vamamarg shaktavad ka hi ek roop mana jata hai. kisi kal men laghu eshiya se lekar chin tak, madhy eshiya aur bharat adi dakshini eshiya men shaktamat ka ek n ek roop men prachar raha. kanishk ke samay men mahayan aur vajrayan mat ka vikas hua tha aur bauddh shakton ke dvara pnchamakar ki upasana inaki visheshata thi. vamachar athava vamamarg ka prachar bngal men adhik vyapak raha. dakshinamargi shakt vamamarg ko hey manate hain. unake tntron men vamachar ki ninda huee hai.

'vam' ka arth hai ki sundar, saras aur rochak upasanamarg. shakton ke do marg hain- dakshin (saral) aur vam (madhur). pahala vaidik tantrik tatha doosara avaidik tantrik sampraday hai. bharat ne jaise apana vaidik shaktamat auron ko diya, vaise hi jan padata hai ki usane vamachar auron se grahan bhi kiya. agamon men vamachar aur shakti ki upasana ki adbhut vidhiyon ka vistar se varnan hua hai.

itihas
