paran ekadashi ke vrat ko samapt karane ko kaha jata hai. ekadashi vrat ke agale din sooryoday ke bad 'paran' kiya jata hai. ekadashi vrat ka paran dvadashi tithi samapt hone se pahale karana ati avashyak hai. yadi dvadashi tithi sooryoday se pahale samapt ho gayi ho to ekadashi vrat ka paran sooryoday ke bad hi hota hai. dvadashi tithi ke bhitar paran n karana pap karane ke saman samajha jata hai.

  • ekadashi vrat ka paran hari vasar ke dauran bhi nahian karana chahie. jo shraddhalu vrat kar rahe hote haian, unhean vrat to dane se pahale hari vasar samapt hone ki pratiksha karani chahie. hari vasar dvadashi tithi ki pahali ek chauthaee avadhi hai.
  • vrat to dane ke lie sabase upayukt samay pratahkal hota hai. vrat karane vale shraddhaluoan ko madhyahn ke dauran vrat to dane se bachana chahie. kuchh karanoan ki vajah se agar koee pratahkal paran karane mean saksham nahian hai to use madhyahn ke bad paran karana chahie.
  • kabhi-kabhi ekadashi ka vrat lagatar do dinoan ke lie ho jata hai. jab ekadashi vrat do din hota hai, tab smart-parivarajanoan ko pahale din ekadashi vrat karana chahie. dusare din vali ekadashi ko 'dooji ekadashi' kahate haian.
  • sannyasiyoan, vidhavaoan aur moksh prapti ke ichchhuk shraddhaluoan ko 'dooji ekadashi' ke din vrat karana chahie.
  • jab-jab ekadashi vrat do din hota hai, tab-tab 'dooji ekadashi' aur 'vaishnav ekadashi' ek hi din hoti haian.
  • pratyek vrat ke ant mean paran hota hai, jo vrat ke doosare din prat: kiya jata hai.   • 'udyapan evan paran' ke arthoan mean antar hai. ekadashi evan janmashtami jaise vrat jivan bhar kiye jate haian. unamean jab kabhi vrat kiya jata hai to paran hota hai, kintu jab koee vrat keval ek simit kal tak hi karata hai aur use samapt kar leta hai to usaki parisamapti ka antim krity hai 'udyapan'.
