pashupat sampraday ke siddhant snkshep men is prakar se hain-jiv ki sngya 'pashu' hai. arthath jo keval jaiv star par indriyabhogon men lipt rahata hai, vah pashu hai. bhagavan shiv pashupati hain. unhonne bina kisi bahari karan, sadhan athava sahayata ke is snsar ka nirman kiya hai. ve jagath ke svatntr karta hain. hamare karyon ke bhi mool karta shiv hi hain. ve samast karyon ke karan hain. snsar ke mal-vishay adi pash hain, jinamen jiv bndha rahata hai. is pash athava bandhan se mukti shiv ki kripa se hi prapt hoti hai. mukti do prakar ki hai, sab dukhon ki atyantik nivritti aur paramaishvary ki prapti. dvitiy bhi do prakar ki hain, drikh-shaktiprapti aur kriya-shaktiprapti. drikh-shakti se sarvgyta prapt hoti hai. kriyashakti se vanchhit padarth turant prapt hote hain. in donon shaktiyon ki prapti hi paramaishvary hai. keval bhagavaddasatv ki prapti mukti nahin bandhan hai.

yogapratha

pashupati darshan men pratyaksh, anuman aur agam tin praman mane jate hain. dharmarthasadhak vyapar ko vidhi kahate hain. vidhi do prakar ki hoti hai-vrat aur dvar. bhasmasnan, bhasmashayan, jap, pradakshina, upavas adi vrat hain. shiv ka nam lekar hahakar hnsana, gal bajana, gana, nachana, jap karana adi upahar hain. vrat ekant men rahana chahie. 'dvar' ke antargat krathan (jagate hue bhi shayanamudra), spandan (vayu ke jhonke ke saman hilana), mandan (unmattavath vyavahar karana), shrringaran (kamart n hote hue bhi kamatur ke saman vyavahar karana), avitkaran (avivekiyon ki tarah nishiddh vyavahar karana) aur avidabhashan (arthahin aur vyahat shabdon ka uchcharan), ye chh: kriyaen sammilit hain.
