bihoo asam men manaya jane vala ek parv hai. asam ke sabhi log jati-panti, oonch–nich evn sampraday adi ke bhedabhavon ko bhoolakar bade utsah se bihoo parv ko manate hain. asam ke hare–bhare v varsha se tript maidani bhagon men vastutah tin bihoo manae jate hain, jo ki tin rituon ke pratik hain. is tyauhar ke manane se hamen apane prachin dharm ki mahanata ke darshan karane ki ek nayi drishti milati hai. yah parv nrity–sngit ke madhyam se manav man, visheshakar yuva, yuvatiyon ke lie to bahut hi khushi ka parv hota hai. yah parv asam ki prakritik chhata ko to darshata hi hai, sath hi yah bhi sndesh deta hai ki jivan ek kala hai, jo is kala ko janakar jite hain, khushiyan unake qadam choomati hai.

asam men manaye jane vale bihoo ke tin roop nimnankit hain:

  1. pratham bihoo: jise 'bohagabihoo ya rngolibihoo' kahate hain; aprail men chaitr ya baisakh ke snkraman kal men manaya jata hai. yah asam ka mukhy parv hai.
  2. dvitiy bihoo: is din ko 'katibihoo ya kngalibihoo' kahate hain. yah kartik mas (aktoobar) men hota hai.
  3. tritiy bihoo: ise 'maghabihoo' bhi kahate hain tatha yah makar snkranti (14 janavari) ko manaya jata hai.

bohag bihoo

bohag bihoo ya rngoli bihoo asam ka mukhy parv hai. basant ritu is samay apane charam par hoti hai. khet, ped-paudhe tatha belen sabhi hare-bhare hote hain. pedon par naye-naye patte a jate hain aur hava men phoolon ki mahak bhi tairane lagati hai. poora vatavaran khushaboomay ho jata hai. pakshi prasann hokar chahachahane lagate hain. vatavaran men charon or khushahali hi khushahali chha jati hai. tab manushy bhi nachane-gane ko machal uthata hai. yahi vaishakhi ka pavan din hai, jab asamiya navavarsh ka shubharambh ho jata hai. 'bihoo' ko prakriti ka anupam upahar bhi kaha jata hai.

bohag bihoo ke lie kaha gaya hai-

"bohag nohoye matho eti ritu, nahay bohag eti mah.
asamiya jatir i ayush rekha gan jivanor i sah.."

arthath vaishakh keval ek ritu hi nahin, n hi yah ek mas hai, balki yah asamiya jati ki ayurekh aur janagan ka sahas hai. chaitr mas ki snkranti ke din se hi bihoo utsav prarambh ho jata hai. ise 'uroora' kahate hain. is din bhor se hi charavahe lauki, baingan, haldi, dighalati, makhiyati adi samagri banane men jut jate hain. sham ko sabhi gayon ko guhali (goshala) men lakar bandh dete hain. vishvas kiya jata hai ki uroora ke din gayon ko khula nahin rakha jata hai. gay ke charavahe ek daliya men lauki, baingan adi sajate hain. pratyek gay ke lie ek nayi rassi taiyar ki jati hai. is parv ko aprail mas men tin din- 13, 14 aur 15 aprail tak manaya jata hai. in tinon dinon ko vibhinn namon se jana jata hai- goroobihoo (ise "uraka" bhi kahate hain), manuhorabihoo evn gamboribihoo.

goroobihoo

yah din goo ke mahatv ka pratik hai. gay sarvapriy pashu hai, isaka doodh bachchon ke lie pushtikarak hota hai. gay gomata hai. inhen pratah kal hi nadi ya pokharon men le jakar snan karaya jata hai. isake bad trishool ke akar ke bans se bane 'chant' se lauki, baingan, dighalati[1] adi gau par phenkate hain v usaki pooja-archana karate hain. lok vishvas hai ki trishool ke prayog se sadashiv prasann hote hain. moong ki dal v haldi[2] ke mishran ko isake singon v khuron par lagaya jata hai. bail, jo ki kisan ke bahut hi kam ate hain, ko bhi is gau–samman ki prakriya men sammilit kiya jata hai.

baingal, haldi v lauki ke tukadon ko pashuon ki or phenka jata hai tatha sabhi samavet svar men 'lau kha, baingan kha, bachare, bachare barahi ja" kahate hain. pashuon ka nayi rassiyon se bandha jata hai tatha bhinn–bhinn patron ki malaen unhen pahanayi jati hain.

gharon men log vishesh prakar ke svadisht vynjan banate hain. sade chaval ke sthan par kute-bhune chaval ke bhinn-bhinn prakar ke pakavan banae jate hain. sabhi upasthit logon v bachchon ko mithaiyan banti jati hain.

manuhor bihoo

yah din arthath 14 aprail ka din asam men navavarsh ke roop men manaya jata hai. is din ke mahabhoj ko bihoo kaboloee kahate hain.

is din naye vastron ke sath gamachha bhi pahana jata hai. yah vishesh prakar ka gamachha ek sundar taulie ke roop men hota hai. jisamen anek akritiyan bani hoti hain. is gamachhe ko sir ya kamar par bandha jata hai. striyan mekhali chadar v moonga resham ke akarshak vastr dharan karati hain. ye paridhan asam ke vishesh paridhan hain.

bihoo manane ko anek dal git gate aur sngit ki dhun par nrity karate hue toliyon men nikalate hain. gay jane vale bhaktigiton ko husari vidhi ke dvara gaya jata hai. is vidhi men shrikrishn ki prashnsa v unake ashirvad ki kamana ki jati hai. sadak v any margon se hote hue ye dal ek khule sthan men ekatrit hote hain. is sthan ko 'bihoo toli' kaha jata hai. nrity v saundary pratiyogitaen sabhi ke man ko prasann karati hain. vijetaon ke nam samachar-patron men ek saptah tak chhapate hain.

gnbori bihoo

yah din striyon ke lie ek vishesh sthan rakhata hai. purushon ko is din sammilit nahin kiya jata hai. striyan rat bhar baragad ke vriksh ke niche layabaddh taliyan bajakar git gati hain. baragad ka vriksh dharmik roop se atyant hi shubh mana jata hai. yah vishal vriksh dhoop v varsha men sabhi praniyon ki raksha karata hai.

kngalibihoo

agala bihoo, jise "kati–bihoo" ya "kngalibihoo" kahate hain, samanyatah aktoobar[3] men manaya jata hai. asamiya log ashadh—shravan mas men dhan ki kheti karate hain. ashvin ke ant men yah dhan pakakar sunahala svaroop le leta hai. prakriti par nirbhar kisan khet ki lakshmi 'upaj' ko sadar ghar par lane ke lie taiyar hota hai aur ashvin-kartik ki snkranti ke din upaj ki mngalakamana se khalihan evn tulasi ke vriksh ke niche dip prajjvalit karake anek niyamon ka palan karata hai. ise hi "kati bihoo" kahate hain. bihoo ke din kisan ke khalihan khali rahate hain. isilie yah mahabhoj ya ullas ka parv n hokar prarthana v dhyan ka din hota hai. choonki koee fasal katane ka yah samay nahin hota. isalie kisan ke pas dhan nahin hota, parantu isaka prayog dhyanadi karyakram men kiya jata hai. isalie ise "kngali–bihoo" bhi kahate hain. yuvak aur yuvatiyan mitavyay karana bhi is parv ke madhyam se hi sikhate hain. dhan ke kheton men man lakshmi ki pratima par ek mah tak pratyek rat dipak jalaya jata hai. tulasi ke pavitr paudhe ko ghar ke angan men lagakar use jal arpit kiya jata hai.

maghabihoo

makar snkranti ke din janavari ke madhy men, maghabihoo manaya jata hai. is avasar par prachur matra men huee fasal kisan ko anandit karati hai. yah tyauhar jade men tab manaya jata hai, jab fasal kat jane ke bad kisanon ke aram ka samay hota hai. maghabihoo par mukhy roop se bhoj dene ki pratha hai. is karan ise "bhogasi bihoo" athava "bhog–upabhog ka bihoo" bhi kahate hain. striyan chivada, chaval ki tikiya, tarah–tarah ke laru (laddoo) tatha karaee arthath tarah–tarah ke bhune hue anaj ka mishran taiyar karati hain. ye sab chizen dopahar ke samay gud aur dahi ke sath khaee jati hain. mitron tatha sage sambandhiyon ko amntrit kar adar diya jata hai.

bihoo aur lok nrity

bihoo do lokanrityon se juda hai—pahala "husari nrity" aur doosara "bihoo nrity".

husari nrity

samoohon men prarthana git v nrity, keval praudh purushon ke netritv men prastut kie jate hain. ek samooh ganv ke har ghar men dopahar se pahale pahunchakar arati, git v nrity karata hai. husari git ullasapoorn kam v dharmik adhik hote hain. ghar ke sadasy samooh ka samman pan ke bidon, supari, mithaee v dhan se karate hain. ye vastuen ek pital ki padayukt katori men rakhakar dakshina ke roop men di jati hain. is prakar se ekatrit dhan ganv ke samudayik prarthana bhavan (nam ghar), rakharakhav ya samudayik bhoj men prayog kiya jata hai.

bihoonrity

avivahit yuvak-yuvatiyan, khuli vriksh-vatika ya bagon men ek any nrity karate hain, jo ki sngit sahit ratabhar kiya jata hai. yuvatiyan apani sarvottam veshabhoosha pahanati hain. in vastron men lal pushp, mekhala tatha lal baaurdar[4] tatha blauz hote hain. navayuvak dhoti v kurta pahanate hain tatha kamar aur sir par gamachha bandhate hain.

drut gati se nachate-lubhate, navayuvak-navayuvatiyan sharir ke vibhinn angon ko natakiy v akarshak bhav se pradarshit kar manushy ki sanatan pravritti-prajanan, poshan, jivntata v vikas ko pratibimbat karate hain. yadyapi kalantar men in mahotsavon men kee prakar ke parivartan ae hain, to bhi maulikata v bhav aj bhi jivnt hain. brahmaputr ghati ka bihoo mahotsav logon ko asam ki gauravapoorn parampara ka punarsmaran to karata hi hai, sath hi manushy ki krishi v gramin jivan par nirmit shashvat vyavastha ki katha ko bhi kahata hai.
