shivaratri se ashay

shivaratri vah ratri hai jisaka shivatattv se ghanishth sanbandh hai. bhagavan shiv ki atipriy ratri ko shiv ratri kaha jata hai. shiv puran ke eeshan sanhita mean bataya gaya hai ki phalgun krishna chaturdashi ki ratri mean adidev bhagavan shiv karo doan sooryoan ke saman prabhav vale liang roop mean prakat hue-

mahashivaratri

kisi mas ke krishna paksh ki chaturdashi 'shivaratri' kahi jati hai, kintu magh (phalgun, poornimant) ki chaturdashi sabase mahattvapoorn hai aur mahashivaratri kahalati hai. garu dapuran[1], skandapuran[2], padmapuran[3], agnipuran[4] adi puranoan mean usaka varnan hai. kahian-kahian varnanoan mean antar hai, kiantu pramukh batean ek si haian. sabhi mean isaki prashansa ki gee hai. jab vyakti us din upavas karake bilv pattiyoan se shiv ki pooja karata hai aur ratri bhar 'jaran' (jagaran) karata hai to shiv use narak se bachate haian aur anand evan moksh pradan karate haian aur vyakti svayan shiv ho jata hai. dan, yajn, tap, tirth yatraean, vrat isake koti aansh ke barabar bhi nahian haian.

garu d puran mean katha

agni puran, skand puran mean katha

  • agni puran[5] mean sundarasenak baheliya ka ullekh hua hai.[6]
  • skand puran mean jo katha ayi hai, vah lambi hai- chand namak ek dusht kirat tha. vah jal mean machhaliyaan pak data tha aur bahut se pashuoan aur pakshiyoan ko marata tha. usaki patni bhi b di nirmam thi. is prakar bahut se varsh bit ge. ek din vah patr mean jal lekar ek bilv pe d par chadh gaya aur ek banaile shookar ko marane ki ichchha se ratri bhar jagata raha aur niche bahut si pattiyaan pheankata raha. usane patr ke jal se apana mukh dhoya, jisase niche ke shivaliang par jal gir p da. is prakar usane sabhi vidhiyoan se shiv ki pooja ki, arthath snapan kiya (nahalaya), bel ki pattiyaan chadhayian, ratri bhar jagata raha aur us din bhookha hi raha. vah niche utara aur ek talab ke pas jakar machhali pak dane laga. vah us ratri ghar nahian ja saka tha, at: usaki patni bina ann-jal ke p di rahi aur chintagrast ho uthi. prat:kal vah bhojan lekar pahuanchi, apane pati ko ek nadi ke tat par dekh, bhojan ko tat par hi rakh kar nadi ko par karane lagi. donoan ne snan kiya, kintu isake poorv ki kirat bhojan ke pas pahuanche, ek kutte ne bhojan chat kar liya. patni ne kutte ko marana chaha kintu pati ne aisa nahian karane diya, kyoanki ab usaka hriday pasij chuka tha. tab tak (amavasya ka) madhyahn ho chuka tha. shiv ke doot pati-patni ko lene a ge, kyoanki kirat ne anajane mean shiv ki pooja kar li thi aur donoan ne chaturdashi par upavas kiya tha. donoan shivalok ko ge.
  • padm puran[7] mean isi prakar ek nishad ke vishay mean ullekh hua hai.

mahashivaratri kaise manayean

  • tithitattv[8] ke anusar isamean upavas pramukhata rakhata hai, usamean shankar ke kathan ko adhar mana gaya hai- 'maian us tithi par n to snan, n vastroan, n dhoop, n pooja, n pushpoan se utana prasann hota hooan, jitana upavas se.' kintu hemadri, madhav adi ne upavas, pooja evan jagaran tinoan ko mahatta di hai[9][10]
  • kalanirnay[11] mean shivaratri shabd ke vishay mean ek lamba vivechan upasthit kiya gaya hai. kya yah 'roodh' hai (yatha koee vishisht tithi) ya yah 'yaugik' hai[12], ya 'lakshanik'[13] ya 'yogaroodh' hai[14]. nishkarsh yah nikala gaya hai ki yah shabd pankaj ke sadrish yogaroodh hai jo ki pank se avashy nikalata hai[15], kintu vah keval pankaj (kamal) se hi sambandhit hai (yahaan roodhi ya parampara) n ki medhak se.
  • shivaratri nity evan kamy donoan hai. yah nity isalie hai ki isake vishay mean vachan hai ki yadi manushy ise nahian karata to papi hota hai, 'vah vyakti jo tinoan lokoan ke svami rudr ki pooja bhakti se nahian karata, vah sahastr janmoan mean bhramit rahata hai.' aise bhi vachan haian ki yah vrat prati varsh kiya jana chahie- 'he mahadevi, purush ya pativrata nari ko prativarsh shivaratri par bhakti ke sath mahadev ki pooja karani chahie.[16] yah vrat kamy bhi hai, kyoanki isake karane se phal bhi milate haian.
  • eeshan sanhita[17] ke mat se yah vrat sabhi prakar ke manushyoan dvara sampadit ho sakata hai- 'sabhi manushyoan ko, yahaan tak ki chandaloan ko bhi shivaratri papamukt karati hai, anand deti hai aur mukti deti hai.' eeshanasanhita mean vyavastha hai- 'yadi vishnu ya shiv ya kisi dev ka bhakt shivaratri ka tyag karata hai to vah apani pooja (apane aradhy devi ki pooja) ke phaloan ko nasht kar deta hai. jo is vrat ko karata hai use kuchh niyam manane p date haian, yatha ahiansa, saty, akrodh, brahmachary, daya, kshama ka palan karana hota hai, use shaant man, krodhahin, tapasvi, matsarahit hona chahie; is vrat ka jnan usi ko diya jana chahie jo gurupadanuragi ho, yadi isake atirikt kisi any ko yah diya jata hai to (jnanadata) narak mean p data hai.
  • is vrat ka uchit kal hai ratri, kyoanki ratri mean bhoot, shaktiyaan, shiv[18] ghooma karate haian. at: chaturdashi ko unaki pooja honi chahie[19]
  • skand puran[20] mean aya hai ki krishna paksh ki us chaturdashi ko upavas karana chahie, vah tithi sarvottam hai aur shiv se sayujy utpann karati hai.[21] shivaratri ke lie vahi tithi many hai jo us kal se achchhadit rahati hai. usi din vrat karana chahie, jab ki chaturdashi ardharatri ke poorv evan uparant bhi rahe[22]. hemadri mean aya hai ki shivaratri nam vali vah chaturdashi jo pradosh kal mean rahati hai, vrat ke lie many honi chahie; us tithi par upavas karana chahie, kyoanki ratri mean jagaran karana hota hai[23]}.
  • vrat ke lie uchit din evan kal ke vishay mean paryapt vibhed haian[24]. nirnayamrit[25] ne 'pradosh' shabd par bal diya hai tatha any granthoan mean 'nishith' evan ardharatri par bal diya hai.[26] yahaan ham nirnayakaroan ke shiromani madhav ke nirnay prastut kar rahe haian. yadi chaturdashi pradosh-nishith vyapini ho to vrat usi din karana chahie. yadi vah do dinoan vali ho arthath vah trayodashi evan amavasya donoan se vyapt ho aur vah donoan din nishith kal tak rahane vali ho ya donoan dinoan tak is prakar n upasthit rahane vali ho to pradosh vyapt vyapak nishchay karane vali hoti hai; jab chaturdashi donoan dinoan tak pradoshavyapini ho ya donoan dinoan tak usase nirmukt ho to nishith mean rahane vali hi niyamak hoti hai; kiantu yadi vah do dinoan tak rahakar keval kisi se pratyek din (pradosh ya nishith) vyapt ho to jaya se sanyukt arthath trayodashi tithi niyamak hoti hai.[27]
  • prachin kaloan mean shivaratri ke sampadan ka vivaran garu d puran [28] mean milata hai- trayodashi ko shiv samman karake vrati ko kuchh pratibandh manane chahie. use ghoshit karana chahie- 'he dev, maian chaturdashi ki ratri mean jagaran karooanga. maian yathashakti dan, tap evan hom karooanga. he shambhu, maian chaturdashi ko bhojan nahian karooanga, keval doosare din khaooanga. he shambhu, anand evan moksh ki prapti ke lie ap mere ashray banean.' vrati ko vrat karake guru ke pas pahuanchana chahie aur panchamrit ke sath panchagavy se liang ko snan karana chahie. use is mantr ka path karana chahie- 'om nam: shivay'. chandan lep se arambh kar sabhi upacharoan ke sath shiv pooja karani chahie aur agni mean til, chaval evan ghritayukt bhat dalana chahie. is hom ke uparant poornahuti[29] karani chahie aur (shiv vishayak) sundar kathaean evan gan sunane chahie. vrati ko pun: ardharatri, ratri ke tisare pahar evan chauthe pahar mean ahutiyaan dalani chahie. sooryoday ke lagabhag use 'om nam: shivay' ka maun path karate hue shiv prarthana karani chahie- 'he dev, apake anugrah se maianne nirvighn pooja ki hai, he lokeshvar, he shiv, mujhe kshama karean. is din jo bhi puny maianne prapt kiya aur mere dvara shiv ko jo kuchh bhi pradatt hua hai, aj maianne apaki kripa se hi yah vrat poorn kiya hai; he dayashil, mujh par prasann hoan, aur apane nivas ko jaean; isamean koee sandeh nahian ki keval apake darshan matr se maian pavitr ho chuka hooan.' vrati ko chahie ki vah shiv bhaktoan ko bhojan de, unhean vastr, chhatr adi de- 'he devadhidev, sarvapadarthadhipati, ap logoan par anugrah karate haian, maianne jo kuchh shraddha se diya hai usase ap prasann hoan.' is prakar kshama maang lene par vrati ko sankalp karake 12 masoan ki chaturdashi ko jagaran karana chahie. vyakti yah vrat karake 12 brahmanoan ko khilakar tatha dipadan karake svarg prapt kar sakata hai.
  • tithitattv mean kuchh manoranjak vistar paya jata hai[30]. liang snan ratri ke pratham prahar mean doodh se, doosare mean dahi se, tisare mean ghrit se, chauthe mean madhu se karana chahie. charoan praharoan ke mantr ye haian- 'hrian eeshanay nam:', hrian adhoray nam:', 'hrian vamadevay nam:' evan 'hrian sadyojatay nam:'. charoan praharoan mean ardhy ke samay ke mantr bhi vibhinn haian. aisa bhi pratipadit hai ki pratham prahar mean gan evan nrity hona chahie.
  • varshakriyakaumudi[31] mean aya hai ki doosare, tisare evan chauthe prahar mean vrati ko pooja, ardhy, jap evan (shiv sanbandhi) katha shravan karana chahie, stotrapath karana chahie evan letakar pranam karana chahie; prat:kal vrati ko ardhyajal ke sath kshama maangani chahie. yadi magh krishna chaturdashi ravivar ya mangalavar ko p de to vah vrat ke lie uttam hoti hai[32]
  • 24, 14 ya 12 varshoan tak shivaratri vrat karane vale ko avadhi ke uparant udyapan karana p data hai. is vishay mean purusharthachiantamani [33] evan vrataraj [34] adi granthoan mean ati vistar ke sath varnan hai.
  • kisi bhi shivaratri ke paran ke vishay mean jitane vachan haian, ve vivad grast haian.[35] 'skand' ke do vachan ye haian- 'jab krishnaashtami, skandashashthi evan shivaratri poorv evan pashchath ki tithiyoan se sanyukt ki jati hai to poorv vali tithi pratipadit krity ke lie many hoti hai aur paran pratipadit tithi ke ant mean kiya jana chahie; chaturdashi ko upavas karake aur usi tithi ko vahi vyakti kar sakata hai, jisane lakhoan achchhe karm kiye hoan.' dharmasiandhu[36] ka nishkarsh is prakar haian-

'yadi chaturdashi ratri ke tin praharoan ke poorv hi samapt ho jaye to paran tithi ke ant mean hona chahie; yadi vah tin praharoan se age chali jaye to usake bich mean hi sooryaday ke samay paran karana chahie, aisa madhav adi ka mat hai.' nirnayasiandhu ka mat yah hai ki yadi chaturdashi tithi ratri ke tin praharoan ke poorv samapt ho jaye to paran chaturdashi ke bich mean hi hona chahie n ki usake ant mean.

  • ajakal dharmasiandhu mean ullikhit vidhi ka palan kadachit hi koee karata ho. upavas kiya jata hai, shiv ki pooja hoti hai aur log shiv ki kathaean sunate haian. samany jan (kahian-kahian) tamraphal (badam), kamal pushp dal, aphim ke bij, dhatoore adi se yukt ya keval bhaang ka sevan karate haian. bahut se shiv mandiroan mean moorti par lagatar jaladhara se abhishek kiya jata hai.
  • aitarey brahman[37] mean prajapati ke us pap ka ullekh hai, jo unhoanne apani putri ke sath kiya tha. ve mrig ban gaye. devoan ne apane bhayankar roopoan se rudr ka nirman kiya aur unase mrig ko pha d dalane ko kaha. jab rudr ne mrig ko viddh kar diya to vah (mrig) akash mean chala gaya. log ise mrig (mrigashirsh) kahate haian. rudr mrigavyadh ho gaye aur (prajapati ki) kanya rohini ban gayi aur tir[38] tin dhara vale taroan ke saman ban gaya.
  • liang puran[39] mean ek nishad ki katha hai. nishad ne ek mrig, usaki patni aur unake bachchoan ko marane ke kram mean shivaratri vrat ke sabhi krity ajnat roop se kar dale. vah evan mrig ke kutumb ke log aant mean vyaghr ke tare ke sath mrigashira nakshatr ban gaye.
  • shivaratri vrat ka lamba ullekh madhyakalik nibandhoan mean hua hai, yatha hemadri[40] adi.[41]

shiv bhaktoan ka mahaparv

mahashivaratri ka parv shivabhaktoan dvara atyant shraddha v bhakti se manaya jata hai. yah tyohar har varsh phalgun mas ke krishna paksh ki chaudahavian tithi ko manaya jata hai. aangrezi kaleandar ke anusar yah din faravari ya march mean ata hai. shivaratri shiv bhaktoan ke lie bahut shubh hai. bhaktagan vishesh pooja ayojit karate haian, vishesh dhyan v niyamoan ka palan karate haian. is vishesh din mandir shiv bhaktoan se bhare rahate haian, ve shiv ke charanoan mean pranam karane ko atur rahate haian. mandiroan ki sajavat dekhate hi banati hai. hazaroan bhakt is din kav d mean ganga jal lakar bhagavan shiv ko snan karate haian.

mahadev shiv ke poojan ka mahaparv

bharatiy trimoorti ke anusar bhagavan shiv pralay ke pratik haian. trirmooti ke do aur bhagavan haian, vishnu tatha brahma. shiv ka chitraankan ek kruddh bhav dvara kiya jata hai. aisa pratikatmak vyakti bhav, jisake mastak par tisari aankh hai; jo jaise hi khulati hai, agni ka pravah bahana prarambh ho jata hai. puranoan ke anusar jab kamadev ne shiv ke dhyan ko todane ki cheshta ki thi, to shiv ka tisara netr kholane se kamadev jalakar rakh ho gaya tha. pauranik kathaean

mahashivaratri ke mahattv se sanbandhit tin kathaean is parv se ju di haian:-

pratham katha

ek bar maan parvati ne shiv se poochha ki kaun-sa vrat unako sarvottam bhakti v puny pradan kar sakata hai? tab shiv ne svayan is shubh din ke vishay mean bataya tha ki phalgun krishna paksh ke chaturdashi ki ratri ko jo upavas karata hai, vah mujhe prasann kar leta hai. maian abhishek, vastr, dhoop, ardhy tatha pushp adi samarpan se utana prasann nahian hota, jitana ki vrat-upavas se.

dvitiy katha

isi din, bhagavan vishnu v brahma ke samaksh sabase pahale shiv ka atyant prakashavan akar prakat hua tha. eeshan sanhita ke anusar– brahma v vishnu ko apane achchhe karmoan ka abhiman ho gaya. isase donoan mean sangharsh chhi d gaya. apana mahatmy v shreshthata siddh karane ke lie donoan amada ho uthe. tab shiv ne hastakshep karane ka nishchay kiya, chooanki ve in donoan devataoan ko yah abhas v vishvas dilana chahate the ki jivan bhautik akar-prakar se kahian adhik hai. shiv ek agni stambh ke roop mean prakat hue. is stambh ka adi ya aant dikhaee nahian de raha tha. vishnu aur brahma ne is stambh ke or-chhor ko janane ka nishchay kiya. vishnu niche patal ki or ise janane ge aur brahma apane hans vahan par baith oopar ge. varshoan yatra ke bad bhi ve isaka aranbh ya aant n jan sake. ve vapas ae, ab tak unaka krodh bhi shaant ho chuka tha tatha unhean bhautik akar ki simaoan ka jnan mil gaya tha. jab unhoanne apane ahamh ko samarpit kar diya, tab shiv prakat hue tatha sabhi vishay vastuoan ko punarsthapit kiya. shiv ka yah prakaty phalgun krishna chaturdashi ki ratri ko hi hua tha. isalie is ratri ko mahashivaratri kahate haian.

tritiy katha

isi din bhagavan shiv aur adi shakti ka vivah hua tha. bhagavan shiv ka tandav aur bhagavati ka lasyanrity donoan ke samanvay se hi srishti mean santulan bana hua hai, anyatha tandav nrity se srishti khand-khand ho jaye. isalie yah mahattvapoorn din hai.

mahan anushthanoan ka din

shiv ki jivan shaili ke anuroop, yah din sanyam se manaya jata hai. gharoan mean yah tyohar santulit v maryadit roop mean manaya jata hai. pandit v purohit shivamandir mean ekatrit ho b de-b de anushthanoan mean bhag lete haian. kuchh mukhy anushthan hai- rudrabhishek, rudr mahayajn, rudr ashtadhyayi ka path, havan, poojan tatha bahut prakar ki arpan-archana karana. inhean phooloan v shiv ke ek hazar namoan ke uchcharan ke sath kiya jata hai. is dharmik krity ko laksharchana ya koti archana kaha gaya hai. in archanaoan ko unaki ginati ke anusar kiya jata hai. jaise –

  1. laksh: lakh bar.
  2. koti: ek karo d bar.

ye poojaean der dopahar tak tatha pun: ratri tak chalati haian. is din upavas kiye jate haian, jab unaki nitaant avashyakata ho.

shivaratri manane ki vidhi

  • ratri mean upavas karean. din mean keval phal aur doodh piyean.
  • bhagavan shiv ki vistrit pooja karean, rudrabhishek karean tatha shiv ke mantr

dev-dev mahadev nilakanth namovastu te.
kartumichchhamyahan dev shivaratrivratan tab॥
tab prasadadh devesh nirvighn bhavediti.
kamadya: shatravo maan vai pidaankurvantu naiv hi॥

ka yatha shakti path karean aur shiv mahima se yukt bhajan gayean.

  • ‘ooan nam: shivay’ mantr ka uchcharan jitani bar ho sake, karean tatha matr shivamoorti aur bhagavan shiv ki lilaoan ka chiantan karean.
  • ratri mean charoan paharoan ki pooja mean abhishek jal mean pahale pahar mean doodh, doosare mean dahi, tisare mean ghi aur chauthe mean shahad ko mukhyat: shamil karana chahie.

shivaratri ya shivachaudas nam kyoan?
