pauranik grnthon men bhimakund ka 'naradakund' tatha 'nilakund' ke nam se bhi ullekh milata hai. bhimakund ke snbndh men kee kathaen prachalit hain, jinamen se pramukh hain-

  2. bhim dvara gada prahar dvara jal ke srot prakat karana.

katha ke anusar ek bar narad akash marg se vicharan kar rahe the. raste men unhen anek vikalang stri-purush dikhaee pade. ve stri-purush n keval vikalang the, apitu ghayal bhi the tatha karah rahe the. yah drishy dekh kar devarshi narad du:khi ho ge. ve un stri-purushon ke pas pahunche aur unhonne unase unaka parichay poochha. un stri-purushon ne bataya ki ve sngit ki rag-raginiyan hain. yah sunakar narad ko bahut ashchary hua. unhonne rag-raginiyon se poochha ki tum logon ki ye dasha kaise huee? batao, tumhare du:kh-kasht ko door karane ke lie main kya kar sakata hoon? narad ke poochhane par rag-raginiyon ne bataya ki prithvi par sthit anadi gayak-gayikaon dvara doshapoorn gayan ke karan hamare astitv ko kshati pahunchi hai. ab to hamara uddhar tabhi ho sakata hai, jab sngit vidya men nipun koee kushal gayak samagan ka gayan kare. narad samagan ke gyata the. rag-raginiyon ki bat sunakar ve svayn ko rok nahin sake aur unhonne samagan ka gayan prarambh kar diya.[1]

vishnu ka dravibhoot roop

yudhishthir ki salah

is vikat sthiti men svayn ko harasnbhav prayatn se shant rakhate hue dharmaraj yudhishthir ne nakul ko smaran karaya ki usake pas yah kshamata hai ki vah patal ki gaharaee men sthit jal ka bhi pata laga sakata hai. yudhishthir ka kathan svikar karate hue nakul ne bhoomi ko sparsh karate hue dhyan lagaya. nakul ko pata chal gaya ki kis sthan par jal srot hai. ab samasya yah thi ki bhoomi ko bhed kar kis prakar jal prapt kiya jaye.

bhim ka gada prahar

bhim draupadi ki dasha dekhakar pahale hi krodh se vyakul ho rahe the, jab unhonne dekha ki jal srot ka pata chalane par bhi jal ke darshan nahin ho pa rahe hain to uhonne krodhit hokar apani gada uthaee aur niyat sthan par gada se prahar kiya. bhim ki gada ke prahar se bhoomi ki kee paraton men chhed ho gaya aur jal dikhaee dene laga. kintu bhoomi ki satah se jal srot lagabhag tis phit niche tha. n to vahan tak moorchhit draupadi ko le jaya ja sakata tha aur n hi jal ko draupadi tak laya ja sakata tha. aisi sthiti men yudhishthir ne arjun se kaha ki- "ab tumhen apani dhanurvidya ke kaushal se jal tak pahunch marg banana hoga." yah sunakar arjun ne dhanush par ban chadhaya aur apane banon se jal srot tak sidhi़yan bana din. dhanush ki sidhi़yon se draupadi ko jal srot tak le jaya gaya. choonki bhim ki gada ke prahar se bhoomi men jo kund bana, vahi kund 'bhimakund' kahalaya. is sthan par draupadi sahit pandavon ne kuchh samay vyatit kiya tha.

gaharaee

bhimakund ke bare men kuchh log yah manate hain ki yah shant jvalamukhi hai. yah parvatiy sthal men gufa ke bhitar kathor chattanon ke bich jalakund ke roop men sthit hai tatha kund ki gaharaee athah hai. ab tak kee bhoo-vaigyanikon ne gotakhoron dvara isaki gaharaee ka pata lagane ka prayas kiya hai, kintu unhen kund ka tal nahin mila. kund ke tal ke badale lagabhag assi phit ki gaharaee men tej jaladharaen pravahaman milin, jo snbhavatah ise samudr se jodati hain. bhimakund ki gaharaee bhoo-vaigyanikon ke lie aj bhi rahasy bani huee hai. yah bhi ullekhaniy hai ki is jal kund ka jal-star kabhi kam nahin hota hai.
