rakshabndhan ka arth

rakshabndhan ka arth hai (raksha+bndhan) arthat kisi ko apani raksha ke lie bandh lena. isilie rakhi bandhate samay bahan kahati hai- 'bhaiya! main tumhari sharan men hoon, meri sab prakar se raksha karana.' aj ke din bahan apane bhaee ke hath men rakhi bandhati hai aur unhen mithaee khilati hai. phalasvaroop bhaee bhi apani bahan ko rupaye ya upahar adi dete hain. rakshabndhan sneh ka vah amooly bndhan hai jisaka badala dhan to kya sarvasv dekar bhi nahin chukaya ja sakata.

bharatiy parampara men vishvas ka bandhan hi mool hai aur rakshabandhan isi vishvas ka bandhan hai. yah parv matr raksha-sootr ke roop men rakhi bandhakar raksha ka vachan hi nahin deta varanh prem, samarpan, nishtha v snkalp ke jarie hridayon ko bandhane ka bhi vachan deta hai. pahale rakshabandhan bahan-bhaee tak hi simit nahin tha, apitu apatti ane par apani raksha ke lie athava kisi ki ayu aur arogy ki vriddhi ke liye kisi ko bhi raksha-sootr (rakhi) bandha ya bheja jata tha. bhagavan krishn ne gita men kaha hai ki- ‘mayi sarvamidn protn sootre manigana iv’- arthat ‘sootr’ avichchhinnata ka pratik hai, kyonki sootr (dhaga) bikhare hue motiyon ko apane men pirokar ek mala ke roop men ekakar banata hai. mala ke sootr ki tarah raksha-sootr (rakhi) bhi logon ko jodata hai. gita men hi likha gaya hai ki jab snsar men naitik moolyon men kami ane lagati hai, tab jyotirlingam bhagavan shiv prajapati brahma dvara dharati par pavitr dhage bhejate hain, jinhen bahanen mngalakamana karate hue bhaiyon ko bandhati hain aur bhagavan shiv unhen nakaratmak vicharon se door rakhate hue du:kh aur pida se nijat dilate hain.[1]

bhavishy puran men ek katha ke anusar prachin kal men ek bar barah varshon tak devasur-sngram hota raha, jisamen devataon ki har ho rahi thi. duahkhi aur parajit indr, guru brihaspati ke pas ge. vahan indr patni shachi bhi thin. indr ki vyatha janakar indrani ne kaha - 'kal brahman shukl poornima hai. main vidhanapoorvak rakshasootr taiyar karungi. use ap svastivachanapoorvak brahmanon se bndhava lijiega. ap avashy hi vijayi honge.' doosare din indr ne indrani dvara banae rakshavidhan ka svastivachanapoorvak brihaspati se rakshabndhan karaya, jisake prabhav se indr sahit devataon ki vijay huee. tabhi se yah 'rakshabndhan' parv brahmanon ke madhyam se manaya jane laga. is din bahanen bhi bhaiyon ki kalaee men rakshasootr bandhati hain aur unake sukhad jivan ki kamana karati hain.

aisa kaha jata hai ki grik naresh sikandar ki patni ne apane pati ki raksha ke lie usake shatru pururaj ko rakhi bandhi thi. kathanusar yuddh ke samay puru ne jaise hi sikandar par pran ghatak akraman kiya, use usaki kalaee par bndhi raksha dikhaee di, jisake karan usane sikandar ko abhay pradan kiya aur yuddh men anek bar sikandar ko pranadan diya.[4]

utsarj kriya

shravani shukl poornima ko soory ko jal chadhakar soory ki stuti karate hain tatha arundhati sahit sapt rishiyon ki pooja karate hain aur dahi-sattoo ki ahutiyan dete hain. is kriya ko utsarj kahate hain. yah utsarj kriya bhi shravani shukl ki poornima ko hoti hai.

bahinon ki raksha ka mahotsav

rakshabndhan bahan aur bhaee ke sneh ka tyohar hai. poora din ullas v harshapoorn hota hai. gharon ki saphaee hoti hai tatha bahanen subah snanadi ke pashchath adhirata se apane bhaee ki pratiksha karati hain ki ve aen, taki unhen rakhi ka pavitr dhaga bandha ja sake. jab tak bhaee ko rakhi n bandhen tab tak bahanen vrat rakhati hain. rakhi bandhane ke bad hi khana khati hain. rakhi bndhava kar bhaee apani bahanon ko anek prakar ki bhent pradan karate hain. vigat samay men yah tyohar pati-patni ke apasi prem aur stri ki saubhagy raksha ka pratik tha.

is tyohar ko dakshin bharat men 'avani avittam' ke roop men manaya jata hai. is din brahman naya pavitr ygyopavit dharan karate hain tatha prachin rishiyon ko jal arpit karate hain.[6]
