lakshmi, sarasvati aur gnga narayan ke nikat nivas karati thin. ek bar gnga ne narayan ke prati anek kataksh kiye. narayan to bahar chale gaye kintu isase sarasvati rusht ho gayi. sarasvati ko lagata tha ki narayan gnga aur lakshmi se adhik prem karate hain. lakshmi ne donon ka bich-bachav karane ka prayatn kiya. sarasvati ne lakshmi ko nirvikar jadavath maun dekha to jad vriksh athava sarita hone ka shap diya. sarasvati ko gnga ki nirlajjata tatha lakshmi ke maun rahane par krodh tha. usane gnga ko papi jagat ka pap sametane vali nadi banane ka shap diya. gnga ne bhi sarasvati ko mrityulok men nadi banakar janasamuday ka pap prakshalan karane ka shap diya. tabhi narayan bhi vapas a pahunche. unhonne sarasvati ka arligan kar use shant kiya tatha kaha—“ek purush anek nariyon ke sath nirvah nahin kar sakata. paraspar shap ke karan tinon ko ansh roop men vriksh athava sarita banakar mrityulok men prakat hona padega. lakshmi! tum ek ansh se prithvi par dharm-dhvaj raja ke ghar ayonisnbhava kanya ka roop dharan karogi, bhagy-dosh se tumhen vrikshatv ki prapti hogi. mere ansh se janme asurendr shnkhachood se tumhara panigrahan hoga. bharat men tum ‘tulasi’ namak paudhe tatha padamavati namak nadi ke roop men avatarit hogi. kintu pun: yahan akar meri hi patni rahogi. gnga, tum sarasvati ke shap se bharatavasiyon ka pap nash karane vali nadi ka roop dharan karake ansh roop se avatarit hogi. tumhare avataran ke mool men bhagirath ki tapasya hogi, at: tum bhagirathi kahalaogi. mere ansh se utpann raja shantanu tumhare pati honge. ab tum poorn roop se shiv ke samip jao. tum unhin ki patni hogi. sarasvati, tum bhi papanashini sarita ke roop men prithvi par avatarit hogi. tumhara poorn roop brahma ki patni ke roop men rahega. tum unhin ke pas jao.’’ un tinon ne apane krity par kshobh prakat karate hue shap ki avadhi janani chahi. krishn ne kaha—“kali ke das hazar varsh bitane ke uparant hi tum sab shap-mukt ho sakogi.’’ sarasvati brahma ki priya hone ke karan brahmi nam se vikhyat huee.[3]

brahma ne lok-rachana karane kr nimitt savitri ka dhyan kar tapasya arnbh ki. brahma ka sharir do bhagon men vibhakt ho gaya-

  • adha purush-roop (manu) tatha
  • adha stri-roop (shataroopa sarasvati).

kalantar men brahma apani dehaja sarasvati par asakt ho gaye. devataon ke mana karane par bhi unaki asakti samapt nahin huee. sarasvati ‘pita’ ko praman karake unaki pradakshina kar rahi thi. brahma ke mukh ke dahini or doosara lajja se pitavarn vala mukh pradurbhoot hua, phir pichhe ki or tisara aur bayin or chautha mukh avirbhoot hua. sarasvati svarg ki or jane ke lie udyat huee to brahma ke sir par panchavan mukh bhi utpann hua jo ki jataon se dhaka rahata hai. brahma ne manu ko srishti-rachana ke lie prithvi par bhejakar shataroopa (sarasvati) se pani-grahan kiya, phir samudr men vihar karate rahe. brahma ko is kukrity ka dosh nahin laga, kyonki sarasvati unaka apana ang thi. vedon men brahma aur sarasvati ka amoort nivas rahata hai. donon ki sarvatr amoort upasthiti ki anivaryata par dhyan dekar tatha yah dekhakar ki vah brahma ka anivary ang hai, brahma ko doshi nahin thaharaya gaya.[4]

  • shvet padm par asina, shubhr hnsavahini, tushar dhaval kanti, shubhravasana, sphatik mala dharini, vina mandit kara, shruti hasta ve bhagavati bharati prasann hon, jinaki kripa manushy men kala, vidya, gyan tatha pratibha ka prakash karati hai. vahi samast vidyaon ki adhishthatri hain. yash unhin ki dhaval ang jyotsna hai. ve sattvaroopa, shrutiroopa, anandaroopa hain. vishv men sukh, saundary ka vahi srijan karati hain.

  • ve anadi shakti bhagavan brahma ke kary ki sahayogini hain. unhin ki kripa se prani kary ke liye gyan prapt karata hai. unaka kalatmak sparsh kurup ko param sundar kar deta hai. ve hnsavahini hain. sadasadvivek hi unaka vastavik prasad hai. bharat men unaki upasana sada hoti ayi hai. mahakavi kalidas ne unhen prasann kiya tha. pratyek kavi unake pavan padon ka smaran karake hi apana kavyakarm prarambh karata tha, yah yahan ki sanatan parampara thi.
  • pratibha ki un adhishthatri ke charit to sarvatr pratyaksh hain. samast vadmay, sampoorn kala aur poora vigyan unhin ka varadan hai. manushy un jaganmata ki ahaitu ki daya se prapt shakti ka durupayog karake apana nash kar leta hai aur unako bhi dukhi karata hai. gyan-pratima bhagavati sarasvati ke varadan ka sadupayog hai apane gyan, pratibha aur vichar ko bhagavan men laga dena. vah varadan saphal ho jata hai. manushy kritarth ho jata hai. bhagavati prasann hoti hain.
  • 'bharatiy prachin kala pray: mandiron men vyakt huee hai.' pashchaty vidvanon ke ye akshep thik hi hain. bharat ne nashvar manushy aur usake nashvar arthahin krityon ko vyarth sthayi karane ka prayatn nahin kiya. bharat par bhagavati bharati ki sada samujjval kripa rahi. manav-amritaputr manav ko unhonne nity amaratv ka marg dikhaya. manav ne apani kriya ka adhar us nityatattv ko banaya, jahan kriya nasht hokar bhi shashvat ho jati hai. kala us chirantan jyotirmay se ek hokar dhany ho gayi. vah sthool jagat men bhale nity n ho, apane udgam ko nity jagat men pahunchane men saphal huee.
  • bhagavati sarasvati ke divy roop ko n samajhakar unake mnju prakash ke kshudransh men bhrant manushy us prakash ka durupayog karane laga hai. andhakar ke gart men girata to kadachit kahin atakata bhi; par vah to prakash men kood raha hai niche ghor atal andhakar men.
  • bhagavati sharada ke mandir hain, upasana-paddhati hai, unaki upasana se siddh mahakavi evn vidvanon ke itihas men charoo charit hain. yah sab hokar bhi unaki kripa aur upasana ka phal keval yash nahin. yash to unaki kripa ka uchchhisht hai. phal to hai paramatattv ko prapt kar lena. isi phal ke liye shrutiyan un vagdevi ki stuti karati hain.
