kaisi ajatashatruta, dharmapriyata aur nitigyta hai! dhany! ajatashatru dharmaraj ke vachan sunakar arjun pratigya karate hain ki- "yadi duryodhan ko un logon ne shanti aur prem se nahin chhoda to ab gandharvaraj ke tatp roodhir se prithvi ki pyas bujhayi jayegi." paraspar ladakar doosaron ki shakti badhane vale bharatavasiyon! is charitr se shiksha grahan karo. van men draupadi aur bhim ke liye dharmaraj ko ve tarah-tarah se uttejit karate hain aur moonh ayi sunate hain; par dharmaraj saty par atal hain. ve kahate hain- "barah varsh van aur ek sal ke agyatavas ki mainne jo shart svikar ki hai, use main nahin tod sakata. meri saty pratigya ko suno; main dharm ko amarata aur jivan se shreshth manata hoon. saty ke samane rajy, putr, yash aur dhan adi ka koee mooly nahin hai. ek bar yuddh ke samay dronachary ke vadh ke liye asaty bolane ka kam pada; par dharmaraj shesh tak poora asaty n rakh sake, saty shabd ‘kunjar’ ka uchcharan ho hi gaya. kaisi satyapriyata hai.

nishkam dharmatma

yudhishthir maharaj nishkam dharmatma the. ek bar unhonne apane bhaiyon aur draupadi se kaha- "suno ! main dharm ka palan isaliye nahin karata ki mujhe usaka phal mile; shastron ki agya hai, isaliye vaisa acharan karata hoon. phal ke liye dharmacharan karane vale dharmik nahin hain, parantu dharm aur usake phal ka len-den karane vale vyapari hain." van men yaksharoop dharm ke prashnon ka yatharth uttar dene par jab dharm yudhishthir se kahane lage ki- "tumhare in bhaiyon men se tum kaho kis ek ko jivit kar doon". tab yudhishthir ne kaha- "ap mere priy bhrata nakul ko jivanadan dijie." yaksh ne kaha- "tumhen kauravon se ladana hai, bhim aur arjun atyant balavan hain; tum unamen se ek ko n jilakar nakul ke liye kyon prarthana karate ho?" yudhishthir ne kaha- "meri do mataen thin- kunti aur madri; kunti ka to main ek putr jivit hoon, madri ka bhi ek rahana chahiye. mujhe rajy ki lalasa nahin hain." yudhishthir ki samabuddhi dekhakar dharm ne apana asali svaroop prakat kar sabhi bhaiyon ko jivit kar diya.

bhagavan shrikrishn ne jab van men upadesh diya, tab hath jodakar yudhishthir bole- "keshav ! nissndeh pandavon ki ap hi gati hain. ham sab apaki hi sharan hain, hamare jivan ke avalamban ap hi hain. kaisi ananyata hai. draupadi sahit panchon pandav himalay jate hain. ek kutta bhi sath hai. draupadi aur charon bhaee gir pade, indr rath lekar ate hain aur kahate hain- "maharaj ! rath par savar hokar sadeh svarg padhariye." dharmaraj kahate hain- "yah kutta mere sath a raha hai, isako bhi sath le chalane ki agya de." devaraj indr ne kaha- "dharmaraj ye moh kaisa! ap siddhi aur amaratv ko prapt ho chuke hain, kutte ko chhodi़ye." dharmaraj ne kaha- "devaraj ! aisa karana aryon ka dharm nahin hai; jis aishvary ke liye apane bhakt ka tyag karana padata ho, vah mujhe nahin chahiye. svarg chahe n mile, is bhakt kutte ko main nahin tyag sakata." itane men kutta adrishy ho gaya, sakshath dharm prakat hokar bole- "rajan ! mainne tumhare saty aur kartavy nishtha ko dekhane ke liye hi aisa kiya tha. tum pariksha men uttin hue." isake bad dharmaraj sakshath dharm aur indr ke sath rath men baithakar svarg men jate hain. vahan apane bhaeeyon aur draupadi ko n dekhakar akele svarg men rahana pasand nahin karate. ek bar mithya bhashan ke karan dharmaraj ko mithya narak dikhalaya jata hai. usamen ve sab bhaiyon sahit draupadi ka kalpit anrtanad sunate hain aur vahin narak men duahkhon men rahana chahate hain. kahate hain- "jahan mere bhaee rahate hain, main bhi nahin rahoonga." itane men prakash chha jata hai, maya nirmit narakayantrana adrishy ho jati hai, samast devata prakat hote hain or maharaj yudhishthir apane bhrataon sahit bhagavan shrikrishn ka darshan karate hain.

ajagar ke shiknje se bhimasen ka bachav

ek bar van ghoomate-phirate bhimasen ek ajagar ke shiknje men phns gaye. unake lautane men bahut der hone par yudhishthir pata lagane ko nikale to unako ajagar ki lapet men paya. yudhishthir ne ajagar se bhimasen ko chhod dene ke lie prarthana ki to usane kaha ki yadi mere prashnon ka thik-thik uttar de doge to chhod doonga. yudhishthir sahamat ho gaye. ajagar ne yudhishthir se dharm tatha samaj-niti ke snbndh men bahutere prashn kiye. un sabaka thik-thik uttar pakar ajagar ne bhimasen ko chhod diya. ek bar markandeyaji ne bhi kripa karake pandavon ko darshan aur upadeshon ke dvara kritarth kiya tha. pandavon ke vanavas ka samachar duryodhan ko milata rahata tha. vah karn aur shakuni adi ke kahane se, un logon ke sath, van men pandavon ko satane ki ichchha se pahuncha. kintu daivayog se aisi ghatana ho gee jisamen use lene ke dene pad gaye. bat yah huee ki usake naukaron se naukaron se gandharvon ki muthabhed ho gee. isi silasile men gandharvaraj chitrasen ne duryodhan aur karn adi ko parajit karake bandi kar liya. yah khabar pakar yudhishthir ke kahane se arjun ne chitrarath ko parast karake apane virodhi duryodhan adi ko chhutakara dilaya.

virat ka ashray
