poorv vihit stotr gate hain. inamen se pratyek samagayak apane–apane ansh ka gayan karata hai. kintu somayag se poorv agnyadhan vidhi men akele udgata hi poora sam gata hai.

punaradhan ka vidhan

'drishadhyayik' sngyk tritiy prashn ke pratham adhyay men, jisamen ki tin khand hain, punaradhan ka vidhan hai. shrautagniyon ki sthapana ke anantar ek varsh ki avadhi men yadi yajaman apattigrast ho jae, to yah manyata thi ki usake lie labhakarak nahin siddh hua. at: use pun: agni–sthapana karani chahie. etadarth brahman granthon men punaradhey vidhi vihit hai. isamen ve hi padarth prayojy hain, jinhen jirn hone ke karan naya roop diya gaya ho.

agnihotr ka vidhan

chhah khandon vale dvitiy tatha tritiy adhyayon men agnihotr ka vidhan hai. shrautagniyon ki sthapana ke pashchath yajaman din men do bar sooryast aur sooryoday ke samay agniyon men svayn athava purohit ke madhyam se ahutiyon ka prakshep karata hai. samanyat: ye ahutiyan gay ke doodh ki hoti hain. isake lie yajaman ek vishesh agnihotri gay ka palan karata hai. agnihotrajany ahutiyon ke lie any dravyon ke vikalp bhi hain. sanyakalik agnihotr ke pashchath yajaman devataon ka upasthan karata hai. ahitagni yajaman hone ke lie patni sahit vishisht niyamon ka palan karana padata hai. kisi karyavash akele athava patni ke sath pravas par jate aur vapas ate samay vah apani agniyon ki prarthana karata hai. ye niyam 'pravasavidhi' nam se chhathe adhyay ke do khandon men snkalit hain.

agrayaneshti

vaidik dharm men amavasya parv men pitaron ki pooja vihit hai. grihasth purush us din aur any avasaron par bhi smartt sootranusar shraddh karata hai. ahitagni vyakti ko amavasya ke din aparahn kal men pindapitriygy karana chahie. baudhayan ne chaturth adhyay ke do khandon men usaki vidhi bataee hai. panchave adhyay (isamen keval ek khand hai– 1) men agrayaneshti ka vivaran hai. is ishti ka sambandh navin dhany se hai. pahale devataon ko navin dhany ki ahuti dekar tab usaka apane ahar men upayog kiya jae, yah vichar is ishti ke svaroop men nihit hai. varshakal men shyamak dhany utpann hota hai. isaka yag devataon ke lie kiya jata hai. sharad ritu men vrihyagrayan tatha basant men yavagrayan ki ishti ki jati hai.

adhvaryu aur yajaman

darshapoornamaseshti (jisaka vidhan pratham prashn men hai...) men adhvaryu aur yajaman ki vishesh bhoomika hai. sataven aur athaven adhyayon men yajaman ka karttavy bataya gaya hai. brahma namak ritvik ke karttavy char khandon vale navam adhyay men pradarshit hain. dasham adhyay men hautr (jo mukhyat: rigved ke kshetr men ata hai) ka avashyak vivaran hai.

pashubandh

chauthe prashn men pashubandh ka vivaran hai. yah prashn tin adhyayon aur 11 khandon men vibhakt hai. pashubandh ka hi namantar niroodh pashubandh bhi hai. isaka sakshath vivaran taittiriy snhita men nahin hai. agnishtom kratu ke angaroop men agnishomiy pashuyag upavasath ke din anushthey hai. isake devata agni aur som hain, jabaki niroodh pashubandh ke devata indragni hai.

chaturmasy yag

panchaven prashn men chaturmasy yag ka vivaran hai. vastav men, taittiriy shakha men yah yag rajasooy ke angaroop men vihit hai. vahan se lekar sootr men usaka anushthan prithakh roop se diya gaya hai. is prashn men chhah adhyay aur 18 khand hain. chaturmasy yag char parvon men vihit hain–

  • vaishvadev,
  • varun praghas,
  • sakamedh aur
  • shunasiriy.

pratham parv ke char mason ke anantar doosare parv ka anushthan hota hai. snvatsar ke ant men shunasiriy parv kiya jata hai. is yag ke anushthanarth chhah ritvijon ki avashyakata hoti hai. ye sabhi yag agnishtom namak prakriti–bhoot somayag ke poorv kie jate hain, isalie in sabako 'praksom' vibhag ya prakaran ki sngya di gee hai. inake pashchath tin prashnon (6–8) men agnishtom ka vivaran hai, jisaka adhar taittiriy snhita men hai. isamen pradhan dravy som hai, solah ritvik hote hain jo jo hotri, adhvaryu, udgatri aur brahm sngyk ganon men vibhakt hain. is prakaran men unake karyon ka vivaran hai. brahmagan ke char ritvijon ke lie ved sambandhi koee niyam nahin hai. han, brahma ko tinon vedon ka gyan hona avashyak hai. kisi bhi anushthan men truti hone par prayashchitt ka adhikari vahi hai.

somayag ke pradhan anushthan ke poorv anushthan ke poorv yajaman diksha grahan karata hai. diksha dinon ki snkhya somayag ke mahattv par nirbhar hai. kam se kam ek din diksha ka hona chahie. age upasadh din hote hain, jinaki nyoonatam snkhya tin hoti hai. tadanantar upavasath aur bad men sutya din. pratham divas prarambhik siddhata ka hai aur yajaman tatha usaki patni ki diksha hoti hai. doosare din som vanaspati ka snpadan hota hai. doosare, tisare aur chauthe dinon men pratidin prat: aur aparahn kal men pravargy aur upasadh namak karm hote hain. mahavedika aur shalaon ka nirman hota hai. agnishomiy pashu–yag hota hai. panchaven din, oosha kal se lekar ratri tak vidhiyan chalati rahati hain jo char vibhagon men vibhakt hoti hain– prat: savan, madhyandin savan, tritiy savan aur ygypuchchh. tinon savanon men somaras ka srijan, savaniy pashu–yag, dakshina dan adi kie jate hain. somaras se bhare hue grahon aur chamason ka yag stotragan aur shastr–shnsan ke sath hota hai. ygypuchchh men anushthan ka upasnhar hota hai. agnishtomagat pravargy namak karm, jo tin dinon men chhah bar hota hai, ka poora vivaran 9ven prashn men hai.

agni chayan

10ven prashn men agni–chayan ki vidhi vistar se upavarnit hai. somayagagat uttaravedi ke sthan men ishtakaon ki panch chitiyan ek ke oopar doosari ke kram se rachi jati hain. is chiti par ahavaniyagni ki pratishthapana karake usamen somayagadi sampann kie jate hain. agni–chayan ek vistrit karm hai, at: ise yag nahin kaha ja sakata.

vajapey

11ven prashn men vajapey ka vivaran hai. yah ek ekah somayag hai. isamen 17 rathon ki shakati hoti hai jo yajaman janita hai. yajaman aur usaki patni svargarohan ka abhinay aur bhavana karate hain. yajaman ka abhishek hota hai. kshobh ke sath soora ka bhi prakampan hota hai. brahman aur rajany is yag ke adhikari hain. vajapey ji ko bada samman prapt hota hai.

rajasooy

12ven prashn men rajasooy ka vivaran hai. is ygy ka adhikari raja mana gaya hai. isamen anek ishtiyan aur somayag sammilit hain. anek prakar ki jalarashi se yajaman ka abhishek hota hai. rajyadhikar ke anukool kuchh vidhiyan isamen samavisht hain. samanyat: ek varsh se adhik kal tak isaka anushthan chalata hai.

kamy ishti

13ven prashn men anek kamy ishtiyon ka vivaran hai.

aupanuvaky

14ven prashn ka vishay hai aupanuvaky. isaka adhar taittiriy snhita ka tisara kand hai jo aupanuvaky hi kahalata hai. isamen mantr–brahman mishrit anek vishay hain. chauthe vaishvadev kand men jo vishay antarbhoot hain, unamen ek hai aupanuvaky, arthath sarasvatapath[5] ki taittiriy snhita ka sampoorn tisara kand. is kand men kram se jo vishay ae hain, chahe ve mantr hon ya brahman, unaka usi kram se vivaran baudhayan sootr ke 14ven prashn men hai. at: usaka svaroop any prashnon se bhinn hai. svabhavik tha ki isamen brahman ansh kuchh adhik praman men uddhrit hota. isase spasht hai ki baudhayan ke samay men taittiriy shakha ka arshey path supratishthit tha. satyashadh prabhriti any grihyasootron men arshey path ke chhah, char ya nau kand mane ge hain.

ashvamedh

15ven prashn men ashvamedh ka vivaran hai. 16ven prashn men dvadashah, gavamayan aur ahin kratuon se sambaddh samagri hai. dvadashah ahin aur satr prakar se ubhayavidh hota hai. ahinaroop ho to ek hi yajaman hota hai. satraroop hone par ritvik hi usake sahabhagi yajaman hote hain. inhin men se ek ko grihapati ka sthan dekar kary karane ko kaha jata hai. gavamayan snvatsarasatr hai. snvatsarasatron ki vah prakriti hai. kamy, ahin kratuon ka vivaran bhi is prashn men hai. do se lekar sahastraratr tak ahin kratuon ki vidhiyan snkshep men bataee gee hain.

uttaratati:

17ven aur 18ven prashnon ko 'uttaratati:' kaha gaya hai. 17ven prashn men bahut se vishay ae hain, jaise atiratr, ekadashini, satron aur ayanon ke prakar, sautramani ityadi. anyatr grihyakarmon men antarbhoot samavartan vidhi bhi uttaratati men varnit hai. 18ven prashn men kamy ekah kratuon ka vivaran hai.

kathak chayan

19ven prashn men kathak chayan upavarnit hai. panch kathak vachanon men char ka adhar taittiriy brahman men aur ek ka aranyak men nihit hai.

dvaidh

20ven se 23ven tak ke char prashn 'dvaidh' ke nam se jane jate hain. yah baudhayan sootr ki visheshata hai. dvaidhasootr men un vidhiyon ke vishay men vibhinn maton ka sngrah hai, baudhayaniy parampara men jinake bhinn sampraday the. arambh men moolasootr ka sandarbh dekar us vishay men jitane acharyon ke vibhinn mat hain, unaka nirdesh hai. dvaidhasootr men jin vibhinn acharyon ke mat pradarshit hain, ve ye hain– anjigavi, atrey, arttabhagiputr, aupamanyav, aupamanyaviputr, bhashy, kaunapatantri, gautam, jyayanh katyayan, dakshinakar, rathitar, dirghavatsy, baudhayan, mangal, maitrey, maudgaly, vadhoolak aur shaliki. dvaidhasootr men kuchh aise sthal hain jinaka mool sootr baudhayan sootr men nahin milata hai. tin prashn (24–26) 'karmantasootr' ke nam se prasiddh hain. moolasootr men jo ansh kisi karan adhoora raha, usaki is vibhag men poorti ki gee hai.

paribhasha

24ven prashn ke arambhik khandon men aise vishay ae hain, jinhen paribhasha kaha ja sakata hai.

prayashchitt sootr

27ven se 29ven tak ke tin prashn prayashchitt sootr hain. inamen agnihotr se lekar satr tak sabhi vidhiyon ke sambandh men prayashchitt sngrahit hain. naimittiki vidhi bhi isi men samavisht hai.

shulbasootr

30van prashn shulbasootr hai aur usake pashchath pravarasootr hai, jisaki prashn snkhya nahin di gee hai.

shakhagat kram

taittiriy shakha, jisase baudhayan shrautasootr ka sambandh hai, sootr rachana se poorv supratishthit thi. sootrakar ne mantron ko shakhagat kram se uddhrit kiya hai. brahman vakyon ko uddhrit karate samay vah 'ath vai yajati' shabd dete hain, kintu taittiriy brahman ke dvitiy kand ke saptam prapathak (achchhidr kand) ka koee ansh baudhayan sootr men uddhrit nahin kiya gaya hai. kandanukram ke anusar chaturth vaishvadev kand men 'achchhidrani' antarbhoot hai. taittiriy brahman[6] men darshapoornamaseshti ka hautr sngrahit hai, jisaka viniyog baudhayan sootr men pradatt hai. apani shakha se to baudhayan ekanishth hai hi, sath hi kathak shakha ka bhi kuchh prabhav unaki rachana par pratit hota hai. is shakha ke kuchh mantron ka viniyog baudhayan ne diya hai. baudhayan sootr tandyamahabrahman, shadavinsh brahman, paingalayani brahman, chhagaley brahman tatha rigved prabhriti ke bhi sandarbh milate hain.[7] anek samon ka bhi nirdesh hai.

vaividhy

baudhayan kalpasootr men shulb sootr ke ant tak 32 prashn pariganit hain, kintu mudrit sootr men unaki snkhya 30 hai. baudhayan shrautasootr ke hastalekhon men pathakram ke vaividhy ka anubhav hota hai. kisi hastalekh men prashn agnishtom se poorv aur kisi men pashchath. sautramani yag do prakar ka hai– charak aur kaukili. vidyaman sootr men kaukili hai hi nahin. baudhayan shrautasootr ke bhashyakar bhavasvami ne likha hai ki baudhayan shrautasootr ka kaukili sautramaniparak ansh nasht ho gaya hai. usake poorv astitv ke praman sootr men bhi hain. baudhayan shrautasootr ki bhasha–shaili bhasha ke sadrish hai. baudhayan shrautasootr ke sampadak daau. kaland ne isaka vistrit adhyayan prastut kiya hai.

bhavasvami ka bhashy

baudhayan shrautasootr ke 1 se 26 prashnon par bhavasvami ka bhashy hai. yah bhag snkshipt hai aur usake hastalekh atyant doshapoorn hain. ab tak yah aprakashit hai. ni:sndeh isaka prakashan baudhayan shrautasootr ke adhyayan men ativ labhadayak hoga. sayanachary ka bhi is sootr ke pratham prashn par bhashy upalabdh hai. yah prakashit bhi hua hai. dasham prashn (agnichayanaparak) par vasudev dikshitakrit 'mahagnisarvasv' sngyk bhashy hai, jo upadey hai. 17ven prashnagat ekadashini par bhi ek bhashy hai. karmantasootr par venkateshvar ka bhashy upalabdh hai. 27ven se 29ven tak ke prashnon par bhi bhashy milata hai. shulbasootr par dvarakanath yajvanh ka bhashy mudrit hi hai. tnjaoor ke mahadev vajapeyi ne pratham ath prashnon par 'subodhini' namni vistrit tika rachi hai jo abhi tak aprakashit hai. keshav svami ne baudhayan shrautasootranusar anek yagon ke prayog likhe hain jo hastalekhon ke roop men surakshit hain. ye yaganushthan karane vale ritvijon ke lie bahut hi upayogi hain. yon bhi keshav svami ke vay men sarvashakhiy vaidikon men atyant adarabhav raha hai. 17vin shatabdi ke anantadev ne bhi anek shrautaprayog aur baudhayan shakhaparak granth likhe hain. anantadev ke ashrayadata the himachal pradesh ke raja bajabahadur. maharashtriy sheshakul ke brahmanon ne bhi jo 16vin shati men varanasi chale ge the, anek shrautayagon ke prayog likhe.
