nath sampraday ka uday yaugik kriyaon ke uddhar ke lie hua tha. jab tantrikon aur siddhon ke chamatkar evn abhichar badanam ho gaye, mady, mans adi ke lie tatha siddh, tantrik adi stri-sambandhi acharon ke karan ghrina ki drishti se dekhe jane lage tatha jab inaki yaugik kriyaen bhi mand padane lagin, tab 'nath sampraday' ka uday hua. isamen nav nath mukhy kahe jate hain : 'gorakshanath', 'jvalendranath', 'karinanath', 'gahininath', 'charpatanath', 'revananath', 'naganath', 'bhartrinath' aur 'gopichandranath'. gorakshanath hi 'gorakhanath' ke nam se prasiddh hain.

any sampradayon se sambandh

is sampraday ke parampara snsthapak adinath svayn shnkar ke avatar mane jate hain. isaka sambandh raseshvaron se hai aur isake anuyayi agamon men adisht yog sadhan karate hain. at: ise anek itihasaygy shaiv sampraday manate hain. parantu aur shaivon ki tarah n to lingarchan karate hain aur n hi shivopasana ke aur angon ka nirvah karate hain. kintu ye tirth, devata adi ko manate hain. shiv mandir aur devi mandiron men darshanarth jate hain. kaila deviji tatha hingalaj mata ke darshan visheshat: karate hain, jisase inaka shakt sambandh bhi spasht hai. yogi bhasm bhi ramate hain, parantu bhasm snan ka ek vishesh tatpary hai- jab ye log sharir men shvas ka pravesh rok dete hain, to romakoopon ko bhi bhasm se band kar dete hain. pranayam ki kriya men yah mahatv ki yukti hai. phir bhi yah shuddh yogasadhana ka panth hai. isilie ise mahabharat kal ke yog sampraday ki parampara ke antargat manana chahie. visheshataya isilie ki pashupat snpraday se isaka sambandh halka-sa hi dikh padata hai. sath hi yog sadhana isake adi, madhy aur ant men hai. at: yah shaiv mat ka shuddh yog sampraday hai.

tatvik siddhant

is panth valon ki yog sadhana patanjal vidhi ka vikasit roop hai. usaka darshanik ansh chhodakar hathayog ki kriya chhod dene se nathapanth ki yogakriya ho jati hai. nathapanth men ‘oordhvareta’ ya akhand brahmachari hona sabase mahatv ki bat hai. mans-madyadi sabhi tamasik bhojanon ka poora nishedh hai. yah panth chaurasi siddhon ke tantrik vajrayan ka satvik roop men paripalak pratit hota hai. unaka tatvik siddhant hai ki, paramatma ‘keval’ hai. usi paramatma tak pahunchana moksh hai. jiv ka chahe usase jaisa sambandh mana jaye, parantu vyavaharik drishti se usase sammilan hi kaivaly moksh ya yog hai. isi jivan men isaki anubhooti ho jae, panth ka yahi lakshy hai. is lakshy ki prapti ke lie pratham sidhi kaya ki sadhana hai. koee kaya ko shatru samajhakar bhanti-bhanti ke kasht deta hai aur koee vishayavasana men lipt hokar use aniyntrit chhod deta hai. parantu nathapanthi kaya ko paramatma ka avas manakar usaki upayukt sadhana karata hai. kaya usake lie vah yantr hai, jisake dvara vah isi jivan men mokshanubhooti kar leta hai. janm-maran jivan par poora adhikar kar leta hai, jara-maran-vyadhi aur kal par vijay pa leta hai.

is uddeshy ki prapti ke lie vah pahale kaya shodhan karata hai. isake lie vah yam, niyam ke sath hathayog ke shath karm (neti, dhauti, vasti, nauli, kapalabhati aur tratak) karata hai ki kaya shuddh ho jae. yah nathapanthiyon ka apana avishkar nahin hai; hathayog par likhit ‘gherandasnhita’ namak prachin granth men varnit sattvik yog pranali ka hi yah uddhar nathapanthiyon ne kiya hai.

ant:kriya niyam

is mat men shuddh hathayog tatha rajayog ki sadhanaen anushasit hain. yogasan, nadi gyan, shatchakr niroopan tatha pranayam dvara samadhi ki prapti isake mukhy ang hain. sharirik pushti tatha pnch mahabhooton par vijay ki siddhi ke lie rasavidya ka bhi is mat men ek vishesh sthan hai. is panth ke yogi ya to jivit samadhi lete hain ya phir sharir chhodane par unhen samadhi di jati hai. ve jalaye nahin jate. yah mana jata hai ki unaka sharir yog se hi shuddh ho jata hai, use jalane ki avashyakata nahin hoti hai.

pramanik granth

nathapanthi yogi alakh (alaksh) jagate hain. isi shabd se ishtadev ka dhyan karate hain aur isi se bhikshatan bhi karate hain. inake shishy guru ke alaksh kahane par ‘adesh’ kahakar sambodhan ka uttar dete hain. in mantron ka lakshy vahi pranavaroopi param purush hai, jo vedon aur upanishadon ka dhyey hai. nathapanthi jin granthon ko praman manate hain, unamen sabase prachin hathayog sambandhi granth 'gherandasnhita' aur 'shivasnhita' hain. gorakshanath krit hathayog, gorakshanath gyanamrit, gorakshakalp, gorakshasahasranam, chaturashityasan, yogachintamani, yogamahima, yogamartand, yogasiddhant paddhati, vivekamartand, siddh-siddhant paddhati, gorakhabodh, datt gorakh snvad, gorakhanathaji ra pad, gorakhanath ke sphut granth, gyanasiddhant yog, gyanavikram, yogeshvari sakhi, naravaibodh, virahapuran aur gorakhasar granth bhi nath sampraday ke praman granth hain.
