shukl yajurvediy is upanishad men brahm, eeshvar, jiv, prakriti, jagat, gyan v karm adi ka sundar vivachen kiya gaya hai. is upanishad men kitane hi prashn uthaye gaye hain, yatha-brahm kya hai? eeshvar kaun hai? jiv, prakriti, paramatma, brahma, vishnu, rudr, indr, soory, yam, chandr adi devagan kaun hain? asur-pishach kaun hai? manushy, stri, pashu adi kya hain? jati, karm-akarm kya hain? gyan-agyan kya hai? sukh-du:kh kya hai. svarg-narak, bandhan aur mukti kya hai? shishy,vidvanh aur moorkh kaun hain? tap aur param pad kya hai? snnyasi kaun hai? adi-adi. in prashnon ka uttar is upanishad men diya gaya hai. mahanh tattv, ahamh, prithvi, jal, agni, vayu, akash, samast brahmand ko dharan karane vala, karm aur gyan ko dene vala, nam, roop aur upadhiyon se rahit, sarvashaktiman, adi-antavihin, shuddh, shiv, shant, nirgun aur anirvachaniy tejasvi chaitany svaroop brahm, paramatma tatha eeshvar kahalata hai. jab vah chaitany-svaroop 'brahm' anek devi-devataon tatha laukik shariron ki bhinnata men jivani-shakti ke roop men apane apako abhivyakt karata hai, tab yah 'jiv' kahalane lagata hai. brahm ki prerana se chitr-vichitr snsar ko rachane vali shakti prakriti kahalati hai. kaha bhi hai- yah vishv hi 'brahm' hai, isake atirikt kuchh bhi nahin hai-

  • sarvn khalvidn brahm neh nanasti kinchan॥9॥ sharir ka charm, rakt, mans, asthiyan, 'atma' nahin hotin. isi bhanti indriyon dvara ki jane vali kriyaon ko karm kahate hain. 'brahm' dvara nirmit vibhinn jiv-roopon men bhed manana agyan kahalata hai. sat-chit-anand-svaroop paramatma ke gyan se jo anandapoorn sthiti banati hai, vahi sukh hai. nashvar vishayon ka vichar karana du:kh kahalata hai. saty aur satsng ka samagam hi svarg hai. aur nashvar snsar ke moh-bandhan men pade rahana hi narak hai. 'main hoon' ka vichar hi bandhan hai. sabhi prakar ka yog, varn aur ashram-vyavastha tatha dharm-karm ke snkalp bhi bandhan-svaroop hain. moksh par vichar karana, atmagunon ka snkalp, ygy, vrat, tap, dan adi ka vidhi-vidhan adi bhi bandhan ke hi roop hain.

jab sabhi nity-anity, sukh-du:kh, moh-mamata adi nasht ho jayen, tab us sthiti ko moksh kahate hain. jisake hriday men brahmaroop gyan hi shesh rah jaye, use shishy aur atmatattv ke vigyanamay svaroop ko janane vala vidvanh athava guru hota hai. jo 'main hi karata hoon' ya 'mainne kiya hai' bhav se lipt rahata hai, vah moorkh hai. 'brahm satyn jaganmithya' ke bhav ko dharan karake ki jane vali sadhana, tap kahalati hai. pran, indriy, ant:karan adi se bhinn sachchidanandasvaroop aur nity, mukt, brahm ka sthan paramapad kaha jata hai. jo samast dharmon tatha karmon men mamata evn ahnkar ka parityag karake 'brahm' ki sharan men jakar usi ko sab kuchh samajhata hai, vah sadhak ya purush snnyasi kahalata hai. vahi mukt, poojy, yogi, paramahns, avadhoot aur brahman hota hai. usaka punararvatan nahin hota. yahi is upanishad ka rahasy hai. 'niravalamb, 'arthath brahm ke atirikt kisi any ke adhin jo nahin hota, vahi 'moksh' ka adhikari hota hai.
