ilachandr joshi (angrezi: Ilachandra Joshi, janm- 13 disambar, 1903 - mrityu- 1982) hindi men manovaigyanik upanyason ke arambhakarta mane jate hain. joshi ji ne adhikansh sahityakaron ki tarah apani sahityik yatra kavy-rachana se hi arambh ki. parvatiy-jivan visheshakar vanaspatiyon se achchhadit almoda aur usake as-pas ke parvat-shikharon ne aur himalay ke jalaprapaton evn ghatiyon ne, jhilon aur nadiyon ne inaki kavyatmak snvedana ko sada jagrit rakha.

joshi ji ek upanyasakar ke roop men hi adhik pratishthit hain. unake kavi, alochak ya kahanikar ka roop bahut khulakar samane nahin aya. inake upanyason ka adhar manovaigyanik yatharthavad ki sngya pata hai. manovaigyanik upanyason par ‘frayad’ ke chintan ka adhik prabhav pada, kintu ilachandr joshi ke sath yah bat poori tarah se lagoo nahin hoti. joshi ji ne pashchaty lekhakon ko bhi bahut padha tha, par roosi upanyasakaron-taaulstaauy aur daaustyovaski ka prabhav adhik lakshit hota hai. yahi karan hai ki unake aupanyasik charitron men apattijanak pratrittiyan hoti hain, kintu unake charitr nayakon men sadagunon ki bhi kami nahin hoti. udarata, daya, sahanubhooti adi unake andar yathesht roop men pae jate hain. ye nayak inhin karanon se asamajik kary bhale kar baithate hain, kintu bad men ve pashchatap bhi karate hain.

'sahity sarjana', 'vivechana', 'sahity chintan', 'ravindranath', 'upanishad ki kathaen', 'soodakhor ki patni' adi samalochana aur nibandh ke granth hain. inhonne kuchh samay tak akashavani men bhi kam kiya aur ravindr ki rachanaon ka hindi men anuvad kiya. joshiji ne bngala aur angrezi men bhi kuchh rachanaen ki hain.

joshi ji matr manovaigyanik yatharthavadi upanyasakar nahin kahe jaenge. unhonne adarsh ko bhi apani kritiyon men sthan diya. unhonne apani aupanyasik kritiyon se samaj men uchchatar moolyon ki sthapana ka saphal prayas kiya hai. sahi hai ki unhonne kam vasana ko bhi apane upanyason ka upajivy banaya hai aur veshyaon tak ko apani kritiyon ki nayika bana diya hai. par nari-samasyaon ko ubharane men bhi ve age rahe hain aur unaka samadhan bhi prastut kiya hai. ek bat yah bhi hai ki joshi ji ne any upanyasakaron athava natakakaron ki tarah apani kritiyon ke lie dhirodatt nayakon ki srishti nahin ki. unake nayak manushy ki svabhavik durbalataon se yukt hote hain, bhale hi kalakram se ve apane adhikansh doshon se mukt ho jate hain aur ek adarsh vyakti ke roop men hamare samaksh prakat hote hain.

manovaigyanik upanyasakar ‘phrayad’ ke siddhanton se prabhavit hote hain, bhale hi joshi ji ‘phrayad’ se bahut prabhavit nahin hon. ek bat phir bhi rah hi jati hai ki joshi ji ne un manogranthiyon aur kunthaon ko pakadane ka prayas kiya hai, jo damit manobhavon se utpann hoti hain. yahi karan hai ki unaki aupanyasik kritiyon men kuntha-grast patron ki adhikata hai. sahityakar nagendr ne inhen sidhe-sidhe ‘phrayad’ se prabhavit mana hai; jainendr aur agyey ‘phrayad’ ke manovigyan se prabhavit hain, to ilachandr joshi usake manovishleshan se......ve kahin bhi manovishleshanatmak pravritti aur chhayavadi snskaron se ubar nahin pate....inake mukhy patr kisi-n-kisi manovaigyanik granthi ke shikar hain. jab tak unhen granthi ka rahasy nahin maloom hota, tab tak ve anek prakar ke asamajik karyon men snlagn rahate hain, kintu jis kshan unaki granthiyon ka moolodaghatan ho jata hai, usi kshan se ve samany sthiti men pahunch jate hain.
